Minh’s place is a treasure! The location looking over the ocean is breathtaking. We had the best sleep in months with the doors open and hearing the waves. Whales swam by a few times and walking to the beach was good exercise. I plan to return.

We really enjoyed our stay. There were many things we appreciated, like the beach gear and wagon, and the great communication from the host. I hope stay here again in the future.

The house was adorable and perfect for my family to fit comfortably. Had all the amenities you would need for a beach and sandy stay while in Hawaii. Outdoor shower to rinse off the sand, snorkeling gear, cooler, beach chairs, beach towels, boogie boards, AC and fan, etc. Felt safe and private thanks to the gated community. Super close to downtown Kona. The only feedback is that the street to enter towards the rental is right off Ali’i drive and not well marked so super easy to miss if you aren’t familiar with the area. This however is super minor and overall a great unit! The host was super responsive.

Staying at Hale Aka'ula felt like a dream, and we hated to leave. The home is beautiful and cozy and the view is spectacular. Jenne provided everything we needed for a great stay, we especially appreciated the beach chairs and boogie boards! Having on onsite caretaker downstairs was excellent for a warm welcome, local recommendations, and even sweet treats. The location is peaceful and tucked into the mountains, but only 15 minutes into Kona for great restaurants and shopping and 20-25 minutes to beautiful beaches (We enjoyed Honokohau Beach at the National Historic Park for beautiful views and sea turtles and Manini'owali Beach for white sands, clear water, and fun boogie boarding). We also enjoyed a day-long adventure to Hilo (1.5 hour drive, lunch at Hilo Bay Cafe was our favorite meal on the island) and Volcanos National Park (2 hr drive). Our only regret is that we had dinner plans every night and missed watching the sunset from the porch!

Megan’s house is absolutely breathtaking and has exceeded all expectations. We stay with airbnb a lot and this is one of the few times when the property was better than the pictures! Loved the well equipped kitchen and all of the cool art displayed throughout. The location is safe, peaceful and easy to get to places. Several great beaches within a walk or a very short drive. Our family absolutely loved it, and can’t wait to come back!

Loved getting to pick the oranges and having fresh squeezed orange juice in the morning and sitting out on the patio and enjoying the view. Also, eating the banana’s from the banana trees. It was a relaxing place to stay.

This was my first time to Hawaii. Susan’s place was the perfect choice for my family and I we enjoyed every minute of it. The views were beautiful. The beach was great and it was a comfortable place to eat dinner and to sleep at night. I would absolutely stay there again if I can make it back.

Jon’s BnB rental was wonderful, and exactly what we needed (and more). What we needed was a brief stop over after a late night arrival, before going on to a family member’s place on the other side of the island. So we needed a clean, quiet, comfortable place. This was exactly that. Jon’s instructions for finding the entrance and getting in were wonderfully easy to follow. The bed was comfortable, all the dishes and linens were clean. Had we stayed a bit longer they have a number of beach must-haves (I think I saw boogie boards and snorkel gear) that you can borrow! Would’ve absolutely been useful had we been staying! Checkout was also easy. OH - they mentioned that you might hear their dog. I don’t recall hearing the dog at all :) Jon was great with communicating as well. In all, I’m totally happy with our stay.

Beautiful view, the suite is exactly like the photos and lovely area. The hosts have lots of extra items that are very useful like beach gear and kids items.

I really enjoyed my stay at Jon and Mariluz’s place. From start to finish, they were incredibly friendly and helpful. The home was spotless, quiet, and peaceful, with a beautiful view that made my stay even more special. The bed was super comfortable, and I had some of the best, deepest sleep during my time there. What I loved most was the perfect balance of being close to town and the beach while still enjoying a quiet and serene atmosphere. Jon and Mariluz also shared amazing suggestions for places to visit, which made exploring the area even better. Anything extra I needed, they provided with warmth and kindness. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway with wonderful hosts!

