Portugal : séjours à la ferme

The house is perfect if you want to feel like you’re staying in a rural location but with the airport 10/15 minutes away and a village 200m away. The property is a lovely chalet set in 360 degree countryside. It is great for walking and relaxing but also well located to explore the island. The downstairs living space is very comfortable with a well equipped kitchen and cosy living room area including a wood fire. The downstairs bedrooms were spotlessly clean and the beds were very comfortable. Both bathrooms were also spotlessly clean. The upstairs bedroom is on a mezzanine, but around a corner from the balcony - so you are enclosed away from the living areas downstairs. Joana was a fantastic host - she was always very helpful and informative and provided some lovely local breads and jams on arrival. Thank you!

Beautiful house and garden with the most spectacular surroundings. Claudia was really helpful and quick to respond as were other people I spoke to who looked after the house. So friendly. We requested a crib and it was pristine which was really pleasant. The house was really clean and we made use of the really beautiful log burner. Made us feel cosy in the evenings I’d highly recommend Claudia’s lovely characterful house. We had a lovely Christmas there. Many thanks Claudia

O Dave e Wendy foram uns anfitriões fantásticos! Sempre atentos ás nossas necessidades e às das crianças. Deram informações sobre tudo o que foi necessário à nossa fantástica estadia. Receberam-nos com um miminho para o lanche além de frutas e legumes da época, cultivadas na sua propriedade. Deixaram-nos completamente à vontade, quer no espaço interior, quer no exterior, sentimo-nos em nossa casa! As dimensões do alojamento são melhores do que nos revelam as fotos do site. Sendo tudo optimo, é impossível caracterizar com rigor, a simpatia e humanismo do casal Wendy e Dave. No contacto com as pessoas locais compreendemos como este casal de cidadãos é acarinhado e respeitado! Por fim, até seu cão pastor belga é impressionante de afetividade, sempre meigo e bem disposto, tal como o seu gato negro, cheio de personalidade, que apenas solicita uns miminhos colocando-se de barriga para cima! Baseado no respeito e bom acolhimento, quase podia dizer que ficamos amigos. Voltaremos certamente!!

Lovely family property in a quiet location within easy reach of the lagoon. Laurent was responsive to our requests and very helpful.

We loved the homely, cosy feel of Zoe’s place, it was clean and it had everything we needed. Zoe was there to welcome us and was very helpful. The sunny terrace was lovely for enjoying long breakfasts and we loved the little dog friends that paid us a visit every now and then. The views are wonderful and we enjoyed how peaceful it was! The stove was perfect to keep us warm at night. Thank you so much for having us!

We had a wonderful stay! The authentic, centrally located cottage was perfect for exploring nearby villages, relaxing at river beaches, and savoring delicious Portuguese cuisine. Jane, our Airbnb host, gave us excellent local tips that enriched our experience. The cottage is tucked away on the village's edge, down a country road. It's easy to reach lively villages and stunning towns, but a car is essential. Overall, it's an ideal spot for a relaxing and authentic Portuguese getaway!

Preciosa finca con un granero convertido en apartamento muy bonito, con detalles que lo hacen especial, distintos ambientes, espacios muy bien pensados, digno del premio recibido. Las habitaciones de la casa grande, frescas (hizo calor) y confortables. La zona de la piscina muy agradable y amplia. Estupenda la piscina! nos lo pasamos muy bien disfrutando del baño mañana y tarde. También cómoda la cocina, éramos ocho y cuatro o cinco siempre estaban echando una mano a la hora de cocinar y limpiar sin molestarse entre sí. Tiempo para leer con silencio, para compartir momentos especiales y para reír también. Tomás siempre pendiente de lo que necesitábamos y su madre, que nos recibió, encantadora. Si podemos volveremos!!

Fomos muito bem recebidos, o Steve e a Liesa foram bastante prestáveis durante a nossa estadia e estiveram sempre disponíveis para esclarecer as nossas dúvidas. Prepararam um mapa com as zonas turísticas e restaurantes a visitar nas proximidades. Quando chegamos, a casa estava impecável e limpa. Foi tudo preparado com muito carinho. O local é rural, calmo e óptimo para descansar. No entanto, as zonas turísticas, supermercados e restaurantes são relativamente acessíveis de carro. O Steve e a Liesa garantiram as melhores condições para a nossa estadia, disponibilizando toalhas, torradeira, máquina de café aspirador, ventoinha e utensílios!

Very quit and peaceful place. We have enjoyed our stay there and wish to comeback once again. Absolute silence and harmony, all thing well arranged and everything available. We recommend everybody to stay with Ruth and Gray especially if you like to escape from the city life and relax from noise.

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour dans ce très beau gîte, magnifiquement rénové. La literie est impeccable ce qui est un point important. Francisco a été très réactif pour remplacer la cafetière nespresso qui ne fonctionnait pas, nous en avons eu une neuve dans l’après-midi de notre arrivée. Nous recommandons chaleureusement ce gîte!

Originally we were planning to go to Boom festival and were looking to rent a house nearby. It turned out that the house was much better than the festival. The property is authentic and beautiful. The house is full of history and every detail is so special. We really enjoyed our time inside and outside on the patio by the swimming pool. The kids were absolutely happy there! The kitchen is so well equipped. The living room area is stunning. The bedrooms are super comfy and the air conditioner did its job providing a refreshing coolness. Highly recommend to everyone! Thanks to to the super friendly and welcoming host!

It's a beautiful clean house in a private and quiet location. The listing is accurate. It is centrally located walking distance from the Lagoa das Furnas, the host provides a a cleaning service every 2 days and there is a wonderful restaurant in the complex run by hosts. The kids played outside and had we visited during a warmer period we would have used the pool; instead we used the fireplace.

Sehr süße, ruhig gelegene Unterkunft! Der richtige Ort zum Entspannen, zum Beispiel am dazu gehörigen Gemeinschaftspool. Wenn man sich selbst versorgen möchte, sollte man gut zufuß sein oder ein Auto dabei haben (der Mini-Supermarkt um die Ecke hat leider dauerhaft geschlossen, nächster Mini-Supermarkt ca. 25 min Fußweg). Die Nachbarn sind sehr freundlich!

Beautiful tranquil little converted farmhouse. All the amenities you need, lovely pool and very friendly dog. It is walkable to supermarket and local bars or a cab to Guimarães is very cheap. Our host was very friendly and helpful throughout.

Appartement cocoon et lieu agréable, la piscine est un vrai délice, proche de nombreux sites à ne pas rater au Portugal, joao et teka sont des hôtes très prévenants et au petits soins, je recommande vivement, ce séjour à été un des meilleurs que nous ayons fait. Merci à eux

Very nice villa with a wanderfull view over the sea and a nice pool and livingroom. Also the second floor is very nice. We spent last days of our HoneyMoon in Madeira (visited for the first time 4 years ago) and we hope to reuturn asap here ...
