Grassy Creek Cabooses are a great place for a peaceful getaway. We enjoyed getting away from our schedules and responsibilities to just enjoy life in the mountains. Our daughter and fur-babies loved it, as well!

We wanted to do something unique & different for our anniversary & this did NOT disappoint. From the “main” road you can see the 3 red cabooses up on the hill & our hearts smiled. They recently had storms & we could see where the flood waters deteriorated the sides of the driveway but it was still wide enough for us to pass another small vehicle if needed. Office Check in was a breeze and took less than five mins before we were standing in our getaway train(caboose) which is on a real track! We were the only ones staying this weekend but if others were present, there was plenty of room. Our furbabies throughly enjoyed having a large field in front of the cabooses to run in. The views from the swings were breathtaking especially during the sunsets. Once Inside, we enjoyed the comforts of home (except for a stove). The hotness of the water & the relaxing hot tub added to our experience. Some things were dated but that is to come with the territory. We hope to visit again in the fall.

Giulia has a very nice apartment that was clean with plenty of room. Although close to town, there is a remote feel as the house is surrounded by woods - a definite plus for me.

We love Shirleyann's!!! She was proactive & sent me a message about the upcoming weather. Nonetheless, we had a great time despite there still being some snow. We were warm, bed was comfy, and the house had everything we needed. We loved the privacy and being able to hear the river. Tucked away but close enough to town to go explore & shop! Loved all of Shirleyann's things, how cute and cozy things were, and had a great time relaxing in the hot tub! She even left us some local goodies in the kitchen! Wish we could have stayed longer &/ taken advantage of further services! (Was at Tech for conference) Thanks for everything!!! Hope to return!! :) -Bekah & Katie

Ashera and Luke were about the best hosts and now friends you could ask for. Their beautiful, well built rustic cabin was cozy with all the amenities we needed. The property is breathtaking, with a space for every need or want. We stayed for a respite from home in WNC and overwhelming emotions and energy from Helene, and our hosts were more supportive than we ever could have asked for. We will definitely be making this a regular getaway and sanctuary. Absolutely loved the stay and our hosts.

Beautiful location, place as described. Jacuzzi was great. Lots of hot water. Good water pressure, good shower. Bed was comfortable. Donnie was helpful and responsive.

I didn't have any problems with my stay and there were no problems with anything. He was very polite and communicative. We weren't rushed out when it was checked out or anything. I would definitely stay here again

We very much enjoyed our week at Patricia's home. Such a lovely, homey setting with all the amenities we needed for our stay. Dog especially loved the pasture to run around in and walking along the creek and nearby road. Very clean and comfortable and just a short drive to city. Very happy with our choice to stay there!

This was the second time we have stayed here. Perfect location and great amenities for cooking for a family. Very comfortable! Aaron is super responsive to communication and even helped me with an item I left behind - which is rare with Air BnB owners lately. Thank you so much!

We had a great weekend in Blacksburg. My son had lacrosse games all weekend and the location to VT was perfect. We were able to walk downtown to eat which was very convenient. The beds were comfortable and we felt right at home. Highly recommend and would choose again in the future.

The wandering goat lodge is a great place to stay. Very cozy place! It’s an excellent place to stay to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city and of course seeing adorable goats (and donkeys!)

We really enjoyed our stay at this beautiful mountain house. The views are amazing, and Berit did a great job giving very clear instructions on how to navigate the mountain on the way up. She made sure ahead of time that we had vehicles suitable for the drive which was very appreciated. She checked in with us throughout the weekend just to make sure there was nothing we needed. The kitchen was fully stocked, plenty of towels/blankets available, and overall was just a wonderful stay. There is a winery, Chateau Morrisette, which was only about 15 minutes away that was really fun to visit, and Floyd is a very cute, friendly town. I would definitely stay here again. Thanks again for everything Berit!

Hokie house was everything we needed!

The absolutely perfect place to stay for move in to Pritchard! Y-toss was right across the street and the dorm was an easy 5 min walk. Also short walk to downtown for dinner. Had so much fun playing corn hole in the backyard, they even had a portable speaker for use!

Husband, dogs and I were heading through the area. Spontaneous decision to stay. Booked and arrived within an hour. Pan had a fire going in the woodstove. Plenty of extra wood. Cabin is rustic with tons of visual interest. Very creative use of industrial, vintage, eclectic pieces. Bold creek could be heard in the cabin. Beautiful, peaceful, perfect location for some down time. We will definitely return!!

Second stay at Ruth’s to visit our daughter at VTech. You can’t beat the location and ease of check in/out and space. Ruth is always quick to respond and check on needs. She also leaves bottled water, supplies, treats and abundance of linens. Will stay again!

My family and I absolutely loved Rachel’s place! It was so beautifully decorated and so cozy and comfortable. The beds were super comfortable and the linens were so fresh and soft! Every detail was so well thought out. She was also great at communicating and super flexible with check in and check out times! If we come back to that area we will absolutely look into staying at Rachel’s place again! Highly recommend!

The Gardener’s cabin was a perfect place to stay for a couple of days! It was SO cute, and incredibly clean. Safety is always a big factor for me, and I felt completely safe as a solo female traveler parking and staying at the cabin. I would absolutely stay here again.

Great stay. Close to Virginia Tech stadium like described.
