River Avon : séjours à la ferme

I had a beautiful time at the Stables! It’s a getaway from the world at a working farm. I love animals, so I asked to meet some of them, and Yvonne took me to see (and pet!) the milking cows, and explained the entire process to me! The house had traditional charm but was has been updated everywhere that it counts. They have lists of local recommendations but I was happy to get groceries and use the excellent kitchen at the property. I did not have a car and was warned about difficulty getting around but as I was only interested in nature and peace and quiet, getting to and from on public transport was easy enough. Finally, Yvonne was always prompt responding to me and was very friendly and welcoming! I’d love to come back!

Amanda and Phil are such lovely hosts. The Old Milk Parlour is lovely and cosy and looks just like the photos it’s like a home away from home. Everything felt lovely and clean and there is a lot about the history of building and that makes it special as well. There is so much to do in the local area, loads of lovely walks, Kilver Court is close as are lots of other RHS spots. They have kindly compiled a list of things too if you’re ever stuck. Everything was truly amazing. As others have said you do share the car park with another house across but it’s still nice and quiet despite that. Also I forgot something and they kindly mailed it back to me which was the sweetest thing 🥺 Would definitely stay again!

A second very comfortable stay, thank you! This is a beautiful, well equipped, spotlessly clean and comfy property. The hot tub is brilliant, with lovely views over the fields behind. We also appreciated all the thought that has gone into making guests comfortable, from the fresh milk and local cheese in the fridge, to the home made cake, to the stove made up ready to light, and not to forget the extremely comfy beds. Communication was always prompt, friendly and helpful - we were very grateful for the flexibility around check in and check out times. We will hope to come back!

We had a lovely stay at Talia's place. the cottage had everything we needed including lovely views and it felt very homely. Glastonbury town is a nice walkable distance and Talia was very helpful and responsive. The enclosed garden was perfect for letting the dog have a little run around.

Lovely couple of days stay, barn was nice and clean on arrival couldn’t get over how fantastic the views are. Lots of walks in nearby area. Great accommodation to take kids and dogs as lovely big garden. Can recommend The Royal Oak pub for food in Tetbury and Lower Woods to explore with kids/dogs. Would definitely come back and stay again but for longer next time :) Thankyou.

Our stay was everything we expected and the comfortable little Snug was surprisingly spacious and well equipped. It is lovely to have both the privacy of a separate entry and garden, but also the feel of staying in a friendly and family focused farm environment which is set in stunning landscape. The wood burner was a treat although the Snug was very warm. Lots of maps left to aid walking and ideas for getting out and about. It was lovely to be there to see the spring burst into life around the glorious hillsides. The local nature reserve is just magical. We saw wild daffodils young Ransoms, emerging Bluebells, orchids just bursting into leaf, birds being very busy and trees starting to open their leaf buds. Mushrooms too. Ellie who hosted our visit was welcoming, helpful and nice to chat to. We will keep this on our return soon list.

Set in beautiful peaceful surroundings with plenty of space for our dog to run around. Bed was huge and soo comfortable. Waterfall shower was gorgeous and heated floor was an added bonus in hallway and bathroom. Pub within walking distance which served hot food of a good standard. Charles was a lovely host who really made you feel welcome and his knowledge of the area was outstanding. Real peaceful weekend away. Would definitely recommend and come again if we were in the area. Good for exploring Cotswolds.

We had a really lovely stay at Marion's barn conversion. It has a well equipped kitchen, nice bathroom, comfortable sofas - very nice set up, would definitely recommend. We really enjoyed playing tennis on the tennis court. Only disappointment was not being allowed to use the fireplace which hadn't been clear when booking.

A really nice place, with a great host!

Nicky and Mark’s place is beyond perfection! Waking up to a picturesque farm with lots of sheep was unexpectedly calming! My husband and I could gaze at the view all day long. Everything exceeds our expectations. We could really feel how much care and effort they put into designing this Airbnb, aesthetically and practically. All the home decorations go so well with the wooden fixtures and neutral colors. The amount of windows and lights make the house very well-lit. The kitchen is stocked with seasonings and tools for guests to cook with no fuss. Complimentary milk and flowers were offered too. A great selection of books and games were supplied. I particularly love how they support their community by promoting local businesses and attractions in their house guide and curating tons of reading materials about the surroundings and Wiltshire. This is hands down the best Airbnbs I’ve stayed in. This barn house honestly is the best place to rewind and recharge. Will definitely come back!

