We had an amazing few days at the most beautiful location and house! The hosts were very accommodating and helpful with all requests. The house was beautiful and fitted our three families perfectly. The location couldn't be better, and the kids loved riding their bikes out front and walk down to the playground. We loved being able to swim right at the doorstep and jump on the boat with ease. An amazing place!

Nancy's place is in a casual but quiet neighbourhood and right on the lake with wonderful views. The house was very clean and Nancy was a great communicator.

We had an amazing time at Gary's and Jude's place. The house was private, spacious, and well-equipped including Kayaks. It was pet and family friendly with a fully fenced deck and a breath-taking view over Lake Tarawera. The swimming and fishing was great! We loved every minute of our stay.

Delightful spot. Beautiful setting. We had a cozy 3 day stay. Lovely character home, with a great set up for winter. Warm beds and great fire place made it super comfortable and easy to enjoy. We would love to come back in the summer and experience the lake again.

Loved our stay in this fabulous house. The views are just fantastic and there are seating areas arranged to take advantage. The furniture and bedding are super comfortable and Gail was a great host. If you’re looking for a good base for Rotorua and the surrounding area I’d definitely recommend this place.

We stayed five nights with our children (4 and 5 years). The location is perfect! It’s close to everything in and around Rotorua, but it’s located in a very calm, peaceful and beautiful place. We loved the house and the location right by the lake. We unfortunately had quite bad weather with lots of rain, but it was a really nice house to stay in even in bad weather. The house is very comfortable and have everything you need! Communication with the host went smoothly. Would definitely recommend!!

Cool place to spend the weekend on the lake with boat jetty access

Staying at Lucy's was like being in a dream. The perfect, idyllic, lakeside Kiwi-bach, this place matches all descriptions and photos. This place has everything - from a cozy fireplace, to kayaks to explore the lake and a modern bathroom, our family absolutely enjoyed staying here. There was a lot to do and keep yourself entertained with, we didn't struggle with having no wifi. The location is great, only 30 minutes to Rotorua and a lot of places to sightsee on the way there. The only downside of this place is that since it's close to the road there is some traffic noise, especially when big trucks go by. It wasn't an issue for us when staying there since we're city dwellers and accompanied to traffic noise, but if you're a light sleeper definitely bring ear plugs.

This place has great views of the lake. We only spend one night and all went well.

The most caring host I’ve ever dealt with on Airbnb, very understanding and kind, this will be the only place I’ll come back to stay at when I’m back with my family in Rotorua, next time my wife will do all the booking ;) lol

This is the second time we have stayed at the lake house in Lake Tarawera, We couldn't recommend it enough! Such an awesome spot if you have a boat or jetskis , If not they have kayaks you are welcome to use. Playground is about a 3-5 minute walk for the kids, Tennis Court is right at your door step. All the neighbors are very friendly and make you feel right at home. If your thinking about booking don't think about it just book it you will have an amazing time!

We had a wonderful stay and the space catered for all our needs. Tarawera is a magical spot, and this venue allowed us time together without WiFi and the busyness of city life. The reserve and swings, trampoline and bbq area were major bonuses. Thank you for opening this special space for us to use. We recommend for families who love nature and the beauty that Tarawera has to offer!

Great old school batch that felt very chill. Awesome to get to use the kayaks and lovely walks nearby. Added bonus was the toy box and the box of duplo which made the stay so much easier with the kids!
