My family and I spent a magical week in Costa Rica at France's home. We made so many wonderful memories! The house is beautifully designed and impeccably maintained, both inside and out. The salt water pool was a source of great enjoyment. We often swam after breakfast and again after dinner, often going late into the evening. Sonia, our chef, and her crew prepared some of the best meals we had in Costa Rica. They also kept the house clean and in good order, a real task given we were nine travelers ranging in age from 2 to 75! We spent many days just relaxing at the house to spend time with each other and take in the beautiful ocean view. Anggie was an excellent host, and responded very quickly to any questions or requests. For a wonderful time in Costa Rica, I highly recommend this home!

Beautiful and cozy guesthouse in a gorgeous location. Hosts were considerate, helpful, and communicative. This is a great mountain town close to SJO. The pictures do not do it justice. Even more gorgeous in person.

The location can’t be beat! Just being able to sit on the patio every morning and evening listening to and watching the ocean was so peaceful. The house was perfect for our family of 3. The kitchen is very well set up with lots of working space and a view of the ocean while you cook! The lawn is gorgeous with many hammocks to relax in while kids played football. Then there’s the beautiful beach just steps from the house. Lila was so responsive and accommodating for our family. We truly were able to live Pura Vida while here! Thank you, Lila, for sharing your home with our family!

Our one-week stay at The Inner Light Yoga Lodge was truly enchanting and soul-nourishing. From the moment we entered the gate, we were surrounded by natural beauty. Each morning began with a 7 AM yoga session led by Federica, accessible to all levels, followed by a nourishing breakfast delivered to our patio table. A refreshing dip in the pool prepared us for a day of exploring the vibrant beach life of Samara. Our hosts, Federica and Roberto, took wonderful care of us, offering thoughtful recommendations for local attractions. We were captivated by the exquisite sunsets at the south end of Playa Carrillo and the wild beauty and solitude of Playa Barrigona. Evenings were perfectly capped off with a walk to Amor de Mama, home to the best "soda" in town. Samara is truly one of a kind, and so is The Inner Light Yoga Lodge.

We had a fantastic stay at this Airbnb. The house is larger than the pictures make it out to be, and their host and concierge services were the best I’ve experienced. Air conditioning in every room, and plenty of space. Location is about a 15-20 min walk to the “start” of the beach, but recommend renting a golf cart as the road is busy and you’re uphill on the way back. One thing to be aware of is there isn’t much shade in the back by the pool during the heat of the day. Only one sun umbrella was available and handful of lounge chairs. We also found the kitchenware, particularly the knives, to be quite worn out, so consider bringing some of your own if you plan on making meals. Excellent stay, great value.

We stayed at the house at the top of the property. It is a beautiful house. It was very clean the only downside was the musty smell, especially in the kitchen. The bed is comfortable. We stayed for 4 nights and stayed at the house for two days chilling and enjoying the pool. We saw some monkeys and a few toucans. And the views are just breathtaking. It could only have been better if the internet had been faster. What was amazing was the speedy response after issues with the power and the internet – in a few minutes the power was back on and Richie sent a guy to fix the internet. We would definitely rent again if in the area. P.S.: in my opinion a 4x4 is a must not just a recommendation.

If you are searching for a large house in Costa Rica for a peaceful group getaway with everything at your fingertips - stop now!! This place is the answer!! We were 11 friends/family celebrating my 40th birthday and it couldn’t have been more perfect. Playa Matapalo right out the door, a pool with a view, private and beautiful rooms (that make it feel like you have privacy but also are sharing space with family and friends when you want), and the best concierge team you could ask for!! We just fell in love with Flori, Jackson and Coco (our chef for a few nights) - they literally went above and beyond to make sure our week was perfect. We cannot wait to come back to this piece of paradise in Costa Rica!! Thank you Paola & Perry for sharing your space - we feel so fortunate!

This was my second stay in Gustavo's place. Gustavo is an amazing host, and one of the best hosts that I've experienced on Airbnb. He is very responsive, and provides many toiletries that other places did not provide. The apartment is big, clean and has an amazing view. The apartment is in a good location and has many things that are walkable. I would definitely stay in Gustavo's place again.

El apartamento tiene todas las comodidades para pasar una estadía en Tamarindo. Está ubicado al lado del Restaurant Sofía que es una gran alternativa para ir. La ubicación sin dudas es muy conveniente ya que está a 100 metros caminando de Playa Tamarindo y muy cerca de Playa Langosta. La comunicación con los propietarios fue muy rápida y siempre estuvieron disponibles. Incluso para brindarnos algunos detalles extra para la casa. Recomendable tanto para una estadía corta o más larga. Gracias Hassan, Mehmet y Ned!

