The Shepards hut was set in a beautiful, idyllic area of Northumbria. The hut itself was spotless and well decorated and it had a real cozy feel to it. The radiators did a great job of warming the place up when necessary and the owners were responsive, informative and friendly. Our only complaint was there were very strong winds on the second night of our stay and the whistles coming through the cracks in the structure were very noisy! But, can’t really be helped and it wouldn’t stop us from retuning again.

Absolutely amazing place to stay! The view through the window was stunning, especially sunrise. It was breaking... The location is perfect if you are looking for a calm and peaceful place to come back after the busy day out and about. The caravan was very clean and had everything we needed (the milk in the fridge was a very nice treat for us, thank you). We had a great time there. Highly recommend.

Located a stones through from some amazing beautiful hiking trails. Neat and cosy and underfloor heating was amazing and makes ALL the difference. Never had to experience putting my feet on cold floors - so worth it. Only stayed the night for a quick get away with my partner and we’ve had a lovely night. The local chippy even did delivery so after a good days walking up the nook, through the woods, then along the beach, it was fantastic to be warm and dry in my pyjamas tucked up in a blanket ready for a dinner to come to us. Beautifully finished simplistic studio. I recommend some board games though, there’s books but we’re not into reading. Chess would have been a winner for us. Loved our time never the less, thanks! :)

Lovely cosy weekend away in the log cabin. It was very clean and spacious and Ruth was very quick in responding if we needed anything. The rowing boat was a nice touch and you could take it out whenever you wanted. We made use of the fire pit and bbq in the evening. Woke up to a lovely sunrise and the 2 deers in the field always came over to say hello. The area was so quiet and peaceful with lovely views. Would highly recommend!

We had a great time staying at Gillian's pod. The location is excellent with beautiful views and we enjoyed our time there.

An amazing little getaway from the hustle and bustle of City life. Beautiful location, amazing amenities. We have left a vinyl from our personal collection to add to the cottages extensive list. The photos understate how amazing this place is, do not hesitate, get yourself booked in ASAP!

So after a short drive from Bury, we arrived at our beautiful field house. views amazing, sunsets stunning. Walk up the hills exhausting 😎 local pubs entertaining. Everything very doggy friendly🐶 The honesty shop well stocked with essentials ( wolly hats to pot noodles ) fire pit a fab evening place to sit around, ask S, for the firework cones 🎉 will be back with the family

A great little cabin with lovely grounds to explore. The cabin was big enough for 2 adults, 2 infants and a dog. Although the weather was typical of October in Britain, my two toddlers loved getting their wellies and puddlesuits on and exploring the area. Portaloo, mini shop and showers located a few steps from the cabin and all worked well. Lots of water in large bottles available near the firewood. Network is spotty, but generally available when outside the cabin. Cabin was easily kept warm with a fire, firewood and fire lighters were available for purchase at the place. Parents with small children need to keep a very close eye as there are many ponds and a stream that runsa through the property, but the beauty of the area is well worth the extra vigilance. Overall very happy with the stay, will consider again in the future. Thanks!

We had a lovely stay at the Shepard’s hut, which was exactly as described. It was very clean and comfortable. There were plenty of great recommendations for things to do in the area, and the complimentary gifts left for us were a lovely touch. Host was very friendly and made us feel welcome. We would definitely recommend this place!

Had the absolute pleasure of staying here for my girlfriend’s birthday. The whole stay from start to finish was amazing. The hosts are both welcoming and accommodating, including a generous welcome basket. Comfy beds, amazing coffee, great water pressure and overall a perfect stay. We will definitely be returning soon

Adam & Emma were helpful and professional as soon as I placed the booking. They answered any queries I had in a more than reasonable time frame, especially when on the site during our stay. Lodge was clean, comfortable & suited our needs for the weekend away. Beautiful surroundings and not far from other locations in the dales. Price was reasonable for location & time of year. Would recommend & would go again.

The Farmhouse Lodge was comfortable, quiet and close to the place we were visiting. We really appreciated Angela's offer for us to check in early; it was very kind and made us feel especially welcome.

A fantastic place to stay in a beautiful location. So much to do in the area but the cottage itself is stunning. Perfect for a long weekend break with everything you could need. We especially loved the supplies provided by the host, some fresh eggs from chickens in their yard and some local milk. We ended up staying in and cooking ourselves after initially planning to go out. The hosts were also lovely and provided us with all the information we asked as well as a nice conversation each morning as we were on our way out. It was also lovely to have their dogs come say hello one morning and also to see their chickens enjoying the sun right outside!

Lovely hut in beautiful surroundings. Attention to detail and some thoughtful little extras made us feel welcome, warm and cosy (despite the freezing weather!), very much home from home. Perfect location for walking and exploring the countryside. Unfortunately it was too cloudy for star gazing but we'd love to come back!

We had the most gorgeous stay at the hut! From the moment we arrived Victoria was a wonderful and friendly host, she shows us to the accommodation and made sure that we felt settled and happy! The hut was so cosy but bigger than we expected, and very spacious! It was clean and pristine from top to bottom and the bed was super duper comfy! We really appreciated the snacks, drinks and treats left for us to enjoy! The hut felt very private and the gardens that it’s located in were beautiful. It’s a short walk to town and we adored our stay here, and will definitely be returning! Thank you so much Victoria 🥰

Exactly what me and my partner needed for a few days, middle of the countryside surrounded by nature and very quiet on a night. A nice reset if you live in a busy place Parking was great and the wheelbarrow is a great so people aren’t struggling with luggage The hut itself is excellent, simple and cosy, easy to get hot and cool. Feels very open with all the glass but can feel very cosy too when all the shutters/curtains are closed. The surrounding area is very beautiful with sheep in the field’s and birds in the trees Definitely would stay here again

Really nice place and very peaceful which is exactly what was needed. Hosts were so helpful and very responsive to any questions I had. Cabin was beautiful and spotless. Annan town centre was only a 5 minute drive away too so the location was perfect for all you need
