Lovely stay here - great value for Puerto Viejo! Very responsive host and wonderful location - slightly out of the main town but within 10 mins walk of the centre and 5 mins walk of the beach!

Fue una experiencia maravillosa, el lugar era muy amplio y la comunicación siempre fue excelente, siempre dispuesta a ayudarnos en todo, muy amable de principio a fin, quedamos muy agradecidos con ella.

Definitely recommend Mery's spacious and beautiful place, which comes with a great view. We were very happy with our stay and would recommend it to anyone. Do note that it is located right next to an open-air gym that plays loud music from approx. 8 am to 8 pm from Mondays to Fridays. We were mostly away during these hours anyway, so it didn't bother us.

Lazy parrots is such a great place to stay. Peaceful, beautiful grounds & pool and easy access to the beach. Fabulous interiors & private terrace with a really great breakfast served to your door. Zahra went above & beyond in ensuring we received precise instructions & was amenable about our check in. Highly recommend

Paz might just be the coolest and most welcoming host out there! From check-in to check-out we had an amazing time at her place! The room was perfect, had everything we needed to have a relaxing vacation. Major plus it being so close to everything as well! Also the recommendation Paz provided for food and activities did not miss! We had so much fun exploring the town and eating all the good food we came across! Without a doubt will plan to come back and stay here! Unforgettable experience

Wir haben die Unterkunft geliebt, vor allem die Aussenküche und die Privatsphäre. Wer es gerne privat hat ist hier genau richtig. Es ist ca 4min mit dem Auto von der Hauptstrasse weg. Für uns aber perfekt dem Rummel der Gegend jeweils am Abend oder so zu entkommen.

This place was great! It’s small but it’s got a huge tv. The shower is very spacious and the water pressure is great. The a/c was perfect. The mattress was very comfortable. The kitchen was fully equipped. There was coffee for us to make in the morning. The refrigerator is big, not like the tiny fridges that other airbnbs have in puerto. And then there’s the hosts. Kassy was super responsive. Danny took us to the waterfalls and that was the highlight of our trip. I suggest that you book this place. Overall great experience!!!

Maria is a great and sweet host. The garden is beautiful and well looked after. The place is safe and has a gate. The kitchen was very well provided with daily necessities like tea, coffee, honey, olive oil, herbs etc. The location was perfect for us, away from the noice from the town, and when you cross the road you’re on the nature path along the sea going to beautiful and fun Cocles beach within 5 minutes.

We had a great stay at the River Dream House. We loved staying in the rainforest, very close to a beautiful beach (10 min walk on a private path). The hosts were very helpful and responsive. The free laundry service was also appreciated! The house is a short distance from the Jaguar Rescue center and ARA Manzanillo, we loved visiting both.

Daniel went above and beyond to make sure we had nothing short of an amazing stay here in Casa Cocles! Daniel was checking on us through the trip to make sure we knew of the local spots and must-visit areas. He also greeted us with some fresh cut fruit to munch which was very refreshing! The location is at a really convenient spot that allowed for worry-less travel between different activities. We ended up visiting the animal rescuer center, countless Puerto Viejo restaurants, Cahuita National Park, BriBri tribe territory, lots of beaches , etc and these all felt very accesible and easy to get to with or without a rental car. Some tours even offer to pick us up exactly at Casa Cocles for free! We were super grateful and happy with our stay, and will definitely be coming back here for future getaways!

Natacha was great and amazing with us !! She communicated well with us and helped us arrange anything we wanted to do or looking for. If we needed information about anything she was always accommodating us. She did not come back with just one recommendation but several. Always checking in on how we were doing, and if everything was OK, or if we needed anything. La Casa Del Mango was very clean and well organized. The amenities, awesome, well stocked with everything you would need. This whole place is amazing. Oh !! did I mention the pool, amazing. Oh !! did I mention Martin (Natacha husband) super nice, also amazing, Oh !! did I mention the wildlife, amazing. I can keep on going, and going, about La Casa Del Mango in a positive direction but I will end this review with saying that La casa definitely deserves 5 stars out of 5. Nope !!!! no negatives from our family vacation, would recommend to anyone.

My friends and I spent a lot of time researching various Airbnbs in Puerto Viejo, and are so happy we decided on this one. Not only is this house beautiful, comfortable, clean and airy, but it is surrounded by gorgeous lush vegetation. It was wonderful to see (and hear) the many birds, butterflies and even howler monkeys through the large windows in every room (and from the various patios of the house). There was greenery everywhere. The location... a short (and pleasant) walk from the main road, and the beach was perfect. Our host Mirjana, and her husband Leo, are lovely people. They are pleasant, honest, and genuine, and are amazing hosts. Mirjana was quick to respond to the many questions I had. She was always available to give advice and tips about restaurants, drivers (she recommended an excellent tuktuk driver, whom we used often), and more. Mirjana and Leo, thank you so much for making our stay at Casa Palmera so special.

Absolutely beautiful home. It really allows you to enjoy Costa Rica’s wildlife! Would stay again just for the outdoor living experience. There are a lot of bugs in the home, kitchen was not clean, and coffee pot takes about 30 minutes to make a whole lot. It also says that the beach is steps away but it is really about a 5 minute drive.

Mein Aufenthalt bei Ricardo war super - ich würde jederzeit wiederkommen. Das alte Plantagenhaus hatte einen tollen Charme.

What a wonderful stay. From the private pool surrounded by nature, trees and wildlife; to waking up to sloths in the backyard; the quiet and peaceful setting; and the comfortable room. It was just what we needed. The place is really nice and the price is right on point with what you get. Also- the wifi is really strong so if you need to work while on vacation, you are set up.

We loved our two night stay. Was well located and had many restaurants within walking distance. I will happily stay here again! Exactly as described. The restaurant next door named gypsea had the best lassi mango drink I’ve ever had! Highly recommend.

Lovely place. The landscaping is extraordinary and it was so beautiful we spent several days just staying at the house. The hotel next-door was a bonus as it had a bar restaurant where we could order drinks and food and have them delivered to the beach. the beach was empty, but you could walk a mile and either direction to go to a busier beach with beach bars and restaurants. Had a bit of an issue with the pool at one point, but Utopía Caribe, the property manager, was very attentive and remedied the problem to our satisfaction. If you're going to the Caribbean coast of Costa Rica, rent this house.

Nuestra estancia fue realmente placentera. El alojamiento estaba impecable, se notaba el cuidado en cada detalle. Nos sentimos muy cómodos y a gusto durante toda nuestra visita.

Wir waren 6 Nächte Vorort und waren sehr zufrieden . Tolle, gemütliche Unterkunft direkt gegenüber der Strand perfekt. Super Gastgeber hat uns mit vielen guten Tipps ( Strände, Restaurants, Nationalparks etc.) versorgt. gerne wieder!

El lugar es hermoso, seguro y tranquilo. Muy bien ubicado, super limpio y acogedor. Tiene unl jardin muy bonito, disfrute mucho desayunar en la cocina exterior apreciandolo. Cinzia es una excelente anfitriona muy atenta y amigable, fue un placer conocerla. Nos sentimos muy a gusto en su villa. Lo recomendamos 100%. Sin dudas volveremos!

This airbnb is exactly as the pictures. It is absolutely beautiful and very spacious. Things to note is that only the lower bedrooms have AC. The upstairs living room was very nice! The house is private, but a lot further out from town so you’ll need transportation to and from as there are not many restaurants nearby. The host, Jorge was always very responsive and helpful. Overall we had such a great stay and can’t wait to be back.
