Sharon was so great from the start and our stay exceeded our expectations. it was a really lovely room, quiet area very peaceful and just what we needed after a long drive. Room came with plenty to make teas when we got in and even a couple of snacks. breakfast in the morning was really great too, very filling and lots of variety. Lovely welcoming hosts who made us feel very comfortable and cared for. thank you Sharon!

Highly recommend this little haven . Lovely and comfortable environment to relax in and escape for a few days. lots to see and do in the local area too. Pam and Hayden make you feel extremely welcome and nothing is too much trouble for them. We will be returning again soon.

I had a really comfortable stay at the Borderers Guesthouse. Its a 400+ year old, characterful building in a great location for those looking to explore the Brecon Beacons. The host, Gail, is absolutely lovely. She was really welcoming upon my arrival and very attentive, making sure I had everything I needed, offered to help with my bags, showed me to my room, made local food and drink venue recommendations etc. I couldn't have asked for more really. I'd also recommend the breakfast, it was spot on. I 100% will be staying at the Borderers when I'm back to tackle the beacons again.

had a lovely stay at this lovely farmhouse beautiful both inside and out with lots of lovely things to see it had everything I needed for the stay Linda is a fantastic host who is around to greet you when you arrive and for a chat or to help in any way she can to ensure you have a comfortable stay I hope to stay again wether for work again or just to visit the area thank you Linda

This place is absolutely magical. I made a last-minute booking here while on a bikepacking trip. Despite the last-minute booking, Rose and Patrick were responsive, friendly, and went above and beyond to make me feel at home. The property and surroundings are beautiful and peaceful, and a pleasant 30-minute cycle from Brecon. I will definitely be looking to stay here again next time I'm in the area!

We just stayed one night at Margaret’s place during a winter climbing trip. The room was perfect with comfortable beds, warm shower and spotless. Check in was easy and flexible. Location is great on a beautiful farm.

We had a fantastic few days here, thanks to Idris for making us feel welcome. In particular we thought the breakfast was fantastic, delicious sausages, eggs and bacon. Just what we needed before a day of exploring the area. Very dog freindly, they enjoyed the stay too. Would recommend to anybody looking to stay in the area.

Stayed just one night as part of Borderland 500 endurance/ultra cycling event. This was an ideal location for a proper stop just off the route to get a decent night’s sleep. Breakfast was excellent and the additional dinner the night before was fabulous. Just what a very tired bike rider needed.

Tina & Dave have really adapted well to life under COVID. Obliviously it's a bit different to your usual experience of going away but they have done a terrific job to make it feel as safe as possible and ensure that your holiday isn't impacted too much. I'd certainly recommend.

Claire and Malcolm went above and beyond to make my stay perfect. called the local pub to check serving times. delicious breakfast in the morning. beautifully clean room and bathroom. flexible with my arrival time because I was on my bike. a really lovely couple and a really lovely stay. perfect in every way. thanks so much

Beautiful location-great to walk Hergest Ridge. Accommodation was great - everything we could need. Sarah and Dave are great hosts and couldn’t do enough for us. Pub attached was perfect with great ( musical when we were there ) atmosphere 👍🍺

After a busy couple of weeks and having just hosted a party for 50 people we were looking for a peaceful retreat for some R&R to end our 20th anniversary celebrations. Tall Johns House did not disappoint. The Manor House is beautiful and the walled garden was a peaceful setting where we ended up falling asleep in the sunshine. The surrounding area is stunning with beautiful views of the Brecons. Archie welcomed us and was on hand to help us and help with any queries including recommendations for a meal that evening and a taxi home. He even ran us over to the pub to pick up our car the next day. No review would be complete without mentioning the fabulous breakfast. A real treat which set us up for the day. Thank you Elizabeth and Archie for a lovely stay, which was everything we were looking for - we were thoroughly relaxed and rested by the time we left!

We had a most enjoyable stay with Emily in February. We found her warm, welcoming and interesting to chat to. Her home, set in a peaceful cul-de-sac on the edge of town, was modern, tastefully furnished, warm and comfortable. Emily prepared a delicious breakfast which was a good start to the day. Leaving our car on her forecourt enabled us to walk into town, or down to the river and was handy for visiting the castle and many bookshops. We would highly recommend Emily's and look forward to returning.

Ardwyn House was a wonderful place to stay, absolutely recommended!Roger and Katie were delightful and very friendly hosts who went out of their way to help us with a tricky situation. They have a beautiful house, with a lovely breakfast and lounge room and library and pool room for guests. Our bedroom was stylish and well appointed, with a very comfy bed. The big hot bath, tea and cake on arrival, and on coming home the next afternoon, and delicious home cooked breakfast made it perfect. Roger was very willing to accommodate dietary requirements and to store our bikes safely. I'd happily come back, which given the great local cycling and friendly town, I hope to do sometime. I recommend staying two nights, it's such a nice and relaxing place to spend time.

We love staying at Elaine's beautifull comfortable Air B&B. beautifull, cosy, good location and the breakfast is very very tasty. the bed is very comfy & the room is extremely clean. 5*Star on everything. See you soon Elaine.

Very nice stay with Julie. Tea on arrival was very welcome and after my long walk. Breakfast timed to accommodate my walk starting times. Lots of choice at breakfast. Great location in centre of Crickhowell. Very quiet and peaceful.

Rob and Vicky were great. Even though I only spent two nights they were both very nice and the house is a calm neighborhood. The house is full of art and they will explain it to you if you ask them.

The Pantry was just what we wanted, John made us feel very welcome and is a great host. The property is spotlessly clean and the breakfast was lovely. The pub two doors down is a brilliant place for an evening meal with great atmosphere.

Plas Robin - Robin's Nest - is an immaculate peaceful retreat. Dark skies were astounding, and the hillsides around were full of variety and wildlife. The property is brand new and everything you would expect for a 5* stay. Delicious breakfast (optional) and a fridge to keep drinks cold as well as a selection of teas and a coffee machine. The bath was so lovely, I want one at home now!! So much to do within a few miles, and great walks too. Cannot recommend enough for a break away from it all, and Carol and David are the most attentive and friendly hosts you could ever meet. Perfect!

What a gem of a place. Beautiful rooms, fantastic hot tub, great breakfast. I only stayed for one night but will definitely be back!

Anita was really friendly and helpful and she and Leo the dog made us very welcome, she even did breakfast birthday candles and sang happy birthday to my partner in Welsh. Stunning location and views, very near the waterfall trail, also lots of local pubs to choose from. The room was absolutely spotless and thoughtfully decorated and very comfy bed. Highly recommend.

We loved the Three Cocks. Really friendly staff and a great location near Hay-on-Wye. Loved our stay and cant wait to come back.
