We had a great stay - the house is peaceful, quiet, clean, and especially cosy with the woodburner on! Richard and Jo were excellent hosts, very friendly and accommodating, and offered great advice on places to visit nearby with our two small children. We all slept amazingly well (very unusual with a 1 and 3 year old); the beds were comfy and it was so quiet. The house is well set up for visiting with toddlers - there are toys, books, stair gates etc. and the large garden is great to let them run around in. We would absolutely return, especially in the summer to really make use of the beautiful garden.

I came here for my 23rd birthday with my friends as we wanted a chill Christmas atmosphere and we got exactly that! The owners were very kind a friendly and went over and above for us! The only negative is that there is nothing around and if you want to walk to a pub, restaurants or shops it’s either a 1hour+ or a deep dive walk in a forest or field… this was difficult as we had 6 people and one car. But I everything was amazing we will be coming back again!

Great location for exploring Stamford and surrounding area. House was as in the details. Check in and out was easy. Communication with the host, Tamara, was great. Very likely to book again.

Super nice place, better than the photos look actually and clearly a family home. Very clean, nice touches in the house, all beds comfy, well supplied with everything really. And just solid reliable Comms from Nick which was great and answered a couple questions promptly. Would highly recommend 👍

We spent nearly two weeks as we were visiting family. Oakham is a lovely village and very central for exploring the Midlands. Jenni’s place was perfect for our stay as we had a car. Given it wasn’t in the centre of Oakham, it was more affordable and in a lovely neighbourhood. The house itself was decorated with character and had everything we needed for my three teenagers and they were particularly excited by the PlayStation. The enclosed verandah/conservatory was a lovely place to sit and looks into the lovely garden. We cooked many meals in and the kitchen has everything you need to enjoy cooking and a lovely big dining table in the conservatory. Jenni and her manager Olly were very responsive and helpful. I would definitely recommend and stay here again.

We booked the OLd Plough for a get together with old friends. We booked all 3 properties which was ideal. The pantry had a very comfortable lounge perfect for 8 of us to convene. The kitchen was well equipped with glasses, crockery etc. There were games and books available. We dined at the Plough which was over the road. It had a great selection of food at a reasonable price. The staff were extremely friendly. All in all a great stay and good value.

Kitty's Airbnb is extremely cosy with everything you could possibly need for a comfortable stay. I would definitely recommend and would stay again.

We had a wonderful stay at 10 The Maltings, just wish it had been for longer. Lovely spacious property, lots of storage, fantastic location and added bonus of a sunny roof terrace. The hosts were so patient, helpful and very accommodating. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend this property and can't wait to return. Thank you so much.

We were delighted with our stay at Emily’s place. The house was perfect with a lovely garden that was enjoyed by our dog as well as us! Perfect to have a a friendly pub next door and easy to walk through the pretty town of Uppingham. It was also easy to get to various starting points for walks around Rutland Water. We highly recommend this cottage.

We had a wonderful week here, it’s walkable to town and had everything we needed in the property.

Lovely stay house has everything you need and is very comfortable

Wonderful base for family gatherings or a holiday in the countryside. Even in rainy weather we so enjoyed the view and being able to go for extended walks. Abigail was such a welcoming host and gave us ideas for excursions as well as information on the history of the area. Indulged our fascination with the rural setting as city folks and let us feed the chickens. We had a fantastic time cooking and entertaining. The kitchen with its large dining table and the generous living rooms are great for sharing time together and the quietness of the surroundings are so relaxing. In fine weather the garden must be very enjoyable, but even on wet days it is lovely to look out at the pretty grounds and observe the sheep grazing close by.

Great location on a quiet street. Walkable in the winter weather to the train station, grocery store and all Stamford has to offer! All the kitchen amenities you could want. En Suite bathrooms a huge plus. Two comfortable living rooms with TVs to relax. Great space in the open kitchen, dining, & living room. Vacuum and cleaning supplies were accessible during our two week stay (which is another plus). Clear instructions & communication. Would recommend if staying in Stamford!
