We walked in and the Christmas tree lights were on and Christmas music was playing. It was lovely. It's a beautiful home and very cozy. Having a bedroom and full bath downstairs makes a difference for many of us (young and older) who may have trouble navigating the stairs to the second floor. This location is nice and quiet yet close to all the essentials. I spoke with Dottie before our stay and she was very nice, helpful, and informative. Thank you again Dottie! Our family loved our stay here, plenty of space to spread out and a well appointed kitchen for cooking. We loved paddling around the cove in the two kayaks.

We stayed here for the Maine Pond Hockey Tournament weekend. Location was great--a few minutes off the highway. There was a lot of snow so we didn't explore outside but we enjoyed the covered deck area a little bit and the views from the house. It was my MIL's first airbnb experience and she's now sold on them instead of hotels! Everything was super clean and I felt safe having my 15 month old run around there. If you have a little one, they provide a fold out gate for the stairs that we reinforced with a chair so he couldn't move it. If you have a crawler, just be careful because there is a gap under the stairs they might be able to squeak under but with that being said we were able to block the area no problem for our little one just in case! The game room was great and so much fun. When I had a question, they responded in the app chat within moments. We highly recommend this home and hosts! We would stay here again in a heartbeat.

The cabin was very nice. It was as the posted description. The host was very proactive about the details of the cabin and the surrounding area. He was also very responsive to any questions. It was a very cute cabin.

We had an amazing time over valentines day weekend. There was a snow storm and Kent snow blowed around our vehicle to make sure we could get out. The house is very comfortable and peaceful, amazing view of the river and just off the road enough to not be bothered by passing traffic. Definitely recommend!!!!

Beautiful location, accommodating host and very responsive and flexible. The place is a hidden gem right next to the lake. It is in a very secluded setting, definitely worth it.

We had a wonderful time in Dedham and the Narrows Lake House was a great home base. The lake is absolutely beautiful, and the house is relatively close to Ellsworth and Bangor, as well as Acadia. Really nice place to wake up every morning (with the added plus of a very friendly dog named Miss Aspen who will definitely say hi!). The house is pretty far back on a long and narrow gravel road, so it's not particularly walkable and you'll want to have a car that's at least a little bit suited for it. Our rented minivan was just fine but an older vehicle or one with dim headlights might make it a little tricky. The floors are also quite thin and sound travels downward, so if you have kids or louder members of your group, you'll want to have them stay in the basement if possible. Finally, Colleen was a kind and attentive host! She reached out before the stay, which was very appreciated, and is delightful to talk to. You'll be very well taken care of if anything does happen.

Camp Chickadee was a beautiful and peaceful retreat. Greatly enjoyed the scenery and wildlife of Molasses Pond. Instructions and information for the stay, check-in and check-out were very clear and Ron was proactive in reaching out prior to stay. Appreciated the local recommendations for the area, as well as the kayaks for exploring the pond. Was a great base for exploring Acadia National Park while having a scenic and private retreat to come back to at the end of the day. Looking forward to visiting Eastbrook again in the future!

I could not overstate the beauty and peacefulness of this location. Good proximity to Bar Harbor and Acadia but private with stunning views. The description and photos are accurate, we found the host responsive and welcoming. Would definitely recommend!

This was our second stay at Brian's place, and it was just as beautiful and peaceful as we remembered. The serene atmosphere and stunning views made it the perfect getaway. Brian was a fantastic host, and we truly felt at home. We will definitely be back!

Very nice stay. Remote and peaceful. Inside the cottage was lovely. Lots of natural light. Hosts had a lot of goodies for guests.

I loved this place! Enjoying coffee and meals outside on the deck overlooking the lake and beautiful surroundings of nature. I felt safe there and was a charming neighborhood. I loved that there were boats to use and a dock to watch sunset an autumn harvest moon over lake! Jess was the perfect host and made sure everything was great when I arrived. She was very helpful when I had any questions and I am looking so forward to going back there again! Thank you Jess for sharing this wonderful place!!!

Great stay! The cabin was clean, comfy, and cozy, and overlooked a great view of the lake. K was a very communicative and kind host.

A great private place to stay when visiting Acadia! Only about 40 minutes away from Bar Harbor.

The cabin was very comfortable, quiet, and just as described. Everything you need for cooking is already there. The bed was comfortable, everything was clean, wifi was amazing. We went kayaking one day and it was beautiful. There are tons of rocks just below the surface of the water near the islands but you can see them because the water is so clear. The drive to the cabin is a long gravel road and thankfully we have 4WD because it might have been harder to get up the driveway from the cabin if we didn’t. There were loons on the pond every day and night but they were fun to see and hear. We also had some hummingbirds visit the feeder at the cabin and loved watching them our whole stay. The water from the faucet is from the lake but it’s so clear you almost wouldn’t know it. I would highly recommend staying here if you want a quiet, natural place to relax.

We felt very at home. The place is even better than the pictures. Nice walking trails near house. The walk to the dock is a little steep, so walk carefully, especially at night. We are already looking forward to staying with Christopher next year!

Comfy little cabin in the woods! We enjoyed having a fire in the fire place as it got pretty chilly at night. Relaxed in the screen room and played games one afternoon. The bed was comfortable and the view waking up in the morning was wonderful! Loved the LED mirror! Close to Belfast…we went to the indoor farmers market there on Saturday. Lots of goodies, and a nice view of the bay. We parked down at the mill one day and visited The Lost Kitchen venue. Then walked down to the Hills to Sea trail entrance and enjoyed a lovely walk thru the woods. Never did get to use the kayaks. The walk up and back to the lake might be a bit steep for some so just a heads up on that. Dan and Julia were very communicative and they provided binders with lots of local information. Nice and peaceful escape! Thanks so much!
