Routt County : chambres d'hôtel

I was notified that they were unable to accommodate the day before we were supposed to check in. They provided me a phone number which I called and they promptly rebooked me to the steamboat grand. They were very helpful in providing me a different but comparable accommodation.

Place was great. The pull out couch was even comfortable enough for an adult. I would stay here again.

Id definitely stay there again. Fully satisfied with stay and price was competitive with any other option in the area.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The room was very comfortable and nicely furnished. The provided drink token was a nice idea but the tavern was closed in the evening of our arrival and we were not able to use in the morning for an expresso drink in the morning which seemed weird. The hot tub was clean and very nice. This was a perfect situation for traveling with our pet as there was plenty of open land behind the hotel near the ski lift to let her out. I did have some issue with our final bill as we had already paid ahead through Airbnb and a $22 fee was added at the end as a “resort fee + tax.” We didn’t eat or drink anything in the room and were not told that we would be charged extra for the dog. It was just a surprise and not explained to us on check in.

We had dinner at apres burger bistro, the food was good. They have fitness room with free weights and squat rack. We had short drive to strawberry springs for the day!

We were extremely happy with the accommodation and location. One minor negative was trying to find our building in the dark. We arrived by shuttle and the clubhouse staff were very nice and provided us with a map of the property, but there was no clear signage from the clubhouse walking to the building so it still took us a few minutes trying to find the entry. The kitchen was well set up and we really appreciated the brand new sealed dish sponge for our stay. It would have been nice to also have some sort of spray cleaner to keep the kitchen counters and stove clean after cooking. We very much appreciated the ski shuttle, but were disappointed that the property was not on the public steamboat shuttle service route. We did not have a car so walked to the grocery store in the dark and took an Uber back. Overall our stay was great and we would book this property again. Natalia was great at communicating with us in the months and weeks leading up to our stay!
