This home is a gem in disguise. The landscaping is absolutely beautiful. We came here for a week. It was a long drive from the San Jose international airport but well worth it. Very sweet local town. The people in the town are really nice. The food is absolutely delicious and clean. Ice cream is delicious. We had a wonderful vacation, celebrating our sister’s 60th birthday. We loved having the pool to relax at during the heat of the day. Great kitchen to make breakfast everyday. Grocery store is not far at all. The dog and 2 cats are so cute and sweet. I 100% recommend this beautiful paradise home to everyone. 🩷 Susana was fantastic!! Thank you to the owner for sharing your home

Wir hatten eine sehr tolle Zeit in der Unterkunft! Das Haus ist wunderschön und groß, der Garten ist auch toll und es gibt sehr viele Tiere, die man beobachten kann. Der Strand Playa Cocles ist 30m entfernt, nur einmal über die Straße gehen. Er ist traumhaft und man kann sehr weit entlang spazieren. Puerto Viejo ist mit dem Auto ca. 10min entfernt, es gibt Uber, Taxis und Tuk Tuks. Man kann sich auch Fahrräder ausborgen, was auch toll ist um die Landschaft zu genießen. Die Straße ist etwas laut, aber es stört nicht. In der Nacht fahren auch kaum Autos. Ana, die Haushälterin wohnt nebenan und ist sehr nett und immer hilfsbereit. Sie hat uns auch eine Schüssel mit Obst als Willkommensgeschenk gemacht - das war sehr gut! Wir können die Unterkunft wirklich empfehlen, vor allem wenn man mit größeren Gruppen unterwegs ist!

Great location and beautiful place.

We had an incredible, memorable stay at Maythemi, Kalani, and Kalil's home. From the moment we arrived, everything exceeded our expectations. The house was spotless, nicely decorated with a charming island vibe, and had all the amenities we needed for a comfortable stay. We loved starting our mornings with coffee on the veranda overlooking the beautifully landscaped front yard. The beachside location was perfect with close proximity to Puerto Viejo and the magnificent area beaches, restaurants, and attractions. Our hosts were exceptional, they were delightful, always responsive to our needs and questions, and full of great recommendations for making the most of our vacation. This stay was amazing and we can't wait wait to get back to Maythemi, Kalani, and Kalili's slice of paradise in the future.

This place is absolutely beautiful!!! It has everything you need and was very clean. Pedro and Sylvie are the best Hosts. They are always there if you need anything and can help you find local places. The house is just a few steps to the ocean. The view from the upstairs living area looking out to the ocean is breath taking!! We saw Sid the sloth several times along with lots of birds and a monkey!! We enjoyed the pool and used the BBQ pit - which is really great! The house and grounds are just beautiful so much more than the pictures!!! I did not want to leave and I'm planning a trip back just as soon as possible!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Punta Juancito!!! Juan and his on-site caretakers Sujey and Alvaro were wonderful hosts who catered to our every request and need. A highlight was the lobster dinner that Alvaro prepared for us the evening of our arrival. Punta Juancito is a classic, traditional beach house and thus the perfect place for a relaxing time. We especially enjoyed having the beach across the street so we could take early morning swims and strolls before others appeared and it got hot. Don’t hesitate to stay here!!

Don’t hesitate—book this place now! Our stay here was absolutely magical. We were surrounded by incredible wildlife without even leaving the complex—a sloth was practically at our doorstep! While it’s not luxury, the accommodation is charming, clean, and well-equipped, with comfy beds and great amenities. Aside from the soothing sounds of nature and the ocean, it’s wonderfully peaceful. The beach is just a short walk away, and on our adventures, we spotted howler monkeys, hummingbirds, and even turtles. I can’t recommend this place enough—it’s been the perfect start to our Costa Rica trip!

My family of 6 stayed here a week. This house is stunning and had everything to offer that we ever could need. The private walkway to the beach was fantastic and the beach was quiet and beautiful. Between waking up to howler monkeys in the morning with coffee and taking a swim in the pool or at the beach in the afternoon, it was very relaxing. The small towns and shops are very close. They are all about a 5 to 15 minute drive. Punta UVA beach was very cool to swim at and we saw a couple of sloths and capuchin monkeys trying to snag some groceries from a local grocery store. Eric was great!! He gave us recommendations to really good local restaurants, attractions and tuk tuk rentals. We had a blast and would highly recommend this place and area to anyone!

