This historic property in Maryland is an amazing find. The property is a lovely two plus acres with many cozy retreats to stop and take in the wonderful trees. If you want a more rigorous outdoor experience, there is a lovely park 5 minutes away and a larger area with an arboretum about 15 minutes away. It is an easy walk into downtown which has several restaurants. The hosts have thought of everything, and I do mean everything. The character of the house is exceptional, but it is comfortable not stuffy. Lots of amazing artwork and books throughout. The kitchen is fully stocked and comfortable to eat or cook in. The rain shower in the bathroom was delightful and the beds are comfortable. It was a perfect place to have a mini family reunion for a few days. We will be visiting the house again

An absolutely beautiful property with every imaginable amenity! From the elegantly designed rooms, the fully outfitted kitchen, and the relaxing outdoor spaces, this home has it all. Tammy is a wonderful, proactive and responsive host. She made everything easy. Our group thoroughly enjoyed our stay and we can’t wait to come back again. 10 out of 1 recommend!

As others have said, beautiful and spacious house with stunning views on the water! The house was clean, kitchen filled with all the tools for cooking (even things like wax paper, aluminum foil, all the spices you could think of, etc.), and we loved the ping pong table in the garage. The grounds were super peaceful and fun to walk around. We came in November so the pool was covered, but it was great to go out on the dock and kayak on the water. Not sure if it was the cold or not, but on some of the doors, the deadbolt was a little sticky and difficult to turn, so we just avoided these doors throughout our stay. We would love to come back in the summer time/when the weather is warmer to enjoy the pool! Also very much appreciated that we could bring our dog.

Great place with plenty of room. Very clean and had all amenities that were needed for the stay in the kitchen, bathrooms, and bedrooms. Hosts were very attentive and responsive. Will definitely stay here again when we need a place in the area.

We came to the area for a wedding and had 8 adults and 2 children. There was plenty of room and everything was very clean and welcoming. There was a large table for all of us to fit at and eat together and we especially enjoyed our time in the hot tub. Janean was very quick to respond and gave us great recommendations for dinner. The area was beautiful and we would definitely love to come back some time in the future and stay at the Wildbluesea Retreat!

Our stay at Loblolly was perfect. The house is beautifully modern, with gorgeous furnishings and incredible light. We were in Maryland to visit our Midshipman, and this was the perfect location to escape from the pressures of school and work and enjoy meaningful family time. We followed directions from Lauren on restaurants and markets and made a delicious crab and steak feast. It was a chilly and rainy spring weekend, but the fire made our stay cozy and fun. We took advantage of some of the games and enjoyed watching the ospreys soaring over the water. Lauren was extremely responsive and kind when needed, and we would absolutely stay here again.

It was a great place, had a lot of fun, peaceful and quiet environment. House was clean and amazing! Everything was just so perfect in there and It was great being out there.

Katie was an amazing host and communicator! We loved the space and it was exactly as it was shown. The location was unbeatable. Would love to stay here again!

We have nothing but praise and gratitude for this lovely river hideaway in the woods after our weeklong restorative "working vacation" there. The apartment is cozy and comfortable, the surrounding area is beautiful, the hosts are lovely, and despite the feeling of privacy and "middle of nowhere" there are great stores, restaurants, area attractions, etc. all nearby. We loved drinking our morning coffee on the floating pier while watching the early morning mist (and chevrons of geese) rising from the river. We loved kayaking and swimming throughout the day from steps away from our apartment door. We loved being greeted by BIRDS BIRDS BIRDS in the nearby trees and feeders every time we stepped outside. And we absolutely loved sitting by the beautiful outdoor chiminea fire at night! We will be back. Thank you Helen, Peter, Sophie, and Moose!

I have stayed at this property before and it is always a great experience. Katie is a wonderful, responsive, host. The welcome basket and handwritten note are thoughtful details. I very much look forward to my next opportunity to stay in Katie’s house again.

We enjoyed everything about our stay here! Beautifully decorated. Lots of great and thoughtful amenities. The large gardens and grounds are so pretty and our dogs enjoyed exploring everywhere. Great location with easy walking to all the restaurants and shops but still private and secluded. Everyone was friendly and welcoming. I would definitely stay here again and recommend to anyone.

Enjoyed our stay and appreciated all of the details like creamer in the refrigerator this morning. Tastefully appointed and very comfortable - exactly as pictured. We were in the area for a wedding and Diane was flexible and communicated throughout the reservation/stay. We would love to go back and stay longer.
