Our family loved staying here! The kids thoroughly enjoyed the pool and exploring the grounds finding lizards, snails and birds. The house was clean and spacious and the a/c and fans were appreciated! We hiked to Shipman beach from the house and it was well worth it - saw lots of huge turtles and enjoyed a quick swim before heading back. Highly recommend staying here!

We chose this property because of the close proximity to the ocean. There is no beach but you can definitely hear the waves crashing and it was very tropical. Besides the house next door, it is very private. Plenty of kitchen appliances, plateware, and silverware. The neighbors were friendly, including their dog. Overall, we had a great stay would definitely recommend this house if you are looking for peaceful, quiet time on the island.

This is a lovely quiet location close to Hilo and Volcano NP. We loved having the pool and the amenities of a well thought out home.

Beautiful home and wonderful host. We had everything we needed or could ask for. Mari was a perfect host answering any questions, providing many local recommendations and even met us at checkin to show us her home. The view was magnificent, opening the doors in the morning and sipping on coffee on the deck watching the sun rise was my daily ritual. It was a nice surprise to have chairs and snorkeling equipment available to us. Grocery and Walmart minutes away for quick pickup items. The must see sights were just 10-20 minutes away. We visited the caves, snorkeling in the bay, national park and the gardens.

Lovely little cottage in the rainforest! Jacklynn was always around if anything was needed, and always gave suggestions for local adventures. Highly recommend!

We had such a wonderful stay at the house in Keaau and Michelle and Joe were amazing hosts. The house was spacious, clean, and comfortable with a beautiful outdoor porch and incredible lush grounds. We absolutely loved staying at the house it was hard to leave. Michelle and Joe are incredible hosts. They opened fresh coconuts for us, gave local recommendations to beautiful beaches and other things to do on the island. Every day was like coming home with adorable geckos outside and the beautiful sounds of the frogs at night. My only wish is that we stayed even longer! Thank you so much Michelle and Joe! Mahalo!

Very beautiful home and lots of room for many people to stay. Host is very responsive with any questions/concerns. Very clean as well with lots of things you may need such as beach towels, cooler, water toys etc. Location is very private as well if that's what you're looking for. Just fyi it is ocean front but you cannot get to the ocean from location in case you are looking for that. You can see whales if you look closely which was very cool! Overall great stay for our first time using Airbnb!

The Airbnb was a great place to relax and get some peace and quiet for our vacation. It was conveniently located within walking distance of the local farmers’ markets and a short drive from many great restaurants. I appreciate the host’s clear instructions and images to ensure a smooth check in, check out, and stay. I would definitely stay here again if I get the chance!

Wonderful place for our several days there. Fantastic view and very spacious. Several restaurants were in town. Waimea had few tourists but still was close to several small out-of-the-way towns we otherwise would not have thought of to visit.

This property was heaven on earth, the grounds are more beautiful than most botanical gardens we’ve visited. We wished we had booked more nights, every person in our group loved the stay.

We came to Big Island to enjoy calm and recharge. Eliot's place offers just like that as his house is spacious and plenty of space between properties with peaceful surroundings. because the home sits in a large ground in suburb of Hilo. Downtown Pahoa is close so you can dine out and get shopping done easily if you want. Eliot is kind and smart owner to take care of home and our needs. He was always responsive and come back with a solution for our questions.

It’s always nice when the house and host meets or exceeds your expectations. The whole family thoroughly enjoyed our stay as well as the adventures and amenities. The sports gear and picnic items were a very welcome add on. Literally a 5 minute walk to the shoreline

Beautiful place, looked just like the pictures! Peaceful and quiet, all the furnishings were beautiful and comfortable. They provided nice touches throughout to make you feel at home.

This place was totally awesome! It was so beautiful and peaceful! We slept so well! The house was well stocked with everything you would need for a comfortable stay. Denise and Brian are the best hosts, making sure we had everything we need. Itineraries were provided so we were never bored. We will definitely be back for a stay in the beautiful rainforest on the Big Island! 🏝️

Great fit for our laid back group, a serene slice of heaven in Puna Palisades neighborhood. Karan communicated routinely with helpful information for outside visitors. Renters should be aware that check in process is different than AirBnB messages -- there is no code emailed, rather check in direct with owners. All good :-)

My family loved staying at this place. Waking up every morning to go sit in the sunshine with total privacy, birds singing, it was awesome. The house itself is cozy and welcoming. Kitchen setup is nice, we cooked almost every meal at home. The Thai place up the street (Thai Thai) is good and you aren’t too far from local grocery stores. We would definitely come back.

We just had the best family trip to Hawaii, and it was because of this magical place! The property is beautiful- on a gorgeous orchid, super private, and with a nice little path to walk and explore. The house is huge. We had 12 people (3 families), and it was very comfortable. Everyone had plenty of space, and most of the bedrooms even have 2 beds, which was really convenient. One of the best parts was that every bedroom had its own bathroom, so there was no waiting around for showers or getting ready. The kitchen was amazing—commercial appliances and even a griddle! There’s also plenty of space to hang out, both inside and outside, which was perfect for our group. Also, the rooms are pretty soundproof. We had a baby with us, and no one heard her crying at night. Overall I HIGHLY recommend staying here if you want a relaxing stay with lots of space for a large group. Moon was so nice and responsive and even brought us extra towels during our stay.

Our family enjoyed our stay. It was like sleeping in a treehouse! Ocean views, beautiful sunrises, frogs singing at night, and so many stars. We had everything we needed and the hosts were very helpful with local tips. It was a magical stay!

Great place to stay for large families exploring Volcano National Park and surrounding area! Well stocked kitchen, beach supplies, and pack n plays for babies.

We had a rest and wonderful time at Vaughn’s spacious place. Bedrooms, bathrooms very comfortable, new updated. Plenty of kitchen equipment, pots pans and utensils. Fridge and pantry had spices to use. We loved the fruit trees in the backyard, watched the birds and the view of Mauna Kea in the distance. Enjoyed the beaches, swimming, went stargazing, Akaka Falls, volcano national park and so much more. When back on the island would stay at Vaughn’s again. Thank you so much.

We spend 3 peaceful days at Crystal's house. I loved it. The house was everything we needed. The issue was the water being extremely hot or extremely cold. Every time that the water becomes too hot we had to open the cold valve, and close it after 5secs so don't get too cold. But besides that everything was great. Every morning I could hear the birds and the rain.