This property was beautiful and clean, I loved the back porch with the pool and ocean view. The location was easy to get to, and the property was securely gated with plenty of parking space. The inside is gorgeous with a well equipped kitchen, very spacious bedrooms and bathrooms and a big living room area. A big plus was that we had access to the Crocs hotel next door, with access to all the pools and restaurants. We especially loved seeing the macaws all around the property! Would highly recommend staying here if you are going to vacation in this area.

Tolle hoteleigene Trails und sehr schöner Poolbereich. Sehr gutes Essen und freundliches Personal. Sehr schnelle Reaktion auf Fragen und sehr hilfreiche Hinweise. Sehr empfehlenswert !

Outstanding stay in every possible way. Sue and Joe have created an oasis in the jungle. The lodging itself is beautiful and matched the photos but what sets Southern Drakes Lodge apart is the service. We are a family of 5 and never have we felt so taken care of in all our travels. From the moment we booked to when it was time to depart, Sue and Joe took care of every detail from taxis, laundry, tours (thank you Elsa!), amazing meals (Thai and Ellie prepared breakfast and dinner that were as beautiful as they were delicious). Five days was not enough but we all left with a sense of gratitude that we were able to experience the OSA peninsula and stay in such a special place with amazing hosts.

Der Aufenthalt im Hotel Macao hat mir sehr gut gefallen. Die Lage am Strand ist traumhaft. Die Zimmer sind sauber und geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Die Mitarbeitenden an der Rezeption sind sehr nett und leisten sehr gute Arbeit. Ich habe mich an diesem Ort sehr willkommen gefühlt und habe die Zeit im Hotel Macao und Samara sehr genossen.

Séjour parfait ! Hôte attentif et disponible. Activités exceptionnelles - sortie bateau et kayak en eaux bioluminescentes absolument magiques. Organisation impeccable. Je recommande vivement cette location pour son confort et ses expériences uniques.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

Kris and Marie are exceptional hosts. They have built their own peaceful paradise. We enjoyed the eco friendly and vegan hosting and we particularly liked that they were so helpful and communicative. They helped us book transport from La fortuna and they had loads of helpful recommendations for things to do and places to eat. The breakfast is brilliant. Very filling and the pancakes and Açai bowl we really enjoyed alongside our chai tea. This is a unique place built by them, with an eco toilet and they live upstairs while you have your own space and privacy downstairs. We also did the yoga with Marie which we really enjoyed and was worth every penny. The accommodation is on a steep dirt road which we did walk up a few times and used taxis when we were too tired. Kris kindly picked us up from where the shuttle dropped us when we arrived as it would have been really hard to climb up with our suitcase. We also got to see monkeys at the bottom of the road!

Ruth und Andreas ist mit ihrer Finca Chiribita ein perfekter Mix gelungen: drei Bungalows in reduziertem Schwarz-Weiß- Design stehen in gekonnt gebändigter Natur. Schon beim Aufwachen schaut man durch die Fensterfront auf das Tal mit seinem üppigen Grün. Auf der Terrasse kann man Stunden nur mit Schauen verbringen. Ruth beantwortet zugewandt alle Fragen, Andreas entpuppt sich als Spitzenbäcker: jeden Morgen gibt es auf der Terrasse ihres Wohnhauses ein köstliches Frühstück mit frischem, selbst gemachten Brot und vielen Früchten. Auch wer ohne Auto unterwegs ist, kommt per Uber von dort schnell ins Orosi-Tal oder nach Cartago.

If you need accommodation near the airport, this will be a perfect choice! Edward is very nice and helpful. He picked us up from the airport late at night. At the end of the holiday he took us to the airport very early in the morning! Thank you. The accommodation is excellent. You just have to expect the noise of the landing plains. But that is the price of accommodation near the airport and it will be an issue of every accommodation in this area.

Cristina and her husband are so nice, I was worried I would t be able to find the house, but photo looks exactly like real life and they stayed up waiting for me even though I didn’t get in until 8 pm. Cristina right away asked if I was hungry after traveling all day and made me tilapia and it was so good. They have a sweet little blind cat, house feels like authentic Costa Rican house, so cutely decorated, feels very homely. Bedroom is huge and bathroom is huge with jacuzzi - couldn’t get drain to plug right, but shower is wonderful and easy to use. She has all the amenities for you that you could dream of. They have a beautiful garden patio to sit out on. They even offered to drive me to airport for 10 dollars even though my flight was at 6 am, they really go above and beyond and make you feel like you’re at home. Bed was cozy with the most soft pillows ever, I slept great before my flight, great place to stay before or after your flight!!

We had a wonderful stay at Joe's place in Samara. It is a lovely old Tico house centrally located a couple of blocks from the beach. There is a large upstairs porch with tables, chairs and hammocks where we spent many of our mornings and late afternoons. The garden is beautiful and peaceful. The women who prepared our breakfast were sweet and made delicious gallo pinto. Other guests were friendly and interesting.
