Great little spot very quiet and comfortable

We absolutely loved our stay here. Beautiful place surrounded by nature. We loved the garden, hot tub and bbq area. Amilcar and his wife were so friendly and helpful a during our stay. It’s a perfect place for a couple or a four person trip. The internet was excellent, we worked online all week with no issues. Thank you to Amilcar for your hospitality! We will be back :)

We absolutely loved our stay here. The views were beautiful, and the hosts were very helpful. Location is in a perfect spot and plenty of things to do. I will definitely be staying here when I come back to Costa Rica!

The house is lovely and cozy, and the view is amazing. The road there was rougher than we expected, but nothing too bad. Our second day was somewhat inconvenient, but Lauren kept communication open and solved the problems for us. Still thankful they accommodated us, as it was a last-minute trip.

Lugar según los mostrado en el anuncio. Muy bien equipada. instrucciones fáciles, claras y muchas recomendaciones. Buena privacidad y tranquilidad para despejarse. Sitio rústico pero con muchas amenidades para disfrutar la estancia.

We are a couple that like peaceful out of the way places. This place was rustic with a terrific view. Bit of a rough road for a small car but we did it no problem. Loved the 2nd floor deck for morning coffee. The birds were great (Toucans) Jim and Joan

That view! It’s a bumpy road getting there but worth it! Our family of four enjoyed our stay. It was so incredibly relaxing. The sunsets and the two horses really made it for us. You can relax on the front porch, have a bonfire, walk the trails, make a nice meal. A few tips - the final 4 mins up to the house are rocky. You won’t need a 4x4 in the dry season but the rocks are large so a high clearance vehicle will help. It’s 15-20 mins to get into town for a meal (and bumpy) so we brought groceries with us for the first night. Even a bag of carrots for Tornado and Jack. Also, Google maps navigated to the house really well. Silvio helped arrange a night tour with Michael Monteverde Wildlife Reserve. That was really amazing! Thanks for the awesome home, we loved it!

Silvia is an amazing host! She is friendly, has a lot of recommendations for activities and she even books these activities for you if you want! We did three activities booked by her and we loved them all. The house is located a short drive from La Fortuna. The house itself is beautiful and has a nice garden where you can enjoy nature. The only little negative point I have is that the kitchen table is narrow and that the accompanying chairs have no backrest. This is also visible in the pictures on the ad, so it was not a surprise. All in all, I would totally recommend this house and Silvia as a host!

Die Unterkunft ist sehr schön für jeden, der etwas Besonderes sucht, abseits von Touri-Zentren. Für die Anfahrt würden wir eher ein geländetaugliches Auto empfehlen. Wir konnten einige Vögel beobachten und die Geräusche des Dschungels den ganzen Tag waren bezaubernd. Einzig der Regen in der Nacht war durch das dünne Blechdach sehr laut und noch durch die Ohrstöpsel deutlich zu hören. Wer einen leichten Schlaf hat, sollte das in der Regenzeit beachten.

Lovely cabin with beautiful surrounding garden. Helpful host picked us up from San Jose and brought us to the cabin. Only negative aspect of our stay was the construction next door but that is outside of their control. Would recommend if looking for peaceful surroundings.

Ich habe mich in der Unterkunft sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Fenster rund um das Bett mit Blick in den Wald waren mein Highlight. Nur schade, dass die Bäume inzwischen so hoch sind, dass man nicht, wie auf den Fotos, den Vulkan vom Bett aus sehen kann. Die Unterkunft war mit viel Liebe zum Detail hergerichtet. Nur der Kühlschrank hatte leider einen sehr unangenehmen Geruch.

It is very off the beaten path, but we knew that when we booked. I did feel like it was safe. The road in was fine for us without four wheel drive but it didn’t rain hard while we were there. It takes about 30 minutes to get to Pure Trek/Hot Springs area. This is the only downside. We would do our activities for the day and go back for the night. Lara’s Food in Chachagua has great fried chicken! The place is absolutely beautiful. The setting was worth the drive for us. Irene has added many thoughtful touches in and around the house. We didn’t see sloths or toucans on the property, but we learned on guided tours that we aren’t very good at spotting them! We did see lots of lizards, including a big basilisk, and bullfrogs around the pool at night, and heard and saw lots of birds. We also saw tiny bats that were so cute! The river, birds, and insects make the most enchanting surrounding. It’s a wonderful place!

Gerardo’s place was fantastic! We had a blast! Independent how great our daily activity was on any on the days, we always looked forward getting back to the house. The place was very quiet and private surrounded with beautiful trees. Leaves were cleaned; everything was pleasant. House is also surrounded with gravel, so the place must be very comfortable and not muddy in rainy season as well. There was no AC, but interestingly, we did not feel the need for one. Slept with open windows and with a fan on; it was great. The kitchen was simple, yet was always capable of making nice breakfasts. Grocery store was very close, less than 5 min drive. Every morning enjoyed the great view of trees. My kids saw exotic animals at the river. The pool was very clean and great for chilling off at the end of the day. Danny was very sweet and always helpful. Gerardo offered nice breakfast for us!! The food his wife made for us was just amazing! I will definitely go back again and 100% recommend the place

EL SOL is extraordinarily beautiful! It's hard to describe how special it is- the gorgeous natural surroundings, the wonderful food, the unique and refreshing pool and the beautiful mountains surrounding the area. I could have stayed a long time and regret that our stay was so short. Thank you Susanne and Javier for such a wonderful time and the attention and love you have put into EL SOL! We will be back!

What a wonderful place! Hiidden in the mountains of La Palmera Alejandros cabina is not quite easy to find, but we finally found the spot and it was far beyound our expectations. Great view, modern equipment, quiet and peaceful. The cabin is close to several hotsprings and was one of the best places on our 7-weeks Costa Rica trip. Thanks Alejandro for such a unique location!

It was a very peaceful location. Beautiful garden, lots of wildlife. Diego had great recommendations for restaurants, local hikes and activities. Short drive to La Fortuna Waterfall , El Salto rope swing and El Choyin Hot Springs. Would stay here again.

Alexander was a very helpful host. We had an opportunity to stay in two different units and both were to go. The A/ C is worth it. It would be be a good investment for the other unit. We put seed and fruit in the feeder outside. We identified about 14 birds. I would like to see a few Hummingbird feeders, little things. The entry in is almost 4x4 territory. A few improvements could be to provide dish soap because we kept forgetting to buy some! The TV mounts are fragile and do not swing around.

Our stay at Henry and Diego’s Airbnb was absolutely amazing! From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with such kindness and hospitality. Diego was incredibly responsive and always ready to help, and his dad, Henry, was just as kind and attentive. Their assistant worker went above and beyond, helping us with our luggage and anything else we needed. The place itself was peaceful and relaxing—exactly what we were looking for. Waking up to the sounds of birds and spotting local wildlife like mapaches made the experience even more special. It truly felt like a hidden gem in nature. Overall, the service was outstanding, and the atmosphere was perfect. This was definitely one for the books, and we can’t wait to come back! Highly recommend this stay to anyone looking for a serene and welcoming getaway.

Gerardo’s place was amazing. I’m so happy we booked here instead of somewhere in La Fortuna town. The interior design was beautiful and we loved the large tub. The bed was super comfortable and we loved how tranquil the area was. Lots of privacy and perfect for a romantic getaway. Even better than the photos!
