A beautiful location and cottage. It was super relaxing sitting in the hot tub in the evening with the amazing surroundings. Lots of lovely added touches to make it feel like the perfect getaway.

We needed a nice peaceful relaxing few days away and that’s exactly what we got. Emily and Alun gave great recommendations for local walks, pubs and restaurants. The accommodation was spotless, well stocked with everything we needed. I would highly recommend.

Bit of a run down area but actual house is good once inside . If driving very handy for beach,shops,restaurants etc Overall it was a great stay and everything in hose worked well.

We had a great stay at Jay's place. The house had everything we needed in terms of amenities, and was very clean. Kitchen was well equipped. Jaya was very responsive and attended to all our needs. Anyway, only regret was that we only stayed one night ! Hope to come again to Jaya's place for our next visit in Newcastle !

What a perfect place to stay with all of the family from 11 months to 80+yrs of age. Accessibility for my mum was excellent with walk in showers and sofa chairs easy to get in and out of. A travel cot and high chair provided for the youngest member of the family. A dishwasher including the tablets along with a fully equipped kitchen, plastic glasses for use in the hot tub ideal with a glass of wine or too. Our two dogs enjoyed lots of walks and it was brilliant that the garden was fully enclosed and safe for them too. Sarah the host was lovely nothing was too much trouble, little touches like jigsaws and board games where available and the barn had been decorated for Christmas to make you feelst home. The barn was in a beautiful location with lots of walks and a local pub ( booking is essential). If your into astronomy go to Grassholme Observatory I learnt so much and the dark skies are awesome. We had a lovely New Years break and would highly recommended Sunrise Barn for families.

As fabulous as expected. Ideal space for two couples, high spec accommodation with lots of room to relax . The kitchen is small if you intend to self cater but the facilities and equipment are excellent. We spent most of the time sat in the dining room watching the peacocks who wandered up to the window each day to be admired. Played tennis and walked into the nearby village along a public footpath 50 mins to a very good pub ( Dawnay Arms ) and evenings in the hot tub . Thoroughly enjoyed it, the host ( Lucy ) is onsite and is welcoming and supportive with communication without any intrusion . No hesitation recommending.

Great place, stay was work related but if i would happily return again for a weekend away. Great location and a well presented home.

Such a gorgeous air bnb! Me and my sister have already talked about going back in the future. Really relaxing and the view from the window was beautiful. We loved watching the birds and were absolutely obsessed with the bluetooth mirror!

This place really took us by surprise. We drove 5.5 hours each way, just to visit and our biggest regret was not booking longer! Worth every bit of the money and drive. The place was private and peaceful. Very safe and secure and very quiet so you can really enjoy yourself. Really feels like you have the whole place and surrounding areas to yourself! Utensils and appliances wise you could see Jane has real care and attention to detail, everything you could need or think of was provided. And that too of high quality not just your budget items. The bbq was a proper bbq which was a joy to use. The hot tub come with lighting and jets. Even the pots and pans were tefal! A lot of time and money has gone into it all. Garden was well lit also for those late evenings. Was lovely to meet Ben also. So much more to say but we won’t ruin all the delightful surprises! Very happy with the stay and we will be back for sure. Thank you! And see you next time.

Just home after an excellent three night stay with my family. Having access to the swimming pool and sauna was brilliant and a daily routine for us, as well as a game of darts and snooker. Any questions we had were answered quickly and helpfully. Watching the sun set from the hot tub was a particular highlight! All attractions are a short drive away so a perfect location all in all. Would highly recommend. Thanks again.

We stayed with our two children and had the best time. Hosts were so friendly and helpful. Surroundings and views were something else. We will definitely be visiting again and bringing our extended family along 😊

We had the most amazing stay here, a lovely accommodation with great hosts. There are really nice pubs a short walk away and some beautiful waterfalls along some hiking routes. The pods themselves are fantastic, we would absolute recommend staying here.

I wanted a quiet, peaceful place to get away for the weekend to celebrate turning 40. I was not disappointed! The lookout cabin had everything I needed/wanted and was such a beautiful place to stay. Having Red Squirrels, pheasants and other wildlife visiting right on the doorstep was magical, and relaxing in the hot tub, listening to the birds singing as the sun went down was an incredible experience. I really hope to come back again someday!

My Husband and I only stayed one night, but it was perfect for what we needed. We did end up needing more wood for the hot tub before it finally got to the right temperature and it was a wonderful experience after that. Beautiful and clean pod will all the basic essentials. Bathroom a lot bigger than anticipated. Won’t be our last time here for sure. Local coop just 5 min drive. Thank you Thomas.

Well what can I say, absolutely nothing to complain about. Very spacious property, perfect location with great views and complete peace and quiet. Whole place was immaculate and the host even went out her way to clean a slide for the kids to play on.

We recently had the pleasure of staying at Julia’s charming lodge with my family to celebrate our son’s 30th birthday, it exceeded all my expectations. The space was impeccably clean, with very comfortable beds and a well-equipped kitchen that made me feel right at home. The location and views are just fantastic, it is just under a two mile walk to the lovely twice brewed pub and Hadrian s wall. Julia was incredibly hospitable and responsive to my queries The thoughtful touches, like the fabulous welcome basket, well stock kitchen cupboards with all the essentials and of course the lovely kind touch of a very tasty homemade fresh cream cake and Prosecco on ice when we arrived. All rooms having well equipped en-suite with all the essentials, shampoo etc. all bedrooms also having your own door leading to the beautiful outside area with chickens welcoming us every morning. I highly recommend this lodge to anyone visiting this area and definitely look forward to returning
