Lucie's place is amazing, I felt at home the whole time. It's very close to the beach, but it was hard to leave the house as it was so homey! We came back from the beach to enjoy the sauna, which is a huge plus. 10/10 experience, we'll be back :)

We were so impressed with Pura Vida by the Sea. Deborah’s lovely home is at the top of our list, as it was wonderfully clean, comfortable and cosy. We noticed the special touches and attention to detail - even an apron supplied in the kitchen! We only stayed two nights and would have loved longer. Beds are extremely comfortable, decor is lovely and the view of the bay is glorious! A very quiet home and handy to the beach walkway. We did not get around to using the outdoor bath but it looked very inviting! We highly recommend staying in this home.

Cheryl's place is the perfect place for a relaxing break. Lovely walks along the waterfront or just sit back and watch the beautiful views from the whole living area and main bedroom. Only noise you hear is the sea as you are so close. The house is set up with everything you need for a longer stay, I stayed 4 nights. Has many things I did not make use of this time as the evenings were a little cool (but lovely and warm inside - woodburner and heatpump) but next time I will try them out. The bbq, outside fire and huge deck area would be fabulous on a sunny evening. I will definitely be back again.

Me and friends had the best stay, being right on the beach was exactly what we needed! Had everything we needed, we all loved that it had a fire pit plus beautiful views of the sea! Will definitely come stay again!! Was quite an old place but made it more homely we were outside most the time as the weather really out it on for us! But love an old batch/crib! Thanks again

Great location, peaceful and lovely settings

Would totally stay again - my husband and I came here to refresh from camping for a while. Everything was so clean, the bed was comfy, the environment was peaceful, definitely go to gemstone beach! A good off-the-beaten track in NZ stop. Host was also kind and helpful - thank you! ❤️❤️❤️

Exceeded our expectations. Spacious, very comfortable, well equipped, and modern facilities. Everything exceptionally clean linen, room, crockery etc. Uli was a great host: welcoming and only to happy to assist where possible (without being intrusive). Great base for Hump Ridge walk whether a day walk or full circuit. Uli and her cottage are highly recommended - we will definitely be back.

We walked in with heater on. A fresh loaf of bread. Milk, butter in the fridge, and spreads in the drawer. The Nespresso coffee machine was a delight. Jenny's place is absolute perfection. It has everything you could possibly need. So clean, comfortable and plenty of space. We loved our stay. Very quiet and peaceful, with a short drive to the city center. Also, plenty of parks and Queens Park, right on the door step. Our main purpose in Invercargill was to see the World's Fastest Indian, the Transport Museum and Motorcycle Mecca.(so close). But we went to Bluff, the tip of New Zealand and it was only 30 minutes from Jenny's. There was so much to see and do. Jenny is a sensational host. I can't believe how little she charges for what you get. We highly recommend staying at Villa Lane. Thank you so much Jenny.
