Donna was a great host and extremely communicative. The home was fully stocked with everything we needed and was very comfortable, especially the oversized sectional. I would definitely recommend this home and would absolutely stay again.

Randy was a great host, his home was beautiful and his family was right next door and veryyyyyyy helpful. Can’t wait to make this our home for every time we come to Virginia.

The host was so lovely and kind! She provided fresh eggs, coffee, water, s’more’s, and much more!The camper was lovely and overall it was such a peaceful stay. My two doggies loved being off the high bridge trail too. Thanks for a great stay :)

After having passed this place up on previous trips we decided to take a chance on it this visit. My husband questioned what I had gotten us into with the drive to the home but it was amazing! It is very private in a beautiful setting. It is an older model trailer home but inside was clean and perfect. There were a could spiders and lady bugs who wanted to stay with us but that’s just what happens in nature sometimes. The home was clean, the bed comfy, the views were beautiful and we had the best time relaxing and enjoying ourselves. Hampden-Sydney college was only 8 miles away which was convenient to visiting our son. And FarmVille was only about half an hour away so convenient to get around while offering peace and quiet.

Great house in a convenient location. Very clean and spacious inside. Would stay again if we are in Farmville for any reason.

Wonderful country setting, small farmhouse was tasteful, tidy and clean and had everything we needed! Extremely comfortable couch and beds/bedding. Loved sitting on the front porch swing and enjoying the dark skies to look at stars. It is a rural setting, so if you are bothered by a few ladybugs inside then it would not be for you. Home was extremely clean and comfortable, quiet, peaceful, relaxing, exactly what we were looking for! Short drive to downtown Farmville. Would stay again! If you are planning to use the back yard and fire pit, just know there is another house and cars on the property that is close to that part of the yard, so it didn’t feel very private. The backyard/fire pit does also have some various unoccupied trailers in the back which are in your view (meaning it’s not just fields and trees in the back). Still pretty but a bit cluttered looking. While the front porch is along the road, the road was quiet and it did feel quite private and relaxing.

My husband and I chose Matthew’s listing to rent for after our wedding. He was an excellent host and very communicative. I let him know we would be coming in late and he accommodated making check in easier for us since it would be dark when we were arriving. We were very pleased!
