We were greeted by David and Penelope upon arrival with a warm welcome. We stayed on the ground level in the 2 bedroom suite with our own kitchenette however we received two wonderful meals per day with request. Our hosts were wonderful, informative, and accommodating arranging for a monkey tour through the Mangroves by boat and informed us of the tortuga release just down the beach from where we were staying so we could take the easy 5 minute walk to watch the release. Oh, speaking of the beach, it was amazing to have such an amazing expanse to walk wash day. We couldn't be more happy with our decision to stay with David and Penelope. Looking forward to our next stay with them.

We were 2 adults and 4 children (4, 6, 11, 13). We spent 9 days at Finca Manglar. We all loved this vacation and the length of stay was perfect. Luis was a perfect guide, always available and in upbeat spirits. We took most breakfasts and dinners. Delicious, local and healthy. We bought milk, bread, spreads, fruit/veg and snacks in a big supermarket on our way from San Jose to Palmar Norte. You can also get snacks and some food in a cute corner store about 2-3km away (we rode there on horses). I’m not going to repeat all the positives that the previous reviews said about this location. I wholeheartedly agree with them. Lia helped us get the transportation from SJ to the boat in Palmar Norte. Nice, easy scenic drive on the way there, just try to avoid Sunday afternoon travel back to San Jose because of the congested traffic.

The home is tucked into the mountain. We were greeted by Williams' huge smile and made us feel welcomed. The porch overlooks the valley. The view is incredible. The family is precious. Our daughter loved playing with their children. The family has a coffee farm that you can walk a trail to view. We lived sitting on the porch, listening to thr birds and immersing ourselves in nature. Our last morning- a rainbow was in the valley. The family is helpful and kind. We would be thrilled to stay here again if we make it back to Monteverde. (Their coffee is pretty amazing too)

Idyllic surroundings - gorgeous and accessible. This place was exactly our pace. Breakfast was lovely and the pool was clean and perfect. The beach access is directly off the lawn and it’s breathtaking, especially at sunset. You share a bathroom with shower with one other room.

A great place to spend a week at the end of our trip to Costa Rica. Carlos and Marvin were very friendly and helpful. The kitchenette was great so we could prepare our own meals, when we didn’t want to eat out. Great hikes to the waterfalls and Playa Grande and Playa Cocalita. Really enjoyed our stay.

This place is a great find and an amazing location for the park, we loved seeing the wildlife in the garden and relaxing by the pool too. The staff were really friendly and helpful with parking and the bags. The breakfast was delicious and generous. Overall, this was great value and I would recommend.

A quick 10-15 minute walk to downtown Tamarindo, Jesslyn’s place was a perfect fit for our large group. The unassuming entrance leads to a hidden oasis with a pool, games, open kitchen and dining area. The rooms are climate controlled and provide a comfortable and private space. Jesslyn and her team were friendly and responsive. Stop by La Lucha for some tasty tacos!

Very happy with my stay. Price is very reasonable, the room was very clean. I shared a bathroom and toilet with 2 other rooms. I could park my car. Shared kitchen. Overall very pleased.

Overall great place to stay and good value - we would return! The pool was perfect for cooling off after a day of exploring, and the surrounding space was inviting and comfortable. It was the ideal spot to relax, read a book, or chat with other guests. The overall vibe was really chill and laid-back, which is exactly what we were looking for in Nosara. Lots of ants in the room but it was expected, they seemed harmless - room was cleaned on a daily which we appreciated.

The place is amazing, is a resort next to the beach with a private road to it. The staff is GREAT, the common areas are awesome, and is relatively close to the things you can do in Manuel Antonio, I would say that if you are looking for a nature retreat PLEASE BOOK THIS HOTEL, is surrounded by beautiful fauna and the views are just great. Only thing is that the host doesn't respond or give indications to get to the place I guided myself thanks to a comment that said the name "Shana by the beach" you can just google it and the gps will take you there.

Cristina and her husband are so nice, I was worried I would t be able to find the house, but photo looks exactly like real life and they stayed up waiting for me even though I didn’t get in until 8 pm. Cristina right away asked if I was hungry after traveling all day and made me tilapia and it was so good. They have a sweet little blind cat, house feels like authentic Costa Rican house, so cutely decorated, feels very homely. Bedroom is huge and bathroom is huge with jacuzzi - couldn’t get drain to plug right, but shower is wonderful and easy to use. She has all the amenities for you that you could dream of. They have a beautiful garden patio to sit out on. They even offered to drive me to airport for 10 dollars even though my flight was at 6 am, they really go above and beyond and make you feel like you’re at home. Bed was cozy with the most soft pillows ever, I slept great before my flight, great place to stay before or after your flight!!

