Lovely house in beautiful, peaceful surroundings. Andrew was super helpful and very quick to respond to any questions. The house was so private and tranquil, really good space to get away from it all. Would highly recommend.

Excellent stay! David was very helpful-meet us when we arrived, showed us around, even provided some basic needs like milk and bread. The place was very clean and comfortable. Washer/dryer was a challenge but David did warn us in advance to be proactive. It’s not far (20/30 min) from Roscommon tourist things to do and Carrick on Shannon. I would stay again for sure and would highly recommend!

Aoife & Shirley were fantastic hosts. We had booked their property travelling with work. Last minute booking and accommodating us was no problem. Made our guys feel so welcome and well looked after. Amazing property and hosts were a pleasure to deal with. Will definitely book if in the area again. Thank you so much!!

Gorgeous house and location! Host was lovely, very responsive. Renting the boat for the day was brilliant and so easy. Marc who helped with the boat was great and extremely helpful. Will definitely be back.

Perfect house for a family getaway. House has a stunning view of the lake. Vincent was very helpful and made us feel right at home with some lovely touches such as fresh scones, cream, milk & wine. I would highly recommend for a quiet weekend away.

A beautiful spot right on the Shannon with great river views. Everything and more you would need for your stay was provided, and the host was available for anything else you may require. Lovelely hosts, lovely property and lovely location.

Michael and Nicola have a beautiful home in rural Ireland, surrounded by beautiful gardens and bordering on the water. They were extremely flexible with check-in, even despite our very late arrival. We loved meeting the two dogs and found the local information extremely helpful. I'd particularly like to thank them for the hypo-allergenic pillow option, this was great for one of our guests! I highly recommend their place and wish we could stay again.

Gerry was such a great host. Very friendly and communicative. He was flexible with both check-in and check-out and he made himself available at all times. He was based nearby the property so I knew we could call on him if we needed to. The place was spotless and perfect for a couple! We will be back!

We enjoyed our stay in the spacious and well equipped house that our host Philip arranged for us (due to the power loss cause by a storm in the original house, Philip suggested a Carrick self catering house in Carrick-on-Shannon). Located right in the center, we had a private parking, pubs and restaurants at our doorstep and a view on the beautiful Carrick marina. Philip was very friendly and helped us feel super welcome. All in all, a nice cosy house in a perfect central location.

We used google maps to route to Hanleys Marina but unfortunately did not receive the arrival instructions so we didn't know which buttons to press at the gate. Eventually the Marina gate opened and we found a fellow inside to call our host. Someone came over right away to help us access the property. Since I didn't have an Irish phone number, they lent us a phone to call and open the main gate as we came and went. This airbnb was spacious and modern. The beds were very comfortable, the kitchen had everything that we needed to make a light meal, the laundry was efficient, and we loved watching the DVDs. It's within 10 minutes walk of groceries and restaurants. Overall, a fantastic stay and I'd definitely book again!

Hanleys Marina is a beautiful location which is ideal for exploring both Longford and Roscommon. The apartment was very comfortable and clean, and had everything you would need. The host was very helpful and responsive! I would definitely recommend.

We had such an amazing stay! The location is absolutely stunning, beautiful lake. The house is immaculate and very homely with everything that we needed throughout our stay! We had paid for use of the boat too so many early mornings out rowing and fishing!! So nice to be able to have this option. Very peaceful. Hosts were so responsive and helpful. Very quick reply’s from them on this app. Also they bought us some croissants for our first morning in the house - Such a lovely touch and very kind!! Really lovely people!!! 100% recommend- we will be visiting again!!! Thank you both!!

We stayed at Jim's cottage on the 2nd leg of our tour of Ireland, the peace & quiet of this area as well as the local history was much appreciated. We were able to visit two of the O'Rourke castle sites as well as O'Rourke's Table which was a pretty streneous hike but well worth the effort, I only regret not having more time to explore & fish the many canals & lakes in the area. Overall the cottage was nearly perfect for our stay & would definately recommend! Thanks, Jim & Erin Paul Roark

What a beautiful place! We found the house easily and met John Jo and Marion who showed us to the cottage. Great to hear the history and how it’s been in the family for so long! The kitchen has all you’d need but as we only had a couple of nights we only used the toaster and kettle. The hosts had kindly left bread, milk and biscuits! The beds are really comfy and cosy. Bathroom is spacious and as I always base accommodation on the shower, this gets full marks. They’ve managed to get a decent shower into an old world bathroom. I’d have loved to have bought the big old sink home with me!! We had a walk around the farm to see the cattle and horses. On our last day we were invited in for a cuppa and a chat with John Jo and Marion. I’d been on an ancestor hunt and they’d given me so many tips. Such a shame they’re not my long lost family! A great and beautiful place, perfect to wind down from a busy world and relax. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Our stay at the schoolhouse was fantastic! The house and grounds are beautiful, offering both comfort and amazing views. What made the experience even more special was Marie’s incredible hospitality - everything is thought of and she is most helpful in every way. We will surely be back soon.

Beautiful location and a beautiful cottage. It was spotless and loads of little bits left out for our four legged companion. A short walk to the village. We will be back in the future.
