Rockley Beach : locations de vacances au bord de l'eau

Die Unterkunft ist ein Traum und hat unsere Erwartungen übertroffen. Wir haben uns direkt wohl und wie zu Hause gefühlt. Wir wurden in der Wohnung mit einem grandiosen Rumpunsch aus eigener Herstellung begrüßt, den wir auf dem Balkon bei Meeresrauschen genießen konnten. Die Grünanlage wird durch Gärtner gepflegt, wodurch sich auch einige Tierarten im Garten ansammeln (Raupen, Gekos, Glühwürmer) Durch die anliegenden Wohnungen kann man stets mit weiteren Urlaubern in Kontakt kommen, sofern gewünscht. Wäsche kann in der Anlage gewaschen werden. Im Schlafzimmer befindet sich die einzige Klimaanlage, was uns jedoch nicht gestört hat, da wir die Ventilatoren nutzten. Unsere Küche haben wir gerne zum Kochen genutzt. Unser persönliches Highlight war der direkt angrenzende Strand mit Meerzugang, den man zusätzlich vom Balkon aus genießen konnte. Das Barbadische Leben war mit dem Auto bestens erreichbar. Der Kontakt mit Lisa & Chris war super und beide sehr hilfsbereit bei Fragen oder Anliegen.

Lovely 2 bedroom/2 bath unit within the Glitter Bay property. The unit is under new ownership since we stayed there in March 2019 and its been completely and very well renovated since our last visit. White floors and comfy white living room and patio furniture, well equipped kitchen, nice bathrooms, good washer and dryer — everything felt and looked clean and well maintained. Only downside is that there is only one tv in the unit, in the living room; with older children traveling with us, it would have been nice if the bedrooms had televisions and the one in the living room had been a bit bigger. The unit has a nice view of the property and a peak of the ocean from the wonderful enormous covered terrace. There was housekeeping everyday but Sundays and they did an excellent job. For those who haven’t stayed at Glitter Bay before, the property is on one end of a lovely 1/2 mile white crescent beach with relatively calm waters — think snorkeling vs. boogie boarding. Lots of water activities (jet skis, sailing, kayaking) are easily available or can be arranged at the Fairmont. A small bar/restaurant is on site during the day and there is a beach attendant who provides beach/pool towels and, with your input, assigns you lounge chairs for your stay so there is no need to run down to the beach early in the day to put your stuff on beach chairs to “reserve” them; there are also plenty of umbrellas at the beach to provide shade during the heat to the day. For those who like swimming pools, there is a good sized pool for laps and kids to play in as well as a nice kiddie pool. Next door is the very high end Fairmont Royal Pavilion. While not cheap, they have a good restaurant for breakfast, lunch or dinner which overlooks the ocean. Farther down the beach is the Lonestar Hotel and Restaurant. It also serves a lovely breakfast, lunch and dinner by the beach but is a bit fancier than the restaurant at the Fairmont and quite pricy. It is easy to walk about a mile or take the public bus/drive/taxi into Holetown. There is a very well stocked Massey’s Supermarket, for those who need supplies and/or want to cook while staying at Glitter Bay, as well as a liquor store. Limegrove shopping center has a number of upscale show and restaurants. Good restaurants in Holetown include Nishi, The Mews, and Fusion Rooftop, with Paul Owen’s Beach House just outside of town. The area around Glitter Bay is relatively low density and low key compared to the areas closer to Bridgetown or Oistens. We really love it and hope to go back to Barbados and stay at Glitter Bay #207 again next year.

Had a great stay at Anthony's place great host and accomodations. Fantastic location walking distance to great beaches and restaurants would have no problem to stay again or reccomend his place. Thanks

The Crane Resort lived up to its reputation. The staff were engaging, friendly and a delight. The sea views were outstanding and what we dream of. From sunrise to moonlight it was breathtaking. Severally restaurants within the complex and more in easy walking distance. The rooms were spacious and very well appointed. Magnificent ocean views from every room. Just amazing❤️ We cannot say enough how much we loved our visit, our accommodations and the thoughtfulness of our hostess. Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful!!!

Outstanding property, amenities, host and property manager! I’ve been renting vacation properties all over the Caribbean for 20+ years and this has been by far, the best experience we’ve ever had! The property and the villa itself were immaculate. Everything in the villa looked new and worked perfectly. I was blown away by all the extra items that were provided. And to top things off, the view was absolutely stunning. The host Leon and the property manager Diana were just as amazing! Leon was quick to respond to any questions before and during our stay. He regularly checked in on me and my family and would proactively send me suggestions and recommendations for restaurants, and things to do. Diana met us at the property and gave us a very thorough tour of the villa and the rest of the property. She even took time to show us how to use some of the appliances. She was also very quick to respond to anything I asked. They really helped make our Barbados vacation special. Thank you both

My family of four had a wonderful stay at Todd & Barbara’s place. It was so peaceful. We felt very safe in the area. They also have a car you can rent which I recommend if you want to explore the island. There are plenty of food options that are close and a beautiful beach perfect for swimming just a few minutes walk down the road. Barbara arranged a taxi for us to the airport day of departure. We would definitely stay here again.

Vijay's place was great. Really nice apartment with a good location and a beautiful view. Although this unit is in a large building, it has it's own separate entrance and also has direct access to the pool via the sliding door in the downstairs bedroom (so, even though you're in a relatively big building, it feels like you're in a townhouse). The parking space is right next to the door of the condo, which is great, but, it's a bit of a tight squeeze so you may not want to rent a car with a wide wheelbase (we rented a Jimny which fit great because it's a narrow car).

