We loved Casa Julia for it's peaceful and natural beauty. This place is gorgeous and feels very private and out of the tourist area of San Marcos. The house is spacious and the views of lake Atitlan and San Pedro Volcano are spectacular. It's a great place to just hang out and relax. Markus was present to give us the initial tour and made us feel at home. He was available for any of our questions but gave us our privacy. The house is up on a hillside just outside of San Marcos town and it is a short walk of about one half mile to town. The steps are long and it is a ways up to the house and that is what gives it its privacy and remote feeling. This house is not for the older people who cannot climb stairs easily and it is not for young children as there is a fair bit of fall risk from the front yard/patio. We highly recommend Casa Julia and hope to be back.

This place exceeded our expectations, it was even more beautiful than the photos! The living space is spacious and breathtaking, with a stunning yard that offers an unobstructed view of the volcano. The kitchen was fantastic, and we loved spending our evenings cooking dinner and grilling on the barbecue. Every night, we used the temazcal (like a sauna), which made our stay even more special. Lesley and the groundskeeper were incredibly responsive, kind, and made us feel right at home. Lesley also shared local recommendations and kept us informed about daily events in San Marcos. An unforgettable stay, we wish we could have stayed longer!

The house, the lake, the views, the staff…all absolutely incredible! The house is ideally located within 5-10 mins walking or quick tuk tuk to San Marcos, and equipped with everything you need - pool, hottub, kayaks, loads of cooking supplies, more than enough towels etc. The rooms were huge, beds comfy and the caretakers available to help with anything and everything. The hosts were super responsive and the chef for hire cooked amazing meals. San Marcos has the cleanest water for swimming, and the national park with cliffs to jump or swim from is just a short walk or kayak away. The entire stay, just like the lake, was magical for our family of 5 (2 adults, 9 yo, two 7 yos) and not one we will ever forget!

We stayed for 10 days and had a wonderfully relaxing time. Initially, we thought the description meant we could see the lake from where we stayed but it is really visible from the garden with a beautiful place to sit. The house is very comfortable and plenty of hot water etc. It felt very homelike, not a typical airbnb and we were very very happy there. Leisa even let us use her big kitchen oven to bake a cake and roast veggies although the one with the Casita was perfectly adequate for most things. Jaibalito is quiet, no doubt about it but there’s an easy hike to Santa Cruz if you want more excitement! Indigo bistro in front of the house is a great place to eat also.

Nuestra experiencia en casa de Nathalia fue sencillamente increíble. Estar en la casa nos permitió conectar con la energía del lugar y disfrutar de unas vistas, amaneceres y atardeceres que pagaron toda nuestra estadía. La atención de Nathalia fue clave para poder vivir una experiencia inolvidable y el apoyo de su equipo, quienes son lugareños de Jaibalito, nos hicieron la estancia aún mejor. Siempre recordaremos a Nicko, Venturo, Marina, Zulema y a cada uno de los pobladores que nos hicieron sentir como en casa.

The place was very nice, everything clean well put together, the kitchen came with alot of household items, coffee, cooking oil, plates , everything you would need.The view of the lake was beautiful, the outside little patio was a nice hangout spot for a coffee and to relax. Diego was very friendly, helpful and understanding. Responded quickly and had answers right away, provided us with transportation from the dock to the house and as our own little private tour guide around the lake. Very satisfied with the stay, do recommend to book with Diego and Oasis, definitely would come stay again! Thanks again Diego and Oasis for everything. Ask for Chema if your looking for some quick transportation around the area, very friendly, knows his way around.

Beautiful home to be in touch with nature. Beautiful scenic views of the mountains. Location is private in a quiet town, with not much things to do, perfect for those who want quietness. Take note that theres a large amount of rocky steps before entering the home, however staff and helpers are available to help with luggage. Since the home is in the middle of nature, there are many bugs, but are harmless. Would recommend to shop for food before entering town, or communicate with the staff to set up cooking services a few days before. Host and staff were extremely helpful with accommodating us and connecting us to a personal boat driver, where we were able to visit the other towns. Instructions were clear and communication was great! Overall enjoyed my peaceful stay at the Seed.

Me gustó mucho y es igual que en las fotos, solo tomar en cuenta que no hay muelle privado, es una playa pública donde hay muchas ventas, buses y lanchas. De lo contrario todo bien y muy buena estadía !! Los anfitriones muy buenos y respondían rápido

Es totalmente como las fotos sin duda volveríamos, ideal para descansar y salir de la rutina la casa es muy limpia y cuenta con todas sus comodidades

We had a fantastic stay at the property . The scenery and setting of this property is just serene . We were a group of 10 with adults and kids . The kids loved the place so much that they refused to even leave the property . Had a very restful 3 days of Christmas . We stayed over the Christmas break and walked to a nearby local church for the midnight service . Don Miguel ,,George and Theresa ( the helpers on the property ) were always available and very helpful . I wanted to leave a word of appreciation for Sylvia . She is super helpful and very responsive . Was always available to answer questions and provide a lot of helpful recommendations . By far the best Airbnb host that I have interacted with . Overall a wonderful experience

La villa estaba hermosa, bastante equipada, los muebles eran finos, camas cómodas, con un jardín enfrente y muy cerca del lago, la verdad sí volvería a ir.

Nous passe une excellente semaine chez Marion. L’emplacement est idéal: proche de l embarcadère et de la rue Santander, cela permet de visiter les autres villages du lac. Le studio est grand, bien équipé et chaleureux. Eau chaude. Cuisine bien équipée. Belle terrasse.

Fueron muy finos y amables en todo momento, me apoyaron con las consultas y aunque el lago no está a la par como algunos esperan tampoco está tan retirado y es accesible incluso si llevan niños o algún adulto mayor 🫶🧡

Es una estadía con una ubicación muy buena, las habitaciones y sus instalaciones están muy limpias y sobre todo son muy agradables para el ambiente familiar, perfecto para una escapada ya que también tiene su muelle para poder visitar en lancha los pueblitos más hermosos de Guatemala, San Juan la Laguna y Panajachel, quiero agradecer a Jean por su amabilidad y comprensión en todo momento.

Gorgeous natural build in the forest above the lake. Great amenities for a remote location. Can walk or take affordable local transport (boat or tuk-tuk) to any of the surrounding lake towns. Restaurants within walking distance. Safe neighborhood for a female solo traveler.

The house is very beautiful. A lovely design and filled with beautiful touches and artwork. An amazing view off the veranda, and the gardens are relaxing and full of birds. We all enjoyed the clean pool very much too. Overall it was an amazing place to relax and recharge. There is a walk up to the local village of Santa Clara or tuk tuks to take you up the hill, and the village has a produce market on Saturdays. We also recommend CECAP for great meals with the best view, as well as fair trade traditional handicrafts. It was easy to get a boat at the public dock. It’s probably easiest to arrange your own driver and boat to the private dock as then it’s easy to contact them if they do not turn up or know where to go (problems we had through no fault of the host). Definitely shop in Pana as the shops are very small in Santa Clara. Be aware it was hazy every day for 6 days and apparently this is common in April (or other months too?) because of cane burning. This place is really lovely. close to dining options, incredible view and landscaping. we loved the outdoor fireplace too! David and Daniel were on the spot with recommendations, travel arrangements etc. can't recommend more highly!

Muy bonito el lugar, las fotos no le hacen justicia… pasamos un buen momento como familia, el servicio estuvo bueno, las instalaciones bien cuidadas, limpias, tranquilas y disfrutas de la naturaleza… Pd. vale la pena pagar por la climatización de la piscina
