This place was wonderful! The air bnb is a very beautiful, unique and fun historical home! Janeen was very accommodating and very responsive! The air bnb is stocked with everything you could possibly need! The back porch over looking the river was my favorite spot! Very peaceful and serene! I loved this place and would definitely stay again.

We had a great stay! The house is amazing and the surroundings are incredible. We all loved the view! I loved cooking in that kitchen, they had everything you could need to cook a good, big family dinner. We had a lot of fun without even needing to really go out and do much.

My family and I enjoyed our short time at Robins home. The view was stunning. We even had a little snow on our arrival and that made it magical. The house was so clean and the beds were so comfortable. We had everything we needed to make a nice dinner for our family. The outdoor area and fire pit were perfect for a chilly evening. Robin was such a wonderful and welcoming host. We are looking forward to our next visit to Lexington in the near future!

This home is so great we have stayed 3 times. Janeen is always a gracious host. One in our party had an accident and she has been understanding and forgiving. Of course we are paying for repairs and wouldn’t have it any other way, but her friendly attitude and understanding made this mistake comfortable so it didn’t hinder our trip. From the first glimpse of the rolling farm hills and quietly grazing cows we knew we had a good place to get away from our ordinary lives. Brendan met us when we arrived at the quaint location: rambling farm home and adjacent out-buildings close to a lovely stream with weeping willows, wild flowers. Brendan helped us with our luggage and showed us around so we could get the most from our stay. We took walks along the farm roads and enjoyed our time in and out of the house. The outdoor shower was fun and I loved the deep claw foot tub.

The old schoolhouse was quaint, peaceful, and a nice relaxing place to chill with our dogs.

Wonderful stay in a beautiful setting! Fully stocked kitchen and comfortable sleeping arrangements. Tons of space for people and pets alike. For horse people this stay is a short 14 min drive to the Virginia Horse Center. Highly recommend all around!!

It’s simple, we love this cabin and location.

We had an amazing time! The cottage was clean, extremely stocked with lots of extras which was so nice. The views are incredible. The hosts are extremely friendly and helpful. They are close if you need anything but the house is very private. The adults, kid and dogs loved it! Hope to come back again!

Great, clean and beautifully decorated home. Lots of room for relaxing and spreading out. Only very small negative is there are no bathrooms attached to any of the rooms. My husband and I slept in the downstairs bedroom and you have to walk through the family room to get to the bathroom. Other than that, we’d stay here every single visit. Great place!!

Ideal place to stay to watch our daughter’s national championship game at Washington and Lee. Tasha was extremely helpful to make the weekend perfect for my extended family. We are dedicating the win to her😀

Glasgow House was an amazing place for my wife and I to stay as we waited to close on a house in nearby Lexington. The rented area is spacious and peaceful. We enjoyed the beautiful art on the walls and made good use of the kitchen, which had everything we needed. The back patio was a joy. We spent many mornings watching the spectacular sunrises over the hills and almost as many evenings under a dark sky stargazing and listening for the howls of cayotes and the hoots of owls. Elise and Eric were great hosts and made us feel very welcome. We often enjoyed walking around their property and along the gravel road, which leads to it and runs alongside the clear waters of the South River. The most memorable moments of our stay involved the numerous animals that share the property. The deer (including many fawns), woodchucks, rabbits, and turkeys were plentiful, and we also saw several bald eagles. We are so grateful we had the opportunity to spend some time in such a wonderful place.

We came in for a reunion at W&L, and we absolutely loved our stay at Walapa’s! Her instructions for getting in were crystal clear. It’s a great space, and her garden is so peaceful and beautiful. We were traveling with two little children and she went above and beyond in accommodating us, setting up a crib and art table and providing books and toys. She even spent half an hour showing our toddler around the garden. We will definitely be staying here on our next visit to Lexington (as long as it’s available)!

This cabin is peaceful and comfortable. The beds were very comfy, the house is well stocked, and everything was as described. We would definitely love to stay here again.
