This cosy apartment in Koolunga House was the perfect home-from-home for 5-weeks during a local work placement. The location was ideal, far enough away from the business of Great Yarmouth, but close to local shops, food spots and a walk along the river to Gorleston's lovely sandy beach and cliffs - great for coffee and dog spotting! The house has endless character and the balcony was a dreamy escape - both during the day overlooking the lush garden and dragonflies, and in the evenings for spotting stars and fireworks in the distance. The owners and house manager were a message away and really helpful. I would absolutely stay at Koolunga House again if I’m ever back in the area.✨

We had a wonderful stay. The apartment is so near the pier and heart of Southwold, it was the perfect location. The apartment was really cosy to unwind after lots of walking, shopping, eating. We did a river boat trip with costal voyager which we would highly recommend doing as well. A lot of other comments mention noise upstairs, however we did not think this was the case at all. The space was lovely for our trip away. Laura was very friendly and accommodating and was brilliant at messaging throughout the trip.

Lovely, peaceful and spacious flat with vintage touches, in a very central location close to restaurants, shops, the seafront and the many walks and places to visit around Aldeburgh. Great for couples or families. Managing Agents very responsive to any requests. Would highly recommend!

A very enjoyable stay . It was great to be able to park up and leave the cars at the accommodation and walk into the town or the beach . Great accommodation that easily catered for 6 adults and our dog Reg. Spotlessly clean and very very comfortable.

We had a lovely weekend in a stunning house with very hospitable hosts. The welcome basket on arrival was an unexpected treat and very much appreciated. The house itself is spacious and modern with 3 big double bedrooms. The living area is very comfortable to relax in with a large screen TV, a range of games to play and a bookcase of great reads on a variety of subjects. The kitchen and dining area is again a pleasant and spacious area and very well done. On the edge of Winterton on Sea it is a great location and a short drive from Hemsby or Great Yarmouth. The local pub, the Fisherman’s Return, is friendly and welcoming with fantastic food. Overall a great stay and I’m sure we’ll be back again.

We had the most fantastic stay at John's place for New Year. The house couldn't have been better. There were 7 of us plus the dogs and there was so much space and everything we could have needed. Three of the bedrooms are upstairs (all ensuite) and one downstairs with a lovely bathroom which worked perfectly for our family set up. There is also a nice separate lounge area upstairs (perfect for star gazing). The house is even better than the photos suggest and the view incredible - we felt very spoilt. We cooked a few times and the kitchen had everything needed. The boot room / utility was perfect for boots / coats and all our stuff - plus for drying after we ventured in to the sea! John was a great host - really responsive and flexible and we felt very welcome. We will definitely be back and I would highly recommend!

Penny is a fabulous host-always responsive to any queries. The house was pristine and so welcoming -exactly like the photos. Lovely touches like fresh milk in the fridge, yummy biscuits, pretty daffodils on the table. The little extras like tea and coffee, basic provisions like oil, vinegar, salt, pepper and a few others. Enough bin bags and cleaning products so I needn’t have brought any with me. Comfy linens, huge towels, fire wood in case we wanted to light a fire, loads of books, toys for children and local information guides and books. I would gladly stay here again as we felt right at home. Thank you so much Penny!

We were four middle-aged ladies wishing to relax and recharge our batteries away from the business of everyday life. This cottage gave us exactly what we needed. It was very comfortable and clean. The cottage was very well stocked and provided everything you could need. A local shop, fish and chip shop and pub were all within a 5-minute walk. We took a long walk along the coastal footpath and beach to see the seals at Horsey and stopped off for a refreshment at the local pub in Horsey before returning to the comfortable cottage to relax. Thank you so much, Orla, for providing such a lovely cottage for us to use. It was exactly all we had hoped for and more. We would not hesitate to use the cottage again if ever visiting the area. Our only tiny issue is that within the welcome book, they explained using a Bose sound system within the kitchen to which we could link our phones. We could not find this!! Thanks again from a very happy group of ladies xx

Lovely, very comfortable, quiet house. Easy to park outside. Good shop on the corner. Southwold high street is a short walk away.

Noor was very helpful. Place was clean and tidy. Comfy beds and clean carpet. He received us himself and helped us in parking. Right opposite to the river. There is an old ship opposite to the road with free entry. Just a mile away from the beach. Overall very happy

Me and my wife stayed here for New Year’s Eve. We wanted. Change from the house party vibe, and stumbled across this lovely place. Annetta is a lovely host, very friendly and was happy to help if needed. We enjoyed the location, such a wonderful house surrounded by countryside. The jacuzzi was amazing! We looked at the stars while sipping champagne from our wedding a few months back. What more do you want! Would definitely recommend! Thanks for the hospitality Annetta! All the best Luke & Addie x

This is the second time we have stayed at Sea Mist and wouldn’t hesitate to book again. It truly is a home from home. Elaine is such a welcoming host who cannot do enough for you! This was our first time using air bnb and it did not disappoint! Jane met us on arrival despite us arriving late evening. She ran through mandatory fire and safety instructions and showed us round the property. Everything was spotless and perfectly clean. Everything felt so new and fresh, from the bedding and towels to cutlery and glasses. We could walk to the seafront within a couple of minutes but were nicely tucked away from the main part itself. The keypads to enter the property is such a good idea as you don’t have to worry about losing any keys! We couldn’t fault this property or Jane at all. It was amazing and we will definitely be returning to Jays Bay when we wish to visit Great Yarmouth in the future.

Used as a base for working in the area. Exactly what we needed - clean, spacious and comfortable. This was our second stay and we'll be back again next time we're in the area.

A fantastic apartment right in the heart of town. We booked very last minute (on the day!) after deciding to make the most of a sunny day trip and was lucky to find availability for Kay’s place at the start of the Easter school holidays. Price was reasonable for a last minute booking in peak season. It was lovely and would make a great base for a longer stay. Beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean, comfy bed and powerful hot shower. We didn’t use the kitchen but there was tea and coffee and useful condiments (salt, pepper, ketchup) in the cupboard, which would have been good for longer stays. Check in and out was easy. Would definitely recommend.

Absolute gem of a spot if you want to be close to all the fun at Great Yarmouth, at a great and affordable price too! Lack of parking was easily managed (finding a local car park). Spacious place, even with 4 of us! Clean and tidy! Hosts are lovely and very helpful! Even booked an extra night! Will be back! Thank you! :)

Fantastic place. Great location, beautiful views, lots of thoughtful touches. I’ve now stayed in a few AirBnBs in Southwold and this was by far the best.