Great stay, the place was really clean and looked exactly like the pictures. The area was beautiful and had lots of lovely pubs and walks. A short walk to the train station too. Would definitely stay again.

We had a lovely relaxing 3 night break at The Stables , such a beautiful peaceful location, the accommodation was so lovely and cozy especially loved the log burner , super easy to use! Trish left us lots of extras which was really appreciated especially eggs and biscuits and fruit and flowers so very kind. The bed was big and super comfortable We loved feeding the alpacas that was a really lovely experience ( first time for myself ever hand feeding a large animal) they were so gentle, We had every thing we needed our hosts had put in a lot of thought! Thank you for a wonderful break , apologies we didn’t get to meet you in person. So loved how the chickens came running to greet us. We will definitely return sometime ❤️

Was perfect for a Valentines getaway! We are so grateful to Sam and Adrian for extending their hospitality, they truly went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and to make sure we had plenty of information about the surrounding area! We have to give our thanks also to William who provided lots of snacks and drinks through his tuck shop :) The barn itself was cosy yet spacious, the bed was super comfortable and water pressure in the shower was decent. The kitchen was fully-equipped for us to make a beef wellington on Valentines night!! Even the temperatures were near freezing - that didn’t stop us from taking full advantage of the fire place out on the patio! Overall we had a wonderful stay and would love to come and stay again! Thank you again Sam, Adrian and William!

We had such a lovely stay at Catherine's. Its a beautiful and cleverly converted, cosy little barn that was really pleasant to stay in. The location is very private and we really felt like we had the space to ourselves. Everything we could possibly need was provided including a welcome basket and a pint of milk. Catherine's communication was excellent including updates on local road works and she made sure we had a space to park. With plenty of good places to eat nearby, wonderful views and lots of interesting sites to visit it's a cracking location. Can highly recommend!

We had a great stay at Kim’s property, it was the perfect location to get to Bath, Bristol and head into the Cotswolds. Everything was clean, neat and tidy when we arrived. There was plenty of utensils and various items available for us to cook with and we didn’t feel like we were missing anything. Recommended. If we are ever in the area we will be sure to stay here again!

Lovely 5 night stay at the cottage with my two boys. It was quiet and peaceful, clean and perfectly equipped for our break. It’s in a great location. We bounced around local castles and walks by day, we cooked, watched films and cosied up by the fire in the evenings. The home baked cake that was left for our arrival made for the perfect add on to our packed lunches each day. Raglan Castle and the Forest of Dean were big hits, as was Symonds Yat. The beds were super comfy, I’ll miss the lovely powerful showers now we’re home, and we had everything we needed. James is a very responsive and helpful host, huge thanks for the early check in and sharing your beautiful space with us.

This place was such a great find. It is a beautiful barn with all mod cons, close to Frome and set within beautiful fields. The place is great for furry friends too with dogs welcome and lots of local dog walking routes. Jo and Gemma gave us a warm welcome and were very good with local recommendations. The hosts were responsive, the place was spotless and very stylish and we arrived to a beautiful hamper of goodies including bread and milk. We were very comfortable during our stay

Our stay was fantastic. The property was very spacious, very well equipped and had the feel of a luxury hotel. Location was perfect for getting to Bath and Bradford on Avon. A real treat for a Christmas break. Will definitely be back.

Beautiful place to stay, very clean tidy and had everything we needed. We went into Thornbury and found a tandoori “thornbury tandoori” and it was lovely!! Highly recommend this place for a nice weekend away!

Absolutely stunning place to stay, beautiful location, very peaceful, the cottage is finished to a high standard, fully equipped kitchen. I will definitely be returning next time I’m in the area. Unfortunately I was on a work trip and didn’t get to explore locally, but would love to return for a peaceful escape with my family.

I felt very at home! The barnlet is spotlessly clean, homely and has everything you need! It really is very well equipped! Hayley has clearly thought of everything! Host is very helpful, extremely responsive and friendly! Made an effort to say "Hello", which is always nice! I felt very relaxed and safe! The area is private and felt very secure. It truly is a wonderful countryside retreat! I will be returning if it's available when I need it again in the future! I HIGHLY recommend this place!

Absolutely stunning place, it is exactly what was advertised. Beautiful surrounding, quiet and peaceful. The place was clean and welcoming. My only issue was on arrival, the post code stopped short of the actual house so I had to phone for instructions to get to the house. I cannot stress how beautiful this home was, I will definitely book another stay again
