We stayed two nights at the chalet to go birding in the Lake Baringo area. Safe and tranquil spot with lots of birds, including a hornbill that visited our house both mornings that we were there. Kitchen is well-equipped but keep in mind that in Kenya it is common to have refrigerators unplugged until guests arrive so maybe don’t bring a ton of items that need to be refrigerated (we brought some and it was fine but we didn’t load up the fridge). The host would probably be happy to plug in the fridge if you communicate in advance that you will need it right away. The chalet was very clean, but living in the desert there will always be insects so be prepared for a couple harmless common wall spiders and a couple of their friends. There were mosquito nets for both beds. WiFi was excellent. Hot showers! The hosts will offer to arrange tours for you when you arrive which is nice but we politely declined this time. All in all the chalet was a great place for a self-drive birding stop.

Lovely place to stay, quite off the beaten Naivasha track. Great area, very handy for lake oleidon and Crater Lake (good 2hr hike in a wonderful location). It was a lovely little cabin. Just be aware that it's more for three than four (second double bed is small) and you need to bring drinking water. Frankie was a great host and we'd stay there again.
