Lovely Airbnb for a couple, plenty of space. The kitchen is small but still a very functional space. Part baked bread for sandwiches cooked easily in the microwave oven. Madonna was very helpful and gave us very clear instructions so the Airbnb was easy to find, even in the dark. We had an issue with the hot water not working when we arrived, however I contacted Madonna and her husband came to fix it even though it was nearly midnight, so we could shower before bed. Great communication and a lovely location with great access to Wasdale, which was as beautiful as I remember it!

Great location and very peaceful. We thoroughly enjoyed the disconnect from the outside world, and to be able to tick off a Wainwright from the roundhouse was great. My wife loved the experience with Cumbrian Heavy Horses. We loved being able to support such an amazing place.

Lovely stay at Lind end cottage, beautiful scenery and a cosy cottage. Janet was very welcoming and made me feel very welcome and at home, thoroughly enjoyed having a chat with Janet. Nice and quiet and out of the way but still within a small driving distance from Coniston or Windermere. Will definitely be looking to come and stay again.

We had a great time at Canny Brow Barn. Everything you could possible think of or need for your stay, Ian and Anne-Marie had thought about, from a cocktail shaker to cleaning products to games. Would highly recommend!

What a perfect place to stay with all of the family from 11 months to 80+yrs of age. Accessibility for my mum was excellent with walk in showers and sofa chairs easy to get in and out of. A travel cot and high chair provided for the youngest member of the family. A dishwasher including the tablets along with a fully equipped kitchen, plastic glasses for use in the hot tub ideal with a glass of wine or too. Our two dogs enjoyed lots of walks and it was brilliant that the garden was fully enclosed and safe for them too. Sarah the host was lovely nothing was too much trouble, little touches like jigsaws and board games where available and the barn had been decorated for Christmas to make you feelst home. The barn was in a beautiful location with lots of walks and a local pub ( booking is essential). If your into astronomy go to Grassholme Observatory I learnt so much and the dark skies are awesome. We had a lovely New Years break and would highly recommended Sunrise Barn for families.

We had a truly lovely stay at this comfortable and pristine clean cottage, hidden away in a peaceful location with stunning views in every direction. It’s the perfect spot for anyone seeking fresh air, tranquility, and access to a range of beautiful hikes and cozy local pubs. We spent two nights here and didn’t want to leave! Lynda and Fraser were incredibly helpful and accommodating, and recommended a stunning walk to Cautley Spout, which quickly became a highlight of our trip. Highly recommend this gem of a place — we’ll definitely be back!

This was a fantastic stay, with lovely peaceful scenery, a private garden and hot tub and a firepit / BBQ We cancelled our meal out to cook at the cottage and enjoy the views and serenity. The photos don't quite do it justice! it's even nicer than we expected. A great stay in a great location, no faffing getting there it was all very straightforward. Definitely recommend!

Hi Reg and Lynn, From Darren, Vic and Charlie, we want to say a massive thank you for your hospitality, your kindness and allowing us to stay in your beautiful cottage. we've had the best few days in a long time and felt part of your wonderful family whilst allowing us space and privacy to truly relax. we'd like to thank you also for the little extras we found upon arrival which were most thoughtful and kind. We struggled to leave this morning and the love you've all put into the cottage was felt from the second we walked through the door. I really don't think the photos do justice to the beauty and charm. The local walks are wonderful, the beach is an absolute delight, you've made everything perfect for us and hope we'll be back one day. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts, it's been the most perfect of breaks Darren, Vic and a truly tired Charlie x

I had an amazing stay at this cabin this past weekend. It was incredibly peaceful and relaxing and was in the most idyllic location. I can't wait to come back!

I took my 23 year old daughter here for a couple of days hiking with her pooch.. we had a lovely time, reallt nice and quite location. Amanda gives you plenty of useful information before you arrive. The hot tub stayed nice and hot yoo. We had a reallt lovely time and will definitely visit here again.

Had a wonderful weekend here with friends. The house and view are even more stunning than the photos. Plenty of space for everyone to do their thing and a great location to explore the South and West Lakes area. The directions and house instructions were clear and we had a wonderful meal at the recommended pub.

The house was exactly as described, well equipped and perfect for exploring the Lake District. The kitchen had everything I needed and the front room and bedroom were very cosy and spotlessly clean. Tina was an excellent host, very friendly and helpful with any questions I had. I felt right at home! I also enjoyed being greeting by their dog Darcy each day :) I took a dog with me and found the house to be very dog friendly. There is a garden at the front of the property you can access via the main path and there is a gated paddock at the bottom for off lead runs. I really appreciated the extra touches such as the toiletries, dog bowls and poo bags. I would definitely stay here again!

We were looking for a quiet peaceful place to explore the walking in the area. Emma's place fitted the bill perfectly being situated in a remote rural location. The Byre is well fitted out with quality finishes and small welcoming touches such as the delicious homemade cake. Emma is a great host and we will happily return to continue exploring the area.

I had the most incredible stay at this unique Airbnb in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales! The location is simply stunning, completely isolated with no phone signal, offering the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. If you're looking for tranquility, this is it. The property is immaculate—clean, tidy, and very well-maintained. It's the ideal spot to unwind surrounded by breathtaking views. Whether you're hiking or just relaxing, it's the perfect getaway. Highly recommend for anyone seeking a true retreat in the countryside!

Amazing stay, felt at home and Tom couldn’t be anymore helpful. Would recommend him to anyone. We got egg from his chickens that he gave us, wood provided the first time of use and the hot was a bonus and heated up within 2 hours with the fire. Overall loved our stay and defiantly will be back to stay with TOM. Thanks again. The place was clean and easy findable with what3words.

Wonderful, cosy place to stay in beautiful area.

Just had a great stay at The Byre as a couple + dog. A perfect hideaway in the beautiful Lake District countryside. Charlotte was very communicative and helpful throughout and The Byre is a beautiful and charming space equipped for almost every need and want. A well equipped kitchen, comfortable bed (great bed linen too!) and a homely seating area. Every detail had been considered, butter and milk in the fridge (of course, we had forgot milk...), a few lindt chocolates and treats for the dog (and a spare dog bowl for us forgetful types!), wood and kindling-a-plenty, the log burner was even 'match-stick ready'. Bampton Grange is sleepy but beautiful. A great community run convenience/coffee shop and pub is just 5-10 mins walk in Bampton so plenty on the doorstep. Would also recommend the Pub in Dacre (20 mins drive). We found this location to be a great base for exploring all the best spots in The Lakes. Couldn't recommend this stay more highly. Hope to be back soon!
