Perfect place and good value for an overnight trip to Durham. About a 8 mins drive from the center and although we didn’t use a cab I am sure one would be affordable. In a large village with amenities such as a Morrisons and two pubs. One of the pubs - Travellers Rest - does great and good value food and was very popular for a MK sag evening (Italian night). Will use again if we are up in Durham

Ben was an excellent host and I would really recommend his place for the location, if you are holidaying in Ripon it is very central. The house was clean and homely. Parking is on street and we managed to get a spot on the road every night the week we stayed but generally it had filled up by approximately 17:00, there is alternative parking in a carpark around the corner though. There is a nice running route through fields along the river out of Ripon and back in from the north. Thanks for the lovely stay.

Great spot! The location could not have been more perfect for walking to family members in the area and shopping. House was ideal for our family of 4. The Christmas decorations made us feel right at home as we were so far away from Arizona. House was very clean as well. Thank you for being so responsive.

We had a great time staying at Sandra's wonderful house. We were on a work trip but had a bit of down time too to explore the area. The house worked really well for us to do some work there when we weren't out meeting people. We were able to really enjoy cooking there, just like it was our home kitchen due to how well equipped it was which was really important for our flexible schedule. The area itself is fantastic - great views, close by to everything and the house was comfy and cosy after long days out working and exploring. Sandra was very proactive in her communications and thoughtful with her suggestions and gestures - she left us a really kind welcome package and basics in the kitchen which again were really appreciated. Would really recommend this place and I hope to stay again!

Seldom is where we stay one of the highlights of our trip, but this townhouse definitely was. It was absolutely amazing. It was warm and comfortable after coming in from our chilly all day excursions. The beds were comfortable, the house extremely clean and the amenities absolute perfection.

We had a lovely stay for 2 nights at this beautiful and cozy home. It was so well organised and felt warm and welcoming from the moment we arrived. We loved the charming decor and all the thoughtful details. Anthony was a wonderful host- approachable, kind, and very helpful. His clear instructions made everything smooth and stress free. The nearby forest walks were really nice, and the stream running through the woods made it so refreshing. The local people were friendly and helpful. The house itself was such a delight that we can’t wait to come back again. Highly recommend this home to anyone looking for a peaceful and comfortable stay. Excellent accommodation and even better hosts. The accommodation was as expected from the pictures, very warm and had everything you need from an amenities perspective. I feel it would benefit from a larger duvet though as my wife and I were taking it in turns stealing the duvet through the night, the room was warm so wasn't too big of a deal though. Shower is powerful and very nice! We found the decking was very slippery due to the ice so it would be good if some gritting salt was nearby. Location wise it's 30seconds walk to the sites cafe and pool/gym and the site itself is just a short drive to Grassington, Burnsall and Skipton. Lots of great walks, we would definitely recommend the Grassington-Burnsall walk as it's one of our favourites. Our stay was unfortunately cut short due to local weather warnings for snow and when we contacted the hosts, they was very accommodating, even providing a very fair refund as it was out of our control.

WOW - what a beautiful home!!! An absolute gem * For context - it was myself, my partner, two boys (4 and 2 years old) & our cavapoo. There was ample space for us all regarding bedrooms, bathrooms and lounge space. The home was tastefully decorated in keeping with the local beach aswell as spotlessly clean. NOTHING was too much for our hosts who were simply magnificent given the fact this is a relatively new venture for them. You would think this operation has been running for years based on the quality and efficiency of everything from booking and recommendations. The beach is quite literally a stones throw away and we made a beeline for this every morning after breakfast. Great start to the day! We had a 60 minute drive to Whitby with the family which was thoroughly enjoyable for some stunning Fish & Chips and crabbing for the boys to partake in. Some spectacular views driving down the coast past Redcarr and Saltburn. We would definitely come back again! BOOK BOOK BOOK IT!

Caravan was immaculate and very homely loved the added touches. The Seaview was a bonus as the children loved it. Our family enjoyed our Christmas in the caravan was a lovely experience. Would definately recommend to others. Great host 5*.

Lovely stay, shepherds hut was well equipped and had all you needed and was nice and cosy inside… outdoor space was also great and we loved the hot tub and bbq facilities which were provided. Gillan was a great host and showed us around, but privacy was not invaded which we liked. Would definitely recommend a stay here

What an amazing place this is and David is a fantastic host. If you’re looking for a party house then please look elsewhere. Whilst David’s place has a lovely indoor swimming pool and an outdoor hot tub, it also has delightful neighbours that must be respected. The place is spotless throughout, equipped with everything you could possibly need for your stay and is wonderfully peaceful and secluded. David responds to communication within minutes and is always happy to help with recommendations and answers to all of your questions. The beds are exceptionally comfortable, the place is warm and very welcoming. There a a pub that does amazing food only 5 mins away by car (The Queens Arms). I recommend booking a meal as they do get very busy and it’s not hard to see why. You’re surrounded by the lovely Yorkshire Dales and its magnificent wildlife. If you have young children, this place has everything you need to entertain them both indoors and out. Great value for money 🙏🙏

We loved our time here, surrounded by nature - and lovely isolated place for a reset. Hoping to come back at some point, possibly for a winter getaway. Everything was dead easy - parking, self check-in, location, lodge itself, just very easy and homely. Highly recommended.

We had a lovely couple of days at Brandybuck cottage. Superb location in the heart of Kirkby Stephen with the high street a minute walk away and some gorgeous walks around the local area straight from the cottage. The cottage itself is a real home from home with a well equipped kitchen,comfy beds and a decent shower. There was plenty of space for our family of 4 with 2 older children(who appreciated the TV in each bedroom). Communication from the host was excellent with directions and check in details clearly explained so arrival and check in was a smooth process. Parking is on a road to the rear of the property which again was clearly explained and Marks directions took us to the exact place to park with further clear directions from there to access the rear of the cottage. Tea,coffee,sugar,milk and a packet of biscuits was provided upon arrival which was a nice touch and much appreciated. We booked this cottage as a last minute break and it is a real gem of a find.

what a lovely couple of nights we spent here for my birtday bd it was magical. Just what we needed and with lots and walks and things to see so close we were spoilt for choice. Fraser greeted us and made us feel so welcome and recommend a wonderful waterfall to visit close by. had. a great time and would recommend to anyone

Absolutely beautiful the walks were quite difficult to find the waterfalls but I don’t know if that’s because we went the wrong way and got slightly lost but had so much fun searching for them. Absolutely beautiful hot tub really helped after getting back from a hike.

Highly recommend this is our 2nd visit as we love it so much. Having this fantastic base to return to after exploring the local area is absolute perfection. This property has everything and more to make your stay comfortable and unforgettable. The extras such as treats for us and dogs mean so much. Thank you.

Bit of a run down area but actual house is good once inside . If driving very handy for beach,shops,restaurants etc Overall it was a great stay and everything in hose worked well.

Harry is a very responsive and friendly host, anytime I asked a question he would respond within 10 mins, very quite and peaceful area for my reactive French bulldog. Completely private, easy drive in access, the place was very clean and tidy, comfortable and cozy. 100% coming back to this place. They even give you a free field session for your pup to run about off lead for free! Thanks again Harry

The iron chapel is a wonderful place to stay, full of character, and a lovely place to spend time with family. Lisa and Michael were great hosts, very quick to reply to any queries we had. We would definitely stay here again and would recommend the iron chapel. Andy & Sarah.
