We truly enjoyed our time relaxing at this scenic and historic place. Right along the river, attached to walking trails in a little park. Plenty of space and all the comforts of home. We spent a cool December evening here cozying up next to the fire and reading about the history of the region. The bridge/entrance dates back to roughly 1660-1740, incredible!

Perfekte Unterkunft, wenn man seine Ruhe und abseits des Trubels sein möchte. Super süß eingerichtet und charmantes Häusschen.

Wir hatten eine tolle Zeit bei Alice, die Unterkunft ist mit allem ausgestatt was man braucht und der Pool sowie die Grillstätten sind sehr schön! Die Lage ist sehr ruhig und etwas abgeschieden aber schön in der Natur gelegen.

Casa muy bien equipada y muy limpia. Instalaciones modernas y bien cuidadas. Aurora siempre atenta para echar una mano en todo momento. Para repetir.

Dette stedet er ett eventyr!! Bildene er flotte av stedet men de yter ikke rettferdighet til denne utrolige eiendommen. Huset er kjempestort, med ett flott uteområde som er delt opp med masse forskjellige turgrupper, det er ett nydelig bassengområde, og mange steder man kan slenge seg ned i skyggen. Det er ett stort utvalg av fugler over store deler av eiendommen, for oss fra Norge var det flere ukjente arter, og påfuglene ble veldig godt kjent med. Fem store flotte fugler gikk løs, og kom gjerne bortom hvis du hadde en brødbit og avse. Hundene var utrolig koselige, tre forskjellige men vennligheten selv alle sammen. To katter var det også, og utallige fugler i store bur, som man bare ser i dyrehager. Mannen i huset er kunstner og har satt sitt eiendommelige preg på både hus og hage, med sine finurlige kunst installasjoner, gjerne med dyr og fugler som tema. Anbefales altså sååå på det varmeste. Må oppleves for å forstå hvor unikt denne eiendommen er.

Ofereci a estadia de um fim-de-semana aos meus pais. Eles acharam o lugar magnífico, com uma beleza natural incrível, rodeado de paz! Casa linda, super confortável, com direito a um pequeno almoço muito variado, com produtos frescos. O anfitrião César é muito simpático e extremamente prestável. Os meus pais adoraram a sua estadia e recomendam! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Espaço incrível e aconchegante. A responsável demonstrou-se sempre disponível e preocupada com o bem estar dos hóspedes. Tudo 5 estrelas! De realçar que o jacuzzi melhorou a experiência 😁 Perfeito para uma escapadinha na natureza, rodeada de animais e espaço verde!

I hadn’t researched the area well when I booked this home and didn’t realize that we’d be on the other side of the river from Porto. I’m so glad that I didn’t know as I might not have booked and we were thrilled with the location and the home. Being on the river was like watching a movie at all hours of the day and night. We loved the walks across the bridge to Porto and enjoyed the riverside restaurants and activities on both sides. The apartment is quiet and has very comfortable beds which is more important the older we get. There are stairs with the apartment on three levels. We enjoyed our brief times on the terrace and would have spent more time there in better weather. Isa responded quickly when we had a challenge with the washing machine and it was fixed the next day. She also showed me how to use the coffee machine, which produces fabulous coffee. It wasn’t difficult but I needed help. The place has everything needed for a great visit and we highly recommend it.

nous avons été séduits par cet endroit dépaysant, calme et magnifique ! du logement jusqu'aux équipements extérieurs , tout était super ! nos enfants de 11 et 6 ans ont apprécié également l'endroit. un super accueil de l'hôte , nous savons déjà à l'avance que nous reviendrons !!

Cecilia is a wonderful host! She is friendly and makes herself available if you need anything. The apartment is clean, nicely decorated and it feels very safe. The river is only several blocks away and it is breathtakingly beautiful! There are shopping stores, many restaurants and a few grocery stores nearby. We had our two small dogs with us and we were able to use the veterinary downstairs from the apartment. We definitely recommend Architect House!

The View at Porto was the perfect place for my family. It was luxurious and accessible at the same with its value. The bathrooms with each bedroom were an asset to my family with teens as they like their own space. Another plus was the restaurants and the hypermercado nearby. Highly recommend for those looking for a home away from home without dealing with the noise of the city at night. André was superb and quick to answer any questions. 5 stars!

Charming apartment, close to all the central sights of Porto. Excellent communication, including great recommendations! We had a fabulous trip to Porto.

I had the best stay at Jose and Luisa's. I wish I could give it more than 5 stars! The apartment is an oasis of tranquility, with pretty views over the gardens, and a little view to the river from the bedroom. It's a concrete construction, so it's very quiet, but still warm and comfortable, and the terrace is quite big, also with the garden views. Jose was so helpful, and easy to communicate with.

It is delighted that Sonia had tried her best to make our early check-in become possible. She welcomed us directly with a brief introduction of the accommodation. The house is clean and comfortable to all of us. Sónia’s place, located in Vila Nova da Gaia is a convenient location good to everywhere esp. it is walking distance to nearby sight-seeing place such as Jardim do Morro Hilltop park, Dom Luís I Bridge and Ribeira neighborhood etc. Fantastic views in both day and night could be viewed from both inside and outside of the house. Overall, good stay and will re-book Sonia’s house in the next time. Vincent

Sonia, the host, was very friendly and helpful. She sent through lots of information before my trip so I could research where to go and what to do before I arrived. There was a comprehensive ‘welcome book’ in the apartment with local information and all about the apartment. The apartment itself was spacious and felt light, airy and clean. The beds were comfy and there were extra blankets and pillows in the cupboards if needed. There was also plenty of hanging space for clothes. I could have lived there easily! The views were beautiful too. I would definitely stay there again if I revisit Porto.

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour dans la Casa Eira. Le logement correspondait parfaitement aux photos. L'environnement est calme et paisible. Idéal pour déconnecter et se reposer. Nous avons adoré. Les propriétaires sont très réactifs et viennent en aide au moindre souci. Nous recommandons et nous reviendrons.

Lovely setting in the valley with the river rushing by, out porch looked up the river and walks around the grounds were very peaceful, we really enjoyed the area. There were so many small details that made the place special, lighting in the evenings along rhe paths and by the waterfall, kind and responsive communication, lovely and well designed interior, an amazing bathtub with piping hot water, comfy sheets, firewood and more. We will definitely be back.

Jose and Aurora's place was the highlight of our month-long trip in Portugal. They have a beautiful farm in the middle of the tranquil and picturesque countryside. We spent our days swimming in the fresh water tank and local rivers, picking fresh fruit from the trees, playing with the animals, and walking through the cobblestone streets. Their place is perfect for a family with young kids, but is also a relaxing getaway for adults, too. The little cottage we stayed in was quaint, but had everything we needed to feel at home in the country. Jose and Aurora were very welcoming - their hospitality unmatched! They particularly made our kids feel special by taking them to pick passion fruit from their own personal trees and letting the help feed the geese. What an experience. Five bright stars!
