Beautiful home with excellent views of the lake and valley--it was especially lovely as the leaves were turning. Also, the place has dark skies for star-gazing on a clear night. All rooms were clean and as-presented in the photos and description. Jeff sent some very helpful info and photos to help us drive in to the house--especially helpful since the last ~1 mile is on a private, relatively narrow road. Also, my Android Maps app on my phone was clearly sending me to the wrong location (i.e., not to the lake), so we relied on my spouse's I-Phone--which brought us right in. (Interestingly, Google Maps on my laptop had showed the correct location, but Google navigation on my phone was pointing elsewhere.) Recommend you pre-check your nav feature in advance of your arrival. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a serene location with great views and lake access.

The view from the property and house was spectacular!! What a great place and anything you needed was there , kayaks & paddles, tubes to float, fishing poles, grills, tables seating on the lower patio… I will be coming back if at all possible! The only negative is the large number of steps to get in the house (if you are older)….. but we literally were on the shaded patio or on the dock most of the time. Again just an awesome place!!

This was an amazing stay. Byron was very responsive. The house is just as described on the listing. The deck is definitely the spot for an amazing view of the campus. Had an awesome time with the kids, and this place made the difference!!!!

Fantastic place to stay for a long girls' weekend! House is gorgeous and worth every penny!!! We were there in January, and it was still amazing. Can't imagine what it's like when it's warmer!

While our primary reason for travel was swim competitions at the Christiansburg Aquatic Center, this property offered a truly exceptional and welcome respite. From the moment we arrived, we were struck by the cleanliness and the overall sense of tranquility, providing a perfect counterbalance to the intensity of the competitions. It truly felt like the comforts of home, with thoughtful touches that made our stay incredibly enjoyable and relaxing. The beautiful views were a particular highlight, offering a stunning backdrop that allowed us to unwind and recharge. It was hard to leave!

Our family of 12 just spent an amazing Thanksgiving here. It was plenty big enough for all of us to spread out. In fact, it is bigger than it seems in the pictures. Even though it’s November we thoroughly enjoyed the outdoor deck and the dock. We took our Christmas card picture with the beautiful scenery behind us. I highly recommend this house - it has everything you could want!

Our family enjoyed a wonderful stay. This home has great views & is a nice place for peaceful walks. It had a nice area for our grandkids to play with a pool table, pinball & many games. There is a well-stocked kitchen. There is ample living space & the master bedroom/bathroom are very nice. The gas fireplaces provided a cozy, warm atmosphere on cold days. Henry was a very friendly, accommodating & responsive host. We enjoyed meeting him. Our family gathered here from all over the US & enjoyed our time here together very much!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Beautiful scenery and great little getaway spot for a weekend! Joseph was very hospitable and helpful in making sure we had everything we need. We look forward to hopefully visiting again another time!

The Sunflower Suite is a wonderful space! It is cozy and feels like home. We especially enjoyed the fireplace. The bed is extremely comfortable, and the entire apartment is clean and inviting. Patricia and Gene are kind and hospitable. We will definitely be staying here again on our next trip to Christiansburg.

The mill was a perfect place for us. We love history and the setting was beautiful. For such an old structure we found it to be warm,cozy, beautiful and very comfortable. The floor to ceiling windows were wonderful. We enjoyed taking our E bikes out even at 43*! Very scenic and little to no traffic on the road. Such a gem! Many thanks to the hosts for creating a lovely getaway and sharing it with the rest of us!

Our stay at the Roost was very pleasant. We especially enjoyed the river access and hung out down there a couple of times. One of our favorite things was the lack of a TV. It added to the unplugged rustic experience we enjoy. Thank you Michael for sharing your space with us.

Thank you for a lovely and peaceful stay! The place and atmosphere is beautiful and serene. We especially loved the amazing out of this world dream shower!! The shower alone was worth the stay. I mean you gotta see this amazing spa like shower. Also the host was very kind and attentive and genuine. As far as I'm concerned this is a "must stay" if traveling thru the area. Thanks guys.

A beautiful location matched with a stunning condo. The back deck that has a gate so the dogs can hang out and explore, walkable and quiet. Not a lot close by so bring some food along. Great ambience with the fireplace and kitchen. I would definitely stay here again.

This Airbnb is great value, especially for a solo traveler. The big wall-mounted TV was very nice and having easy walking access down to Toms Creek was a huge plus. I will happily stay here again if I need to return to the Blacksburg area.

We went for a football game and the room was just what we needed! Very comfortable and the space is walkable to many places. Christine was great at communication and we’d love to stay there again for another hokie event!

I can honestly say this was one of the best Air BnBs I have ever stayed at. It over exceeded our expectations and all of the directions were clear and direct. I will also say the check out instructions were very convenient and didn’t involve a bunch of extras like other Air BnB’s. I really hope if anyone has the opportunity to stay at this location with amenities for any type of family gathering it is definitely worth the price.

We really appreciated Lauren's communication and flexibility during our stay. Even when issues arose, she and Phill handled them with kindness. We really appreciate them being accommodating with us.

We loved our stay! It was our first experience renting a room in a private home, and it was a pleasant surprise. We felt extremely comfortable, and all our needs were met. There were many additional touches that made our stay even more enjoyable. We highly recommend it!
