This was a wonderful house for my kids and I for the weekend. Super tranquil setting, clam and quiet. The yards, both front and back, are large and the kids enjoyed them. The house is well laid out and comfortable. Close to downtown which has restaurants and shops and also 3 minutes from Walmart if you need anything there. We really enjoyed our stay and would 100% stay again.

This was the most beautiful view you will ever see! The house is spacious and peaceful. The beds were comfortable and the rooms were all a good size. Listen to the host's recommendations for everything. They graciously provide firewood for the firepit and so many extras that make the house a home. Everything was clean and labeled which we appreciated. If you have 4-wheel drive this is the best place to be if you love the views. We had amazing weather when we were here. We went by the river on the way out and I could see how all the other reviews loved the view and fishing etc. We didn't have time to go up into the river house but maybe next time. We have never seen so many stars in our whole life. We truly spent our time trying to connect, count the stars, and thank God for his beauty all around us. Thanks for sharing your slice of heaven! We hope to return next year!

Our family of seven spent two nights here to have family Thanksgiving, The drive to the house is very beautiful with mountains in the distance. The house was very spacious and clean. The integrity of the farm house itself is very warm, with many of the original floors and woodwork. The game room in the basement is a plus. Morning walks down by the creek give you an opportunity to be connected to nature. Very special visit and most definitely would recommend this charming home to others. We had a fantastic stay at John and Ericka’s Airbnb! They were excellent hosts—super responsive and easy to communicate with. The house was perfect for our work trip—clean, spacious, and beautifully maintained. Everything was as described, and the attention to detail made the stay even more enjoyable. Highly recommend this place to anyone visiting the area!

A very nice place that is quiet and peaceful. Comfortable and new furniture, great couch. Clean washroom and nice shower. Nice coffee and Hot tub.

This property is beautiful - well kept inside and out. All of the amenities were very convenient and kept us comfortable during our stay. The decor was very nice as well, it was a real treat getting to feel in touch with the history of the place. All in all, it was a very pleasant trip and I would not hesitate to stay here again if given the chance!

My trip was very busy so I didn't get to spend much time at the apartment. However, it was refreshing to come to a peaceful and clean space at the end of an active day. I had some confusion with my air bnb acct. and almost thought I was out of a place to stay but Pam was very patient and we worked through the confusion. I would stay again and recommend to others.

Both Pamela and her husband Dee were exceptionally welcoming. It was like having a friend welcome us to a new area. We enjoyed the added touches you don’t get in a hotel such as the fantastic homemade soap to the reading material around our room. The chance of a deer standing in the yard. Very personal yet professional.

This was a trip I got for my parents (in their 50s) and they had a wonderful time despite the weather being less than ideal (super rainy). When they got home they were happy and excited to share the adventure. Even went as far as to say they saw a glimpse of what their retirement could look like. So, I highly recommend as a gift to someone who enjoys the peace and serenity of the outdoors with someone they love (or go with you and your loved one if you enjoy that stuff as well)

Mr. Carlin is very attentive, there is no signal at all in the place and he was so kind to go and place a signal amplifier to be able to be connected, since I have a 9-month-old baby and it is not known what emergency is. Super recommended and very tasty the dessert he left us in the fridge

We had a great time! It was very restful and a great time to reconnect with family.

Great stay here and Bryan was really accommodating when we booked the stay last minute upon deciding to extend our Christmas holiday and take another day off after visiting family. We brought our two dogs with us. It’s a beautiful secluded spot - perfect for relaxing. The grill was perfect too and we used the charcoal side to make burgers one night. We enjoyed an outing to Blue Mountain Barrel House to have a beer and lunch by the fire pit in the cold weather.

We loved this adorable cabin in the woods. Katie is an awesome host! The furniture and bed were clean and comfy. The location is super quiet, yet close enough to amenities. The trails through the woods are fantastic and our dog enjoyed her trips to the creek. We definitely plan to return next time we're traveling through.

I had a wonderful time, and would certainly return for another visit. The experience was seamless, productive, and rewarding! At the time of my visit, March, I was a little disappointed in the condition of the hiking trails. There were several felled trees on both the trails I attempted, but given the stormy winter we've had and the season I chose, it's hardly surprising. I will say, I look forward to enjoying these trails fully next time!!

The Empty Nest was a peaceful escape for our family of 8. Plenty of open space around the home, a spacious in the living room for family games, and a well-equipped kitchen that met our needs. The hot tub and fire pit are excellent amenities to the home. The host was very responsive to our questions and needs! I highly recommend this stay.

This was our second time on the farm and we loved it! Communication was wonderful and they let us check in a little early which was great. We appreciated all the recommendations and tips for making our cabin warm and comfortable. Thank you so much for an amazing off the grid getaway.
