A perfect house for 6 to share and a wonderful location for a biking adventure in Kaikoura. We were able to bike from the house to join the Kaikoura cycle trail. The house was very comfortable and warm with great views. It is a quick 5 minute drive to town for a lovely dinner at The Pier Hotel. I would highly recommend a stay at Leo’s in South Bay.

Such a comfortable stay for our family. Well equipped with everything we could’ve wanted. The kids bunk room was a hit with our 4 girls as were the outdoor swings and games. Stunning deck perfect for sunrise with the view of the ocean!! We will definitely be back

we loved it. very spacious with room for our family of 4. very close to Kaikoura proper, super close to the shore and a gorgeous track. owners are great with great recommendations. we'd def stay again if we come back to New Zealand. gorgeous area!

Spacious lounge with great views to the mountains. We made the most of the outdoor areas, having breakfast out on one deck and ending the day with dinner on the other deck. The house had everything we needed and was very comfortable. We would definately stay again.

We really enjoyed our stay here. Beautiful surroundings, very close to beaches and the Kaikōura townsite, and a very nice house with lots of outdoor space.

We had an amazing stay at this place! The accommodations were warm and inviting, and the creative decor made the place feel like a cozy haven. We had private access to the beautiful beach, where we even spotted dolphins! There were plenty of seating options, both indoors and outdoors, and the gardens were so lovely. Meagan was an incredible host, and we would definitely love to stay here again on a future visit.

An absolute gem, and easily the best place I have ever stayed! The cottage is cozy, clean, and fully stocked to make yourself at home. The property is second to none, surrounding you with vineyards, mountains, and rolling green hills with frolicking sheep and horses. Rudi and Tonimarie are some of the most gracious hosts you will find; delivering fresh veggies from their garden, wine from their renowned vineyard, and walks to a hidden river. My only regret? Not staying a minimum of 5 days. If you are looking for a short stay, do your future self a favor and rearrange your trip now to ensure you are staying at this amazing cottage for as long as you possibly can!

Don’t expect a lot of activities nearby—it’s all about unwinding and enjoying the peaceful surroundings. Paul, the host, was brilliant—easygoing and always close by if needed. A cozy spot to recharge.
