This place was absolutely perfect. Lovely location in a quiet village less than 10 minutes to Durham. It was clean, spacious, and Tom made sure we had everything available, even adding a nice touch of Prosecco and milk. Check in was easy and Tom was quick with communication. Would definitely recommend and we would certainly come back. Thanks Tom!

Comfy and homely cottage and very well equipped. Carol was very friendly and knowledgeable and met us with home baked cakes which were delicious. We had a lovely time and felt very much at home. Can also recommend the Community Tea Room right opposite the cottage and the Badger Hounds pub just down the road. Highly recommended cottage and host.

We had a great time here in Whitby. The house is huge and well equipped and we had plenty of space for our group of 12. We appreciated being able to explore by foot as the house is within walking distance of the station, the town and the beach. Would love to return and stay a bit longer!

I recently visited Whitby for the first time and absolutely loved it! Staying at Hillside View made the experience even better. The place was beautiful and impeccably clean, which made us feel right at home. The decor was charming and the views were simply stunning. Hillside View truly added a special touch to our trip, and I can’t recommend it highly enough. We will definitely be returning.

WOW - what a beautiful home!!! An absolute gem * For context - it was myself, my partner, two boys (4 and 2 years old) & our cavapoo. There was ample space for us all regarding bedrooms, bathrooms and lounge space. The home was tastefully decorated in keeping with the local beach aswell as spotlessly clean. NOTHING was too much for our hosts who were simply magnificent given the fact this is a relatively new venture for them. You would think this operation has been running for years based on the quality and efficiency of everything from booking and recommendations. The beach is quite literally a stones throw away and we made a beeline for this every morning after breakfast. Great start to the day! We had a 60 minute drive to Whitby with the family which was thoroughly enjoyable for some stunning Fish & Chips and crabbing for the boys to partake in. Some spectacular views driving down the coast past Redcarr and Saltburn. We would definitely come back again! BOOK BOOK BOOK IT!

We had a great stay, in a clean, spacious, up to date caravan, was very quiet, as the caravan site isn't open till the middle of March. That was not a problem we made our own entertainment with the cards and games provided, I would stay there again and would recommend it to my family and friends. we have used Air BnB several times and have never had a bad encounter, Lisa kept me updated and was prompt in replying to messages I sent. Thank you from my family and myself.

Lovely caravan - easy check-in with lockbox, and parking space next to caravan. Lots of extra thoughtful touches inside that made it feel very home-from-home (board games, DVDs, even a jar of biscuits!), extra blankets, lovingly decorated, and the essentials were there too so we could get comfortable straight away (I’ve stayed in some places where there wasn’t even one toilet roll, hand soap, or washing up liquid!) The location was nice, The view out of the lounge window of the sea was lovely, and it’s a short walk to the beach. The site shop etc obviously wasn’t open as it’s out of season, but local shops are a short drive away. Two toilets is a lifesaver with children. The two doors into the main bathroom from the hall and the master bedroom gave us a giggle as I thought it was a cupboard - remember to lock both doors if using the main toilet haha! But space-wise, it is a clever idea. Midday checkout was really useful too, less rush! Would definitely stay again, thanks for having us!

It was perfect just what we needed

Caravan was immaculate and very homely loved the added touches. The Seaview was a bonus as the children loved it. Our family enjoyed our Christmas in the caravan was a lovely experience. Would definately recommend to others. Great host 5*.

We stayed at the Lodge for 4 weeks due to a delayed house completion. The location is amazing in every respect. The lodge is more spacious than the pictures suggest - walk in wardrobes amazing for our extended stay. Well equipped, very efficient heating and hot water Long local beach walks with the cafe (great ice cream), literally 15m away. We did not use the entertainment complex but it always looked busy Thoroughly recommended

Fabulous old farm buildings set inBeautiful picturesque setting, looking out on the Moores and farmland. There were cows when we looked out of the window and chickens clucking around the yard. But really private as well. There are walks from the cottage across the farmland, when the weather is nice and the log burner stove making it really warm and cosy in the evening when it feels a bit chilly. The cottage had everything that you need for your stay, and was immaculate. The main bedroom has a traditional bed frame, which we thought may be a bit creaky, we needn’t have worried- the bed was very sturdy, comfortable and didn’t squeak at all. Really handy having a sink in the bedroom too. Loved all the farm implements that were around. Loved the oil lamps converted to electricity. Would love to know more about the farm’s history. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

If there was a six star rating then I would definitely pick that! Julian’s house is superb, we stayed for 4 nights after the new year as a family and have had the best time. The house is just beautiful in a gorgeous location and very spacious. There were 9 of us and 3 dogs all together and we had more than enough room. I would wholeheartedly recommend Foxhall farm along with Julian and Jolene who are great and very helpful. Thank you for fab holiday 🥰

Both a home from home and yet a total escape from normal life, The Stowaway has everything you need and is a cosy, inviting bolthole. Just minutes from Runswick Bay beach it was easy to find and ideally located. Kit was a wonderful friendly host and we were charmed by the little touches she left from homemade biscuits to fizz in the fridge. One of our favourite things about the Stowaway was waking up each morning to hear so much birdsong and watching out the window at all the array of bird life in the garden and surrounding fields. I loved staying here! Perfect bolt hole for the solo traveller, close to pubs, shop and fish n chips. Cleveland Way and Runswick Bay very walkable. Nice and private, well equipped for a short stay. Ray was very helpful about the area. Highly recommended!

Beautiful home with everything you need and spotless. Instructions from John were very clear and he was extremely helpful when we were booking, especially the restaurant recommendations which we followed and we were not disappointed (Cookfellas restaurant and Brickyard Bakery). Great stay wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.

Always nice to stay here. With family in the area, an ideal quiet place. Not far from the town and beach - all walkable.

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Whitby and Cinder Croft is such a beautiful home to come back to after a day's walking. Hot showers, comfortable beds and pristine linen and fluffy towels. The kitchen is huge and I loved the cooking island although we are out most of the time. The hosts were very friendly and the communication was excellent. We would love to come back. Thank you.

This is a quaint little place perfect for 2 with all you would need for a very comfortable stay. It is in an ideal spot in Stokesley with parking and all the restaurants/bars/shops etc on your doorstep. So central but the cottage is so quite on a night! I would definatly reccommend and hope to stay again!

A lovely stay at Max’s Hideaway. The apartment was spotlessly clean and the welcoming pack, with biscuits and wine included, was a special touch. The apartment is conveniently situated for the centre of Whitby and West Cliff. We parked our car in the allocated parking space and there it remained for the whole holiday. The host let us know we could park early and informed us when we could get into the apartment, which was much earlier than expected and much appreciated. We would certainly recommend to others. This was a last minute booking to visit a sick family member. Kendra went above and beyond to help and made us feel welcome. The house is beautifully decorated and stylishly furnished. It is convenient for the town centre with lots of great restaurants and bars. There are nice parks nearby for walks with dogs or children. The little touches make such a difference too, such as essential breakfast items and cakes for a treat as well as a lovely selection of teas and coffee. I would highly recommend this house and Kendra is a superb host.
