Absolutely beautiful and lovely peaceful location, Billy was very nice and helped us get the fire lit for the hot tub, as wasn’t lit like we’d hoped but was ready by the evening. A couple of things to mention, one of the saucepans wasn’t clean, neither was the tea towel. The host was a little unresponsive on check in and we didn’t get check in info until an hour before. Otherwise, we absolutely loved it, had a magical weekend away and the area is very cute with the farm animals nearby and the pub and little shops. The brekky at the cow and plough was absolutely delish!! Also advice for others staying, bring towels / bath mat as there is no bath mat and only 2 towels, which when in and out of the hot tub you might need another! We would definitely come again, the people were so lovely, they even gave us some extra firewood! The hut is just so toasty and cosy and was exactly what we’d hoped for.

A great stay in Adam’s gorgeous house. Kitchen was really well equipped, beds comfy and great shower. The village is really pretty and Stamford only a short drive away. Would definitely recommend; we were 4 friends but would be great for a couple of families too.

amazing stay really private and hit tub was really nice, relaxing with the log burner and Sylvia even made a homemade cake for us included in the birthday package, got the flowers requested and decorated really nicely including a bottle of champagne! really nice house would definitely stay again!

Lovely house and location, was ideal for all ages in the party. Amenities were very good and enjoyed using the hot tub. Slight problem finding the house when following the satnav but was able to contact the host quickly who gave perfect directions. would recommend to anyone wanting to visit the area.

What a great place to stay! A lot of attention to detail which goes a long way. The check in instructions were so clear and with photos which made it so easy to find. The cottage is off the main road and would be difficult to find without them. Little things like having an extension lead next to the bedroom mirror for straightners and hardryer, coffee pods for the coffee machine, toiletries, robes for the hot tub and wood for the fire are lovely touches that made the stay really special. Everything was lovely and clean, and all the kitchen basics supplied. Including plastic cups for the hot tub. Hot tub was great, garden was very private and not overlooked. Heating in the cottage was good as well. Nothing worse than getting out of a hot tub when its cold outside!

From the moment we booked Amber has proven to be an amazing Host with clear and precise instructions along with the feel that nothing would be too much trouble. The welcome feel we got when we entered the property was amazing. Beautiful log fire burning away, underfloor heating and a beautiful welcome pack of goodies were all waiting for us. The property is out of this world and the quality shone all around. We also ventured out to the nearby Griffin Pub which was superb and well worth a visit. Mark and Sarah were very friendly and super helpful! The home was spotless and very cosy, the hot tub was an absolute must. The instructions provided were very useful and there was plenty of suggestions for what to do in the area. Thank you for the welcome gifts and for the great hospitality, we would definitely come back!

The host messaged us with all the details we needed. There was nothing we needed to ask the host at all due to the very close instructions! Overall great stay, very peaceful and exactly as advertised on the website!

We had to cut our stay short due to a family illness and Sarah was very good to refund our unused nights. Cottage is in beautiful Easton on the Hill which is very close to Stamford. Very cosy and warm and lovely fully enclosed garden for our dogs. Thank you

We had a brilliant stay in Mage-Tout Mansion. Place was spotless and we felt at home straight away. Beautiful scenery. We’d definitely stay here again.

From the outset Stephens communication was excellent, including some brilliant local recommendations which we took up and thoroughly enjoyed. The place is amazing and the photos don't do it justice. There is amazing decoration and art everywhere and the amenities and facilities are first rate. Thoughtful touches abound especially in the kitchen and bathroom which were very well stocked and pristinely presented. We followed Iggy Pup's guide to local dog friendly places and dined excellently at both the Grainstore and Fika (if that's basic I can't imagine what full service could be!) All told an exceptional weekend stay from which we have returned fully relaxed and raring to come again!

We loved staying at Norfolk Cottage, it was spacious but cosy and had everything we could have possibly wished for! Garden was perfect for the dog, safe and enclosed. Super comfy beds, lovely linen, just perfect! Would highly recommend! Thank you for being so accommodating Michelle and it was nice to meet Billy too 😀

Kathryn’s cottage was absolutely perfect! Spotlessly clean, probably the cleanest Airbnb we have had the pleasure to stay in. The kitchen was well equipped and beds and linen extremely comfortable. We were very fortunate with the weather and were able to enjoy the lovely garden and surrounding area. Our thanks to Kathryn for a wonderful stay and we would go back in a heartbeat.

We had a superb stay over Christmas. The cottage was really well appointed, snug cosy lounge with iglenook fireplace, very comfortable beds and bedding and wonderful views from front and back. Melissa has thought of everything and made the cottage extremely nice. We hope to return another year.

Lovely place to stay. Very quiet and peaceful village with a local shop just a short walk from the house. Rebecca’s place had everything I needed. The bed was very comfortable and the house was clean and tidy.

This comfortable cottage is a great place to stay for a short break in beautiful Oakham. It is right in the middle of the town yet quiet and very well appointed. The town and surrounding area of Rutland Water is very attractive and Stamford is nearby so there is plenty to do for everyone. I will definitely go back to explore this lovely part of the Cotswolds some more.

We had a great stay. Everything was as described on the website and in the photo's. Lovely quiet location, ideal area for quiet walks and exploring the local market towns. The house had good facilities, plenty of crockery, towels etc and a nice homely feel. Having two sitting rooms was a bonus. We went in winter and enjoyed the open fires too. Definitely recommend.

Great central location, cute tidy place great for exploring Stamford and right on the river so has great views out of the kitchen and bathroom windows. Perfect size for a couple and once parked you don’t need your car as everything is walkable as right in the centre of town. Parking only £4.20 for a full weekend so isn’t a cost to worry about. Would stay again if visiting Stamford again.

A really lovely stay! The accomodation is really tastefully decorated and well furnished. A beautiful spot for watching the sunrise and for retreating in the countryside with a woodburner.

Characterful property in great location for central Stamford and Burghley House. Highly recommend restaurant at Stamford Garden Centre for lovely meals and fabulous takeaway cakes.

This was our second stay at The Stables, and it was just as blissful as the first. It was the perfect place to hunker down for a few days of doing nothing in between Boxing Day and New Year’s Eve … the holy grail of cosy and spacious, so thoughtfully appointed, high ceilings with rain battering on the roof, squishy velvet sofa by the Christmas tree, and of course Geoff’s home-made ice cream. Hard to convey just how special this place is. Plus a walk around the village at dusk with tree lights twinkling from every window made us fall in love with this little corner of the world even more. Once again … we’ll be back!

A fantastic place to say! The accommodation had everything you could need, felt cosy and was in a perfect location for exploring the local area. Walks right from the doorstep and Fiona was on hand to provide brilliant recommendations. If we are back in the area we would definitely stay here again.