Ericka was very friendly and we felt right at home. The appartment was very clean and didnt miss anything. Very beautiful gardens around the place and lots of restaurants/cafes in walking distance. Would stay here again!

Recomiendo este lugar es exactamente igual que en las fotos, es bastante cerca de todo lo necesario, al frente está la playa, el desayuno es bastante bueno, los trabajadores son muy atentos, pasamos un buen rato y vamos a volver !!

Great accommodation. Place looks super cool. Everyone is super friendly and welcoming. Augustin was a great host. It’s not the most quiet place at night, but we’ve got some earplugs with us.

What a great place, owners and staff were a joy. Restaurant had amazing food. Can’t wait to go back.

My mom, husband, and I stayed here before our flights out of Costa Rica and we thought the stay and Edward’s hospitality were amazing. My mom ended up coming to the stay first as I got food poisoning and had to stay behind with my husband at our last airbnb and Edward was extremely helpful and welcoming—she was very worried about traveling in another country without us and had not planned to be navigating on her own. We were so grateful that we chose this place to settle all her worries! Edward’s offered services of airport transport were a lifesaver for my mom and us as well. He was even willing to help my husband take the rental car back before we left! The Airbnb itself is super cute and secure. We didn’t spend the night, but had time to relax and found the furniture very comfortable. I would highly recommend this place to anyone traveling in and out of the airport. You won’t regret it!

We had an incredible stay at this bed and breakfast. The owners, who also run the place themselves, have put so much care into every detail—right down to the beautiful, functional furniture they built themselves. They truly nailed both the “bed” and “breakfast” aspects—we left feeling completely rested and refreshed. One tip for future guests, especially during the peak of the dry season: embrace the afternoon heat rather than fighting it. Take advantage of the thoughtful amenities—make a refreshing glass of iced tea or water (everything you need is provided), turn on the air, close the shades, and relax on the exceptionally comfortable beds. Even a nap isn’t a bad idea! By around 4:00 PM, it cools off enough to fully enjoy the pool, play darts, or challenge someone to a game of billiards. This is a truly special place, and we’d absolutely stay here again!

We feel so blessed to have experienced Kristopher and Marie’s one-of-a-kind Airbnb accommodation. It is thoughtfully curated for those who are seeking an authentic experience nestled amongst Monteverde’s symbolic cloud forest. From the moment we arrived, they spared no expense in making us feel right at home by explaining all the features and amenities, providing us with a reservoir of information on local activities and for always being accessible. The inclusive daily breakfast was deliciously unforgettable, especially the homemade sourdough avocado toast and açaí bowl. We slept like babies every night and relished the breathtaking views. Marie also offers a morning yoga class which was the perfect way to start off the day. We genuinely enjoyed every second and would highly recommend to anyone who wants to be immersed with nature.

We loved our stay; the place is beautiful and spotless and the setup makes it easy to mingle with other people or to be private, whichever you like. Kyna and Elmer were extremely helpful when we had a couple of medical emergencies come up. The breakfasts were healthy and delicious; Marjorie and Kyna did a fantastic job with that. Elmer offered great suggestions about where to go for snorkeling and bodysurfing.

Me gustó mucho el lugar, las personas que atienden son muy amables y te dan una cálida bienvenida. El restaurante es delicioso, todo lo que preparan se ve que lo hacen con amor y la comida es muy tradicional. La habitación es bonita, tiene suficientes cobijas y tiene un balcón súper lindo que tiene vista a un jardín.

Ruth und Andreas ist mit ihrer Finca Chiribita ein perfekter Mix gelungen: drei Bungalows in reduziertem Schwarz-Weiß- Design stehen in gekonnt gebändigter Natur. Schon beim Aufwachen schaut man durch die Fensterfront auf das Tal mit seinem üppigen Grün. Auf der Terrasse kann man Stunden nur mit Schauen verbringen. Ruth beantwortet zugewandt alle Fragen, Andreas entpuppt sich als Spitzenbäcker: jeden Morgen gibt es auf der Terrasse ihres Wohnhauses ein köstliches Frühstück mit frischem, selbst gemachten Brot und vielen Früchten. Auch wer ohne Auto unterwegs ist, kommt per Uber von dort schnell ins Orosi-Tal oder nach Cartago.

Stayed in the sunflower room. It's a beautiful house and great location. Mario is welcoming. recommended for a stay in Herradura.