Lex’s place had it all. There is a beautiful beach right outside the back door, it’s walkable to a grocery store, several cafes and bars and the Friday fish fry. We also could grab busses right outside the house to get to Bridgetown for more beaches and restaurants. Walking around felt safe (well lit) but of course be aware of your surroundings and the cars wiz by so be aware of where the sidewalks are. The beds were comfortable and there was plenty of space. We loved how there were lots of towels and pillows! The only thing to prepare for is that the second bedroom gets traffic noise so maybe bring earplugs if you’re sleeping in that room.

Turtle Reef has been my lengthy stay in Barbados for many years. We refer to it as our home from home. The decor is totally my taste and is totally conducive to why it suits myself and my special needs daughter. John and Shirley are the perfect hosts.

Salty Toes is a real gem! It is located close to a number of fabulous amenities including a grocery store and restaurants, while being literally right on the beach. There is nothing like waking up to the beautiful clear blue ocean on your doorstep and going in for a swim so easily.

We will go back to this exact location, loved the peaceful setting and private access to the beach.

Chris was a great host, very welcoming and responsive throughout our stay and was kind enough to accommodate our request on the last day. Place is exactly as per the photos, clean+had all the necessary items to make it a comfortable stay. We loved the fact that, although we were six adults, the space never felt small — loved the 2 bathrooms, and 2 separate showers + each room had a little en-suite vibe (working sink + mirror). The patio was spacious: the best hangout spot. Beautiful stretch of beach: very peaceful. Beach chairs were useful but very old, and some broken. The only downside of our stay, was that the six of us got eaten alive by the amount of mosquitoes/sand flies/no see-ums (not quite sure what it was) but in my 12 years of coming to Barbados (always around the same time) never had so many bites. No mosquito nets in the home. Reco: Highly recommend using mosquito repellent to avoid the pain. Overall would recommend this space for a great stay!

Superbe semaine! L’intérieur était encore mieux que sur les photos. Très propre et Alicia était très avenante. Cuisine très bien équipée, air climatisé partout, accessoires pour la plage fournis (chaises, parasol, serviette). La plage Thunder bay est de l’autre côté de la rue (rue très passante néanmoins). Belle plage animée avec bar et resto mais aussi de l’ombre (très appréciée avec des enfants). Merci pour la belle semaine!

Very friendly and communicative hosts! Beautiful ocean view from the front porch and convenient walking to beaches, local restaurants, cafes, and shopping. Would stay again!!

What an absolutely perfect holiday my family and I had. I would strongly urge whoever reads this to go ahead and book. Being located on a quiet beach with two fantastic bars on it, we had a great time. If you chose you can have three meals a day prepared for you, by a lovely lady that has worked at the property for over 25 years. If not there are many great bars and restaurants within a short drive and in some cases a short walk. There’s a security guard at night as well as a cleaner there in the day. The house it lovely, it’s got a very authentic feel about it. It could do with a little bit of TLC however the location of the property makes up for it. My only complaint would be that the Wi-Fi was unusable, so if you’re planning on working on your holiday then the beach bar next door has good internet or alternatively purchase a good mobile data plan.

We spent 11 great vacation days at the blue waters condo. We felt at home from the very first moment! It has enough space, is clean, well equipped, cozy garden, quietly located.... The location is also excellent, a short walk to our favorite beach, Oistins is also within walking distance. And the communication with Alicia worked great! 101 Palm Beach was a nice surprise. The condo matched the description on Airbnb and we couldn't have been any more pleased with our decision to book it. Realtors Limited was very responsive and contacted us shortly after we arrived to make sure everything was OK. They also provided a nice concierge service and connected us to a reliable and polite taxi driver. He was able to take us everywhere we wanted to go. I am very familiar with this area in the Barbados we were glad to call it home for 2 weeks. We will definitely try to book through Realtors Limited for next year.

Our Property Manager Preetam was amazing to work with. The property is new and beautiful. The unit was well decorated and the property is right in the beach! There is a pool on the roof and one in the ground floor. The staff at property was very friendly and accommodating. The building was pristine! We love being in St. Michaels. If you have a car, it’s a great location between the south coast and St, James. The unit was well stocked with basic food items and soft drinks and a small bottle of local Rum. There is a distillery within walking distance from the property and a water park in the bay with Jet Ski and Paddle Boards available for rent. Great Value, we will be back for sure! Highly recommend.

Lovely accommodation in a great location for St Lawrence Gap. Becky was brilliant with information and communication. Would definitely recommend and look to book again in the future!

Mary was so communicative and helpful both before and during our stay! She made visiting a new country a breeze. And that view just can’t be beat!

Rosann and Doug’s beautiful condo was just what we needed for a magical week in Barbados. It was spotless, the beds were comfortable, and the AC worked really well. The view of the ocean from the front was excellent. The pool was a great place to relax beside in the afternoon. The boardwalk out front made it easy to get to restaurants and a grocery store. To swim in the ocean, there are a few places out front to swim around a bit, but we went to Browne’s Beach every day, a short ZR bus trip down the road, where the swimming was great.

Peter’s place is in a lovely location and is bright and spacious. It is just like in the photos, but the view is even more spectacular. Peter is a responsive and hands on host. There is a bar across the street which played very loud music until 11 pm most nights we were there. It’s not something within the host’s control of course, but just wanted to raise this for other families. We enjoyed our stay!

Janet’s condo is beautiful. Spotlessly clean with a gorgeous view of the ocean from the large balcony. 2 large bedrooms, large lounge/kitchen. Very well appointed and lovely furnishings . Perfect for 4 people. Well equipped with everything we needed for our holiday. We all have thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Thankyou
