Is it fancy? No. But it is reasonably priced, in a convenient location, has a great hot tub, and a wonderful host.

Patricia was so kind and helpful, gave lots of details on the house and things to do in Crescent City. The house is within walking distance of the beach, the park and the brewery. The house was very comfortable and we felt right at home, we cooked a lot at the house and the kitchen had everything we needed. We would stay again!

My 2 best friends and I love visiting the North Coast every year for a relaxing getaway. We think we have found our dream home for that trip from now on. The house was just as pictured and Pauline was a lovely, thoughtful host. She was very informative and helpful leading up to the trip and then following our orientation, left us to enjoy her beautiful cottage. The house is 3 minutes from the grocery store in Fortuna so very accessible but nestled up in the redwoods making you feel like you are out in the middle of nowhere. We each had our own room and were very comfortable. Thank you again for sharing your unique cottage with us!

Linda’s place is very charming, it felt very cozy. The place had everything we needed our dog loved the private yard to wander around. Location was great close to the beach and The trees of mystery. Thank you Linda! for being super responsive and proactive as a host.

Loved that it was tucked back and beautiful area. Easy to find, and perfect for our weekend trip. Would stay again if in the area!

Jennifer was a wonderful, helpful and extremely responsive host. We had to reach out a few times with local guide questions and she was great! Super cute and cozy space, we LOVED the fireplace for some of the rainy evenings. A 1/2 block from the beach and short drive to Seaquake Brewing. Highly recommend the space.

Wow what a perfect gem right in downtown Fortuna. This location is perfect, close to coffee and shopping and walking distance to a playground and hiking trail. My kids appreciated the toys and we loved the puzzles and well stocked kitchen. Easy access to a washer and dryer, a fenced in backyard with a view of mature trees through the windows. We felt this was a beautiful quaint haven. Save money by grocery shopping and cooking meals at home, the kitchen had everything we needed. Highly recommend Sally and her cottage rental.

This is located in a quaint small town called Trinidad. Close to Redwood National and State Parks. It's also close to the Trinidad State Beach where we did a hike on the Trinidad Head with great ocean views. The kitchen was well stocked with all kinds of condiments and a variety of coffee to choose from. Overall a great experience and we enjoyed the stay very much. Would recommend it to anyone visiting Redwood National and State Parks and the Eureka area.

A fantastic place to relax with the kids and our dog! This was our second stay at Kathryn's, and it definitely won't be our last. The small backyard was perfect for our dog to explore, and the neighborhood was so peaceful. Our kids absolutely loved the bunk beds, and I have to say, the tea selection was the best I've ever come across—hah! Thanks for such a cozy and enjoyable stay! 😊

Had a great stay with the family! Only 20 minute drive to the trees of mystery and 5 minute walk to the beach. Clean, cozy, and was able to accommodate for my family of 5 and beagle bodhi. Would recommend!

Wendy's farm was beyond our expectations. We got in really late so didn't see the surroundings until the next morning and wow, we were in for a treat! The animals are so friendly, and Red Lily Vineyard is a short, five minute walk (convenient for those who tend to overindulge). The cottage was very cozy and we had everything we needed. The chickens provided fresh eggs for us to enjoy, who would have known that my new best friend is a chicken called Ms. Pearl ;) Really hope to come visit again in the near future~!

Loved our stay at Ashley's adorable cottage! Felt right at home, everything was very clean, loved the wood floors and the retro themed microwave/toaster/waste bin. The deck was a very nice place to sit and relax. Bed was super comfy. Kitchen was well stocked. So many thoughtful touches, bathroom amenities, laundry detergent, etc. We would definitely stay again!

The Forest Oasis was a great place to stay in Arcata: close enough to town for easy access to shops, restaurants, etc, but far enough from downtown that it was quiet and secluded - plus, amazing star gazing! The place was very clean, tastefully decorated, with ample outdoor space. Would definitely recommend.

Beautiful view comfortable cozy home you feel like you’re living above the clouds. Spotlessly clean with a fullly functional kitchen and a full sized refrigerator. It really is a home away from home.

What a beautiful little home with all the thoughtful touches that really show the host cares. We had farm fresh eggs in the fridge, all the kitchen basics needed to cook, some snacks and nice teas to enjoy! And the location was super convenient to get to restaurants, wineries and anywhere else in the valley that we needed to go. Would definitely recommend staying!

We enjoyed our time here. It is very rural, quiet and peaceful. Laytonville is a small town so the grocery store is very basic. It is only about 10 minutes away and open until 11. We were traveling with small children and arrived later in the day. The kids were hot and hungry and we had not had a chance to get food. The woman handling check in had a plate of fruit and was incredibly gracious to share to help keep them going until we could run in and grab groceries. She also called ahead to confirm how late they would be open. (4th of July) The walk to the private lake is not difficult and there are multiple kayaks you can use. In addition, it was during an incredible heatwave and there were regular check-ins to make sure all was well and everyone had water. There is no air conditioning but there are many fans that helped it cool off at night. Any issues or concerns were dealt with timely and appropriately. The service was truly above and beyond.

My stay in the Cattail Cottage has been amazing. The Cottage is pretty much brand new and built with love. The hosts John and Elizabeth are very friendly and accommodating.

The place was amazing, definitely worth the price you pay, especially with the private hot tub all to yourself. An open window let in the sounds of the ocean also. Will definitely be staying there again.