Della and Max were very friendly and nice. They were very helpful with checking-in our room when we had trouble. They both shared a bucket full of fresh off-the-tree macadamia nuts which were delicious! Max shared some local suggestions with us as well. It is a quite place and isn't too far outside of Kona. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

We had an amazing stay! The apartment was so spacious, tastefully decorated and very clean. We loved watching the horses from the lanai and having Buddy the dog greet us everyday when we arrived back. We felt like we had the best spot on the island to watch the sunset. The sounds of the coqui frogs at sunset was absolutely amazing and so relaxing to fall asleep to. The kitchen was incredibly well equipped for self catering and it was really helpful having some things in the cupboards like spices, oil, syrup, etc. We were so sorry when it was time for us to leave!

We travel frequently with our teenage/ adult kids using Airbnb or other home rental services. We've only come upon a handful of hosts and homes that really seem to understand the needs of the traveler. Priscilla and Rob's home is one of them! I unfortunately did not get to meet Priscilla on this trip, but Rob went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, and yet also give us our privacy. The home is clean, organized and has all the essentials and more to make meals, and enjoy your time. The hosts provided a lovely welcome gift of food items for breakfast and snacks, as well as some beautiful produce items. If you know how expensive groceries are in Hawaii, it tells a lot about the generosity and caring of the hosts. Thank you Rob and Priscilla for a wonderful week! We made wonderful memories.

Lovely spot. It very much felt like older AirBnb, which is a compliment! Meg and Brad live next door with their kids, so it doesn't feel like a hotel stay. The place has everything you need, and the porch for sunset is basically to die for. We ended up just coming back for sunset every day during our stay because it was so beautiful. We loved our 5 days here and would recommend it to anyone.

Aloha, my wife and 2 sons stayed here and enjoyed it a lot. Safe parking on the side of the house with a nice grass area for you to hang out and bbq. The house was very clean and cozy. Both beds were very comfortable, I’ve never felt a couch bed that comfy before. We were able to use the laundry and the house had great views. We even got to know the people renting next door and they were very nice. When you wake up in the morning the birds and animals are all out and enjoying life singing. We will definitely use it again next time we come back to the Big Island. Mahalo!

This was exactly what we were looking for. My wife and I stayed for 8 days. Space was modern and as described. Easy to check in and out. Would absolutely stay here again.

Great place to stay. Clean and sizeable. There was a stocked kitchen and two bathrooms. There is snorkel gear, a body board, chairs, umbrellas, cooler, and towels available for use. There are restaurants, gas station, and groceries very close. The area is beautiful. Checking on and out took no effort. The only downside is that it was far from many of our activities. We picked this location because we had a conference at Westin Hapuna resort which is about 20 min away. Most other activities were 40-90 min away however, since we spent a lot of time on kona and Hilo. Totally recommend if you can handle a bit of driving.

Holly's place is up to date and lovely. The view from the lanai was stunning and peaceful. The sound of the waves and a comfortable made for restful nights. The location was great for the west side of the island. It was easy to get to restaurants and various beaches. Kahalu'u beach was nearby and the snorkeling was great there. We had our own masks and snorkels, but appreciated the selection of fin sizes. Neither of us needed to rent fins. We saw whales every day from the lanai and dolphins on several occasions. The kitchen was well equipped and the farm market next door was a great source of papayas and pineapples. We used the blender and fruit to make excellent frozen daiquiris. Holly was very responsive to questions and also one minor issue we had with a lamp not working. We would definitely stay here again.

This place was absolutely perfect for my family of six! We felt right at home. Everything was furnished just like a regular house, including a blender and a rice cooker, games, movies, you name it she had it. She provided accommodations with a pack and play. Always responded to my messages very quickly. And checked in on us throughout our stay.

We had an absolutely amazing experience—I can't say enough good things! Kelly's home is even more beautiful than the pictures, with stunning views throughout the complex, and a perfect spot to watch the sunset. The space was spotless and thoughtfully stocked with everything we needed, from kitchen appliances to a welcome book filled with great recommendations. Check-in was seamless, and parking was hassle-free. The host was incredibly responsive and helpful. I highly recommend this place and would definitely stay here again!

Everything was perfect. Wish we could stay longer. We miss that view already!
