When closing the thick vault style front door you enter a different reality and everything turns quiet. There is no daylight (when window blinds are shut) and all the artificial light sources plays a vital part in creating the futuristisk ambience. The interior live up to the pictures. It is so beautiful and every little detail is designed to contribute to the whole experience. It was a treat to have athe opportunity to experience this unique vision. But you need be in on this design driven experience because it also comes with compromises. The stair is narrow and difficult to come down from, it’s completely open between the floors and storage space is limited. The big cabinets seemed very fragile when trying to open them so we did not dare to use them. But, with that said, you should definitely visit this unique place. You will most likely never find any place like this.

We stayed at Francesca‘s place for the holidays. Veronica, the local guest coordinator, was there to welcome me and my dogs and was available for any questions I had. I was surprised by the size of the apartment as it was a lot bigger than I expected. We had a good time for our holiday getaway to disconnect. I am sure this place is even more amazing for summer holidays. Definitely recommend.

Biagio è stato un host gentile e molto disponibile. Il suo appartamento è molto grazioso e la posizione comodissima per visitare i sassi che sono immediatamente nelle vicinanze. La vasca idromassaggio una vera chicca per rilassarsi a fine giornata.

Well from all the reviews you know Pasquale’s place is very clean. It is well equipped with absolutely everything you may need. Washer, dryer, coffee machine, microwave, etc But what stood out more was Pasquale - he certainly is a super host. He spent at least 30 minutes with us telling us about the history of Matera and the must see attractions, marking it all on a map. Unfortunately we had to visit a hospital and he was so concerned for us, offering to pick us up from hospital and messaging us to make sure we were ok. Pasquale is a caring and generous host - milk, cakes, focaccia, cheese, wine, juice, honey, jams, appertivo’s, etc all supplied and still he would message us asking if anything we needed. If I could give Pasquale 10 stars I would! Very handy location to the old town, just book it! I can’t recommend Pasquale enough.

Hola! La verdad es que el alojamiento esta muy bien. Tiene de todo. La cocina esta muy equipada y hay de todo. El pueblo es tranquilo pero nosotros fuimos por trabajo. Sin duda volveremos!!

Superbe appartement rénové avec gout. Vaste et confortable, literie impeccable et cuisine moderne extrêmement bien équipé, rien ne manque. La terrasse sur le toit a une vue extraordinaire à presque 360°. Notre hôte Christina a été adorable et très disponible. Je recommande vivement Le seul petit bémol réside dans l'emplacement. Irsina est assez loin des lieux touristiques et l'appartement n'est accessible qu'à pied (on en peut se garer qu'à 400m environ)

You can buy delicious olive oil, homemade jams, and other treats to enjoy during your stay. This adds a special touch to the experience, allowing you to taste the local flavors and support the hosts' craftsmanship. Perfect in every way! Alessandro met us at the plaza near the apartment and spend about an hour helping us with our luggage, giving us a tour of the apartment and tips on where to find essential items locally. When we had a problem with the wifi he brought special tools and fixed the connection immediately. By the time we left we considered Alessandro a friend. And the apartment was the nicest and most affordable one we have ever rented on Airbnb. In addition to being a beautiful modern space, it was stocked with all of the essentials you would possibly need for cooking, bathing and laundry. While we enjoyed Rome, Naples, Ostuni and Matera, it was a treat to escape the crowds of tourists and enjoy a quiet, historic, southern Italian town. We could not have asked for a better experience and highly recommend Alessandro's apartment if you're planning to visit this part of Italy.
