Beautiful cabin! Extremely clean! The kids and I loved this place and cannot wait to come back. Sitting in the hot tub listening to the river was absolutely amazing and so peaceful! Love that the kitchen is stocked with all your cooking essentials and the kids loved that there was a bookshelf full of games.

This place was wonderful! The air bnb is a very beautiful, unique and fun historical home! Janeen was very accommodating and very responsive! The air bnb is stocked with everything you could possibly need! The back porch over looking the river was my favorite spot! Very peaceful and serene! I loved this place and would definitely stay again.

This cabin is one of the coolest cabins we've ever stayed in! Honestly, the pictures don't quite do it justice. So much character and charm...and the kitchen had brand new, retro-looking appliances that had just been installed and just added to the whole experience! My wife and I took our son and his girlfriend for the weekend so we could celebrate her birthday and they loved it, too. We've been to Lexington a lot over the years and always enjoy walking around downtown, going to Virginia Safari Park and going to to the drive in movie theater. We're planning on going back when the weather is warmer and we can get out on the river. Betsy is a wonderful host and I honestly can't think of anything negative to say. If you're looking for a cozy, cool cabin that gives you some privacy, but is still close to Lexington, this cabin needs to be on your list! Betsy, thanks for everything!

The location was convenient, and the host was incredibly responsive and welcoming, going above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. My husband and I and young Bloodhound traveled to Lexington for a BMX bike race and relaxation. The cabin was pristine, comfy, in a beautiful setting and I could go on and on!! Sally had fresh eggs from her own chickens, homemade blueberry muffins, milk, juice, water, shampoo/ conditioner….and much more!! We saw deer right outside of the kitchen window… the area is perfect for front porch sitting and nice walks! Sally and her husband went above and beyond!! We WILL be back!! I had a great last minute getaway here and I agree with the other reviews, it’s so much better than the pictures give it credit for and was so comfortable with everything I needed. It is located adjacent to another property, it’s above the garage although only one or two steps if mobility is a concern for you, it’s very accessible. No one was using the other property so it was great to be alone. I had coffee on the front porch every morning as the deer came to say hi and listened to the beautiful soft (read very quiet) church bells in the distance on Sunday morning and watched as the sun rose over the trees. It was so peaceful and relaxing. Easy access to hikes with my dog we both enjoyed the yard. She would lie in the grass by the fire pit and we watched the sun set after a long day of hiking. I recommend bringing your food as I didn’t see too many restaurants, also I had cell service with both Verizon and T-Mobile. All in all a great place if you’re looking to escape!!

The old schoolhouse was quaint, peaceful, and a nice relaxing place to chill with our dogs.

Our stay at the Cozy Cabin was awesome! Beautiful location, beautiful cabin with attention to detail in every area. Shauna quickly responded with any questions we had. We would love to go back. 10/10!

The home is beautiful and very peaceful. Was clean, inviting and had everything we needed for a quiet stay. Good location in between Staunton and Lexington but far enough out to have space and peaceful setting. Would stay again.

My work trip ended up feeling like a peaceful quiet vacation to unwind. Location and cabin were absolutely amazing!!!!!

Such a beautiful and peaceful cabin, with a fire pit next to a relaxing creek. No cell reception or WiFi, obviously, but the listing makes that clear and Gertie's restaurant a few minutes away has free Starlink if you really need to get online. There's really nothing wrong with this place, which is rare to find. Seriously, trying to think of anything negative, the bet I can come up with is that the air unit over the bed makes very high-pitched whine. It's too high for most people to hear. My wife could hear it but I couldn't until I made an audio recording and lowered the pitch. The owner probably isn't even aware of it. That's the best I can come up with for a complaint, haha. Great place to get away from the world and if you get too bored but want to stay inside, there are loads of books downstairs, and movies (new and old) upstairs.

The cabin was a wonderful place to stay! The view is amazing, and Sarah made sure we had everything we needed. We were able to meet one of her dogs and see him work the sheep, as well as bottle feed a couple lambs. It made for a lovely little honeymoon. There's also plenty to do nearby. We visited Lexington almost everyday and also did some hiking. We can't wait to return!

The view from the porch is absolutely beautiful. We loved the covered porch so very much easy access to the highway. I would stay again and hope to.

We enjoyed our stay so much. The cabin was cozy and had everything we needed. We enjoyed our coffee in the mornings on the porch listening to the birds and the cows. Walking through the orchards and feeding the goats and donkey was a great surprise. It was the perfect get away to slow down and enjoy some peace and quiet. The recommendations given were perfect as well. We enjoyed dinner at Vito’s and lunch AND dinner at Woodruff’s Cafe & Pies! We will definitely will return!

Great place to get away and enjoy nature while having modern comforts! This place exceeded my expectations. Loved the holiday decorations and the personal touches that made it feel like home. Notes: They have a hard water softener, which makes the water taste metallic, so bring bottled water or a water filter. Also, it is secluded from major stores, so be sure to bring all your supplies with you.

It’s simple, we love this cabin and location.

Meolody was extremely helpful. She reached out and communicated early. She provided great instructions for finding the cabin, as cell service is limited out there, so following instructions is very important. The cabin and surrounding area were perfect. Nice little getaway from my wife and I, beautiful surroundings. We were able to go around the area to find things to do within reasonable drive. Time spent at the cabin was wonderful. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a nice getaway For some peace and quiet.
