Rikke war eine freundliche und umsorgende Gastgeberin. Die Unterkunft war perfekt und liebevoll eingerichtet. Wir konnten alles nutzen und hatten gleich das Gefühl willkommen und zu Hause zu sein. Alles ist sehr praktisch eingerichtet und man merkt, dass das Haus auch privat genutzt wird. Die Gegend eignet sich prima für Ausflüge und Wanderungen. Sonnenaufgänge und jede Nacht traumhafte Polarlichter, haben uns den Einstieg in den Island-Urlaub erleichtert. Perfekt, danke!

We felt like we walked into a clean and lovely home. Very well stocked and beautifully located with the view of a glacier from the sunroom! We saw the aurora borealis right off the back step, and enjoyed our stay. Lots of room in the house but (we didn’t know ahead of time) the bathroom is on the main floor with the 1st floor bedroom. Bedrooms upstairs (set up for an adult room and kids room with 3 beds) is up a very steep staircase. This didn’t bother us, but our adult son, who stayed upstairs, mentioned it would be difficult taking kids to the bathroom during the night. Just a little something to add to the listing. Kind and communicative host, and we would definitely recommend it!

Die Unterkunft auf dem Hof Storikambur hat uns sehr gefallen, ist ohne Mietwagen aber nur sehr schwer zu erreichen, da es absolut ländlich liegt. In der Unterkunft fehlte es uns an Nichts. Der Host hat bei Fragen schnell geantwortet und in der Unterkunft lag eine Mappe mit hilfreichen Hinweisen und Ausflugstipps bereit. Es gibt auf der Farm viele Islandpferde und die Möglichkeit vergünstigt einen Ausritt zu machen. Lediglich das kleine Waschbecken im Badezimmer mit dem direkt darüberhängenden Spiegelschrank hätte besser gelöst werden können.

This cabin was exactly what we were hoping for on our trip away. The views are incredible, it feels like you aren’t hiding away from the wilderness at the end of the day. The bed was comfy, the radiators kept us more than warm, and the amenities were great. A fantastic base to go and explore west Iceland from!

Enjoyable and very good experience

Very comfortable, accessible, and family-oriented. Loved being surrounded by books and music. It was like visiting with old friends.

This has to be one of my most favorite AirBnB rentals! The location was unbelievable - looking out at Kirkufell, the most photographed mountain in Iceland - and with an amazing view to the north for Aurora viewing. The house was perfect for our group of eight (four couples), with a bedroom for each and a bathroom on each level. The kitchen is filled with all you need, and the living area features picture windows and cozy couches, with lots of throw blankets, sheepskins, and pillows available. The outdoor area is unbelievable with a hot tub and sauna facing north, and lots of areas for walking in the hills or on the beach during low tide. While the rental was a little more expensive than we usually pay, we felt it was definitely worth the splurge, and couldn't believe that we had been lucky enough to find it.

Der Aufenthalt bei Olga war wirklich super! Die Gastgeberin war sehr nett und hat uns sehr herzlich empfangen. Die Unterkunft ist sehr geräumig und mit allem Nötigen ausgestattet. Absolute Empfehlung!
