Had a lovely few days stay. Was a very tranquil location and very relaxing. Stopping by to see the animals on site was a wonderful experience. The kitchen was equiped with enough pans to make meals while we stayed there. The shop was a wonderful touch to pick up produce from the farm or just a few ammenities that might be needed. So relaxing to sit in the hot tub in the evening after exploring local attractions which have very helpfully been highlighted in a small guide. Looking to return in summer to make full use of the bbq on site and firepit.

We had such a lovely time at the shepherds hut, a perfectly peaceful and quiet get away - just what we needed! Great location for picturesque walks. We walked along Offas Dyke took 2.5 hrs straight from the hut. The local town had everything you needed only a short drive or 20 min walk away. We grabbed a takeaway pizza from Daphnes which was very delicious. Despite wet weather all weekend it did not dampen our spirits. The covered kitchen was a perfect location to cosy up and watch the thunder and lightning. It had everything you needed to make breakfast. The provided bread, bacon, eggs & milk were a lovely addition. The bed was very very comfy and the hut was clean, tidy & cosy. The hill up to the hut is steep but the provided wheelbarrow helped. Leaving in the rain was hilarious.

A beautiful place to stay that was very comfortable for our stay (2 adults, 2 children and a dog). Located a short drive from Barmouth town and beach, it is ideally located out of the way and within a very peaceful setting. The private garden is very well maintained and looks out to sea that shows beautiful sunsets. The shepherds hut was spacious enough for our stay and had everything that we needed. Thank you Hayley and Gareth. We had a lovely weekend.

The Cowboys hut was a beautifully made hut in an idyllic location. Danna left a lovely welcome hamper on arrival and the hut was clean and tidy. The log fire kept us toasty and we would love to visit again.

I have stayed at Gilwern several times, and as with each previous occasion I found Emma had made a huge effort to ensure the accommodation was very comfortable and well presented. I love the views, the peace and quiet, and always enjoy trying to find a fossil in the quarry. I will hope for another return trip in a year or two.

Amazing place! Unbelievable amount of effort has gone into the craftsmanship of the huts and the whole area of beautifully landscaped gardens and woodlands. Loved our stay and would highly recommend!

Beautiful cabin in a peaceful rural location with everything you need for a relaxing stay. Excellent outside space with hot tub and gas BBQ. The cabin had everything you need with a comfy bed and excellent bathroom and the hosts were very responsive. The honesty shop is a fabulous idea! And the welcome gifts were such a thoughtful touch! Close to stunning beaches and surrounded by the gorgeous mid Wales countryside. What's not to like!

Menna was great, always happy to heat the hot tub up for us! The little sleeping pods were comfortable with a really nice bed! And the location was brilliant, not too far from Snowdon which has the most amazing view! We had a fantastic time.

We had a wonderful stay at Rita and David’s shepherds hut. The hut was very easy to find and in such a peaceful pretty little village. David came to greet us and give us some info for the heating and hot water which was really helpful and the welcome guide was also really useful. We had dinner at the Royal Oak which was delicious and they were so friendly in there! We also noted how quiet and peaceful it was as we walked back, so lovely to be away from the constant cars and general noise of a city. We would definitely return to Rita and David’s place, great value for money and a lovely find!

Thank you for a great couple of nights! The cabin is lovely with everything you need provided. The outdoor shower is a fun addition, all in a relaxing and private setting.

Where to begin! A heavenly stay from start to finish. Stunning location, beautiful hut - clearly designed and built with love and attention to every detail. Mark and Jonathan could not have been more kind and welcoming. Sitting and watching the sunset from Elen has to go down as one of my happiest, most memorable moments. Loved the firepit and cosy wood burner. Didn't want to leave and can't wait to go back - absolutely perfect in every way. Thank you Mark and Jonathan for being so lovely. See you soon x

We have just returned from our minimoon after our wedding on Friday. Our stay exceeded our expectations! Bryn's communication was exceptional. He was flexible with our plans changing to include our fur baby, answered messages quickly and with accurate map Pins to make places easy to find. His recommendations were great, the nearby pub 'The Ravon' - delicious food, attentive staff and a cosy atmosphere. The nearby indian, wow the best we've had and the 'Bay Tree Cafe' what a gem! Bryn was friendly, approachable and went above and beyond to make our stay special with newly wed bunting, a bottle of bubbles and some homemade produce which was super tasty. Everything from the property itself, to the log burner, views and hot tub made our stay one we will never forget. It was a really special time as we enjoyed our new bubble as husband and wife! We will definitely return, Bryn has a special set-up here and his personable approach makes it. We will be regualars how. The Listers x

We had a lovely stay celebrating my birthday at Tulip. The Elan Valley walks were beautiful and the lamb & flag inn was a great place for some much needed food and Guinness, whilst watching the six nations! Becky presented the hut beautifully and was quick to reply with any questions we had. The hot tub was a great addition too! We would love to come again soon and would highly recommend! We loved staying with Beth, she was amazing and responsive from start to finish and a very attentive host. The location itself was stunning, I couldn’t have asked for a better stay, the photos honestly do not do the place justice! Super affordable as well which is always a plus! Will definitely be returning.

Easy to find as the postcode takes you straight to the location. Amazing place if you have dogs as the outside space is secluded. Even though it’s a working farm, you feel like you have the entire place to yourself Will 100% return

Lovely relaxing spot for a countryside getaway! Suzanne was a lovely host who was super proactive with communication and really friendly throughout our stay. The hut was really peaceful and a wonderful spot for a relaxing holiday!

The shepherd's hut was so pretty and beautifully decorated. The welcome sign as we pulled up was lovely and personal. The complimentary welcome package was a lovely touch. We would definitely book the accommodation again!

Stayed for a couple of days on a break to getaway and the location was perfect. It was so quiet and secluded, and the hot tub was a lovely addition after a day's walking in Snowdonia. Can't recommend enough, we will be back!

I had an amazing stay at the hut on the hill! It’s a true hidden gem surrounded by nature — peaceful, quiet, and the perfect escape from the hustle of everyday life. Waking up to the sounds of birds and the view of rolling hills was just magical. The hut itself was cozy, clean, and had everything I needed for a comfortable stay. You can really feel the care that’s been put into creating this little haven. Whether you’re into hiking, stargazing, or just relaxing in nature, this place is perfect. I left feeling refreshed and recharged. Highly recommended!

We’ve had a great few days staying in the Shepherd’s Hut - we were extremely comfortable and had everything we needed. Judy has thought about every little detail and it was just perfect. We had a mix of weathers and the hut was cosy throughout. The surrounding area is beautiful, it’s ideal for a relaxing break away. The location is also spot on for exploring North Wales - a short distance from Snowdonia, the coast and beautiful Anglesey. Judy provided us with loads of info and tailored recommendations based on what we said we would be aiming to do. We had a lovely warm welcome when we arrived - the log burner was lit and we had everything for a hot drink and slice of cake on arrival. Everything was spotless and organised perfectly in the hut. We can’t wait to come back!
