The accommodation, location and facilities were perfect for a special birthday weekend for a party of 13... The house easily accommodated everyone, with plenty of space to relax. The kitchen was a superb focal point for a weekend of celebration and having access to multiple fridges was ideal. Outside, the natural pool was fabulous, as was the sauna, patio area and garden.. There are lovely walks from the house and a great local pub within reach. Very helpful neighbours on hand, if needed. Tim was an excellent host and this is a perfect setting for a special occasion.

This was the second time I’ve stayed in one of Peter and Doreen’s properties. They are always such wonderful hosts and are very accommodating. We visited Pentrenant Hall as a group of 19; 5 families with children ranging from 2 years old to 5 years old. The venue was perfect for us; the kids loved the bunk rooms and the huge dining room. The grounds are well cared for and provided an exciting and safe place for our children to explore. They particularly enjoyed toasting marshmallows by the fire pit outside! The adults managed to take advantage of the hot tub a couple of times too which was a lovely treat! And a few competitive games of table football in the games room. Overall a fantastic stay - we are already making plans to return next year!

Spacious and comfortable house for our family of 6 during a rainy February half term. The main reason to rent this place was the pool and sauna which didn’t disappoint and was great for our kids. There is a builder’s merchant right next door to the house which isn’t obvious from the photos but was not a particular problem with respect to noise etc. Lots of great walks nearby - which we will have to rediscover in the future in better weather! Thanks to Phoebe and the owners for making us feel welcome and for being available and responsive to our questions.

Picked the Lodge for a Bank Holiday break with friends and it didn’t disappoint. We were warmly welcomed by Mel who gave us some great local recommendations. House was clean and had all the required amenities. Having the pool for the morning was great fun. Would recommend Small breeds centre if you have young children and Hay on Wye for a wander round

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay, it was very peaceful and the surroundings beautiful. The lodge was nice, light and spacious. Only thing to be mindful of is that you do need to take your own bath towels and kitchen towels.

Lovely hidden family staycation! Lovely location with loads of parking Easy check-in 13 mins drive to Breacon! Brilliant hot tub with amazing views (Only comment would be Chlorine content was a tad high for anyone with sensitive skin) Kitchen and bathroom were clean and cosy! Kitchen is fully equipped with amenities (Sauce pots and trays were available but no frying pans which is no big deal) Lovely welsh biscuits on arrival! Definitely recommend for a lovely retreat!

We have stayed at Wellfield a few times now and always have a great time. Beautiful house, pool and surrounding area. Richard & Jill are lovely hosts.

A brilliant family space to stay. Its so big we played hide and seek! One guest we couldn’t find for 45 minutes! Haha! Clean, stunning! Warm, nice beds. I cannot fault our stay! If you have babies stay in not so safe to walk with prams around road. Perfect for walks without little ones though! Honestly stay here you wont regret! X

Michael was the perfect host. The cottage was immaculate, great for a weekend of mountian biking followed by relaxation in the hot tub. We will be back.

Lovely place to stay, great value for money. Good location as a base to explore North Wales. Host dealt with any enquiries very promptly and went above and beyond expectations.

The Barn is a beautifully laid out, well-appointed accomodation in a lovely location. It suited us - two families with grown children - very well, having four bedrooms, three bathrooms and a large living area with table for puzzles, large couches and TV. From the doorstep you can take walks around the larger estate, down to the lake or up the hill to catch the views. And it is well-placed as a base to spend a day hiking in the mountains (we enjoyed traversing Pen-y-Fan on a bright and extremely frosty day) or visiting nearby towns such as the delightful Hay-on-Wye. Sally and Hugh were friendly and helpful - many thanks!

We had a wonderful time staying at the Owl Barn. The barn was comfortable and had everything we needed for our staycation. It is a beautiful place inside and out. Jon left lots of information and was on hand when we needed help with the heating. We can’t wait till we can come and stay again!

I came here with my family. It was genuinely a lovely stay. The place has 3 bedrooms, a bunk bed style room, twin room and a double bed room. The downstairs is cozy but very comfortable. They provided games for us to play (my family and I got very into monopoly), and a tv there where we watched movies. It is very close to a waterfall, and has beautiful walks (the 4 fall walk being only a 15 min drive, and a very close waterfall about 5 mkn walk). It’s a lovely stay! I would definitely recommend this place!

I booked this for a family NYE holiday. We were all very excited because the photos looked amazing, and we all agreed it exceeded our expectations. The house was great fun to explore, very warm and cosy. We cooked large meals every day and the kitchen had everything we needed. Very helpful having so many plates, glasses, mugs etc. The hot tub and sauna were a real highlight, and it was great being able to access them without going outside, whilst being able to have the windows open and enjoy the spectacular views. Debbie and Jenny were incredibly kind and welcoming. Can't fault our stay, it was perfect.

Love staying here. It’s a beautiful location with lovely grounds. Some great improvements have been made since our last stay also, the photos don’t do it justice. We will definitely be back

Had a lovely few days in Hay-on-Wye and the property is perfect for getting into town. Just a short walk across the border, which was novel! Great space and nice and clean. Angie left us a bottle of milk which was well appreciated as we arrived late and meant a cup of tea in the morning.

Clean, spacious, well kitted out, very convenient for town-centre and exactly as described. Blaenavon itself has a tired charm and is interesting for its mining/ steel-making heritage. The visit to the disused mine was fascinating - we didn’t expect to be travelling 90 metres down in the original mineshaft lift and exploring the old mine; the guide, an ex miner, was great. We also walked up Blorenge hill, starting for the house’s doorstep! Had a lovely meal in the Lion Hotel/ pub, just across the road

The house was perfect for our family weekend away. It's bigger than it looks in the photos with lovely high ceilings. Wonderful to have a downstairs loo, bathroom on the middle floor and ensuite for the main bedroom on the top floor. Essential with 3 teenagers in tow! Also excellent TV and WiFi. The beds were extremely comfortable and all rooms a good size. The house was lovely and warm. Great location with a Lidl nearby and easy access to lovely walks via the Heads of the Valleys road. The hosts were extremely responsive and helpful. Recommend :)

We really had an amazing stay in this lovely cottage and I would highly recommend it. The cottage was very clean and is really well laid out for a comfortable stay for 6 people, great facilities and a really nice local pub in a beautiful part of Wales.

**Wonderful Stay at Gludy House!** Gludy House was the perfect escape! Surrounded by stunning natural beauty, the peaceful setting provided a much-needed break from city life. The house is spacious, beautifully maintained, and offers complete privacy. We especially loved relaxing in the hot tub while taking in the serene views. The host was attentive and made our stay incredibly comfortable. Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking to unwind in nature with plenty of space and luxury!

We booked for 3 nights over NYE for a group of friends, all with small children. The place was perfect! Plenty of space for everyone and very large and generous bedrooms which was a massive bonus. Plus plenty of bathrooms! Steve was a great host, very friendly and great communication. The house was very well equipped offering everything we needed for a large group of people. Location was excellent, very peaceful and a lovely garden for the kids to play in and explore. We'd definitely book again, and would highly recommend.

Absolutely lovely property in a great village - perfect for a weekend away. Easy to get to lots of walking locations also!
