I am not sure I can add more superlatives to my last review - lovely house, perfect location and terrific hospitality.

We used this as a base for a couple of days cycling and it was ideal. Fiona and James were very friendly. Everything was as expected. Short (but slightly muddy) walk to a pleasant pub serving good food.

Carole and Mike are very nice, friendly and helpful. They gave us lots of advice for sightseeing around York. Carole would tell us the time for taking a bus to York City Center every day. We are afraid of being cold, Mike tried his very best to give us more heat by burning fire to send more heat to our room. We wanted to go to Sunday worship, Carole is kindly to bring us to her church by car, and we enjoyed the church service very much. It is a very quiet and peaceful place, everything is clean, and the bed is very comfortable, we slept very well there. We cooked our meals in the house, and everything needed for cooking is ready and convenient. That's really a good place to rest. We highly recommend it to people to stay there for a holiday. We really appreciate Carole and Mike, and thank them from our hearts!

The place to stay if you want an incredible service and a lovely room. It had everything we needed and Kirsty even had veggie sausages and soy milk/yoghurt for the breakfast in the morning. Super friendly and would definitely stay again if I was in the area.

Stayed here while I attended a wedding at Redworth Hall so it was a perfect location for that. The room was nice and spacious, lovely comfy bed and I opted for the £5 cooked breakfast in the morning which was a nice treat. Paul and Jasmine made me feel very welcome.

Great stopover whilst doing the C2C cycle. There is bike storage, a large and well equipped kitchen, comfy beds and clean bathroom. The local pub was not serving food so we went via the co-op in Stanhope to stock up on food. When we arrived at the airbnb there was fruit and breakfast ingredients - a great touch! Sophie was good at communicating and Lizzie was very welcoming - thank you!

Lovely place to stay overlooking the river from Room 2. We only stayed for one night while waking Hadrian’s wall but felt very welcome and will definitely be back for a longer period next time! Thank you Brian!

Fantastic place for a weekend break, had my own area upstairs with a small room to the side of the bedroom for breakfast making/easting. Bedroom was very spacious and the bed was most comfy and clean. Great host, very friendly and provided good local recommendations. Parking was perfect (on driveway) and directions were also easy to follow. Definitely would recommend for others if they want a trip to the north of England, great history and walks very close by and Newcastle is about a 50 minute train ride.

We really enjoyed our stay. The room has beautiful views, and is clean and comfy. Diana and her partner were really helpful and accommodating. The breakfast was a really nice surprise with fresh orange juice, fresh fruit, and homemade fruit jams! Diana also got some oat milk and dairy free margarine for me which was very kind. On our arrival we were greeted with a fresh pot of tea which was lovely. We used one of their local walk guides to do a circular walk which was also fun. I liked seeing the geese and chickens in the garden too. A very peaceful place. Would love to come back and stay again! Thanks for making our stay so enjoyable Diana :)

Very welcoming stay with Jan and Doug. It was like coming home after a few days hiking and they cooked an amazing breakfast. Good location and easy to walk into the town centre too.

Gorgeous house and a lovely couple! Tania’s place was beautifully decorated, very clean, and incredibly comfortable. Communication was great throughout, and the breakfast was delicious. Would definitely stay again!

Just stayed overnight in the beautifully presented bnb. All of our expectations were exceeded. Breakfast was fabulous. We were visiting the red squirrels at the Castle Howard arboretum - get there as they open for best sightings. But would be worth making a detour to just to stay here.

Expect to be spoiled with fabulous brekkies and good value Packed lunches (if wanted). Bedrooms clean and well presented with everything you need on hand. Nothing too much trouble for Angela. Also Countryside beautiful in this whole area. Definitely recommend a stay at this comfortable home from home.

A beautiful newly refurbished room in a lovely farmhouse in a fantastic location in Malham. Michelle couldn’t have been more helpful. We couldn’t fault the lovely room, as good as a quality hotel, comfortable bed, crisp white bed linen, tea and coffee, homemade biscuits and fluffy white towels. A great full English breakfast and we were perfectly place to visit the three amazing beauty spots. Thoroughly recommend this lovely B & B thank you Michelle.

Fantastic stay with Anne, she's a great host. Although breakfast isn't provided there are plenty of goodies in the room to make your own tea/coffee/breakfast. Its quiet and clean - the location isn't too far from York Park & Ride either, which makes it a great location for anyone wanting to travel into central York. Well recommended stay.

It was the best things that could have happened to us to have stayed with Sara. What a resourceful and beautiful weekend we had - including the best hospitality (apple pie upon arrival), a rainbow behind the house, a myriad of tips on where to go for the best food and hike and above all Sara’s beautiful house with all her paintings and amazing decor. It felt like home. Thank you.

Heather is a wonderful host and the Coach House is exactly as described. The information provided by Heather is really helpful and Heather responds to queries very quickly. The Coach House is spotlessly clean and has everything you need although the provision of a TV would be a bonus. However, WiFi is available and guests are offered the opportunity to watch TV to on their own devices. The location is excellent with lovely views from the Coach House windows. I would highly recommend the Coach House and I plan to return soon.

Debbie, is a most wonderful host who went out of her way to make us feel at home.We had a delicious breakfast, the room and front room were so cosy and really suited our needs.