We loved our stay at Tucán Escondido! Amazing setting, comfortable and spacious home for a small group. Great space for a small group or family in a serene setting but close to the attractions of Puerto Viejo.

Amazing location and such a serene place!! The hosts were super communicative and we’d definitely come back. The outside shower was a huge highlight!

El lugar es muy lindo, al principio como llegamos tan noche nos preocupaba lo solitario pero en definitiva un lugar súper tranquilo, ideal para un viaje en pareja, mucho silencio solo el ruido de los árboles, los pájaros y algunos monos ❤️ Lo recomiendo full, es un poco oscuro al entrar de noche pondría un poco más de luz de ahí en fuera un excelente lugar para hospedarse ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

GREAT house!!! Huge, open spaces. Beautiful exterior with lush landscaping and a great pool. Perfect house with a lot of character. Big kitchen, perfect to host dinner for a large group and with all the things you need to cook. Overall fantastic experience! Would highly recommend to anyone visiting the area. And Mariana is the best host! Easy to communicate with, very flexible with requests, and she put this together for our group on short notice!

Great location, convenient to Cahuita & Puerto Viejo. Great value for a whole house with a private pool and beautiful outdoor living space. We watched capuchins playing above the backyard and a toucan perched above the house one morning and we heard howler monkeys, as well. Check in was a little tricky because you have to meet the manager, Yordi, at the home for check-in, but he was very responsive to texts and was good to work with. The home had everything we needed. Water pressure was very poor in the master shower, but was great in the 2nd bath, so we just used that one. We loved the European style bedding. Thanks for a lovely stay.

Best vacation I ever had and Janet and this AirBnB played a big role in that. The house was SO spacious and airy and connected with the nature surroundings. I could have laid in the second floor hammock all day listening to the rainforest sounds and reading a book. If you’re new to this area, literally any restaurant you walk to will have the best food you’ve ever eaten in your life. Janet was so welcoming and accommodating and fun to talk to. If you want a big, open mansion of a house in the middle of the rainforest, this is heaven.

Hermoso casa en playa negra . Todos los detalles muy cuidados , el Amoblamiento , los utensilios de cocina, la ropa blanca y baño todo de primera calidad , excelente opción para unos días en puerto viejo de Talamanca.

You will love Victoria’s cabina, we do. We cook in the outside kitchen daily, although there are really good restaurants nearby. The Wifi is super strong and not once a problem. A/C is nice too. Flora and fauna all over the quiet, secure property with a lot of birds. The fresh pineapple Victoria grew on the property was a real treat. The beach is only a ten minute walk and town is a thirty to forty minute awesome beach walk or a TukTuk in five minutes, which we do on occasion. We had booked a month and within ten days decided to book an additional month. It’s that nice to us. Victoria is a super host and very accommodating.

I would highly recommend staying at Manu's place, Lucas was a great host. the house is a great space, lovely indoor/outdoor kitchen and living area that is a pleasure to spend time in. will definitely stay again

Our family enjoyed our stay at La Perla very much. The owners and our host were all friendly, welcoming, and responsive. We saw just as much wildlife on the property and short walk down the lane to the road as we did on our other national park and eco tour activities while in Costa Rica. The location is nearby to several restaurants (walkable), the beach (5 min walk), a chocolate farm tour and store, and a short drive to multiple grocery stores. The lodgings were private, clean, and accurate to the photos, however not that the first photo of the yellow coloured patio is over the owner's main building and not of your personal casita (it also has a lovely patio though!). The pool is regularly cleaned. We felt safe and happy here. We would certainly stay again if we return to this part of Costa Rica on a future vacation.

Very beautiful stay. Impeccable accommodation, well-located, clean, and secure. Attractions and beaches are 5 to 10 minutes by walk. Comfortable bed and bedding, and hot shower. The pictures do not do the views justice! The stunning landscape of the property and ocean view is absolutely breathtaking! We spent a lot of time lounging by the pool, which was the perfect temperature for cooling off on the beautifully warm days. The house was well appointed and had everything we needed to prepare and enjoy a meal. Agatha and her housekeeper, were very kind and helpful. One thing to be mindful of: the floor to ceiling windows/doors that open up in the master bedroom have a small gap along the bottom and no screens to stop bugs from coming in. That being said, we were careful to keep most of the lights off throughout the house once the sun set each day, to avoid waking up to any unwanted surprises. Well worth it to wake up to the most stunning view every morning! I would not hesitate to book Agatha's lovely home again!
