The location of this place is absolutely perfect. It's situated near many fantastic restaurants and shops, making it super convenient to explore the local area. Plus, the jacuzzi was ideal to relax with a nice glass of wine after a day full of activities in la Fortuna. Another great advantage is the free parking available on the property, which made things so much easier. As a woman travelling solo, i felt safe and at home. I recommend this place a lot. Thank you Erick, I will definetly come back!

Great value just a 3 minute walk from town and closer than any other place to the best restaurants in La Fortuna. Comfy bed, good AC, nice place to stay as a base for your adventures. Would stay again. The "Soda Rodriguez" next door is worth a visit, really cool vibes.

Erick’s place is beautiful! It’s in a great location, can walk to downtown La Fortuna and just a quick drive to all of the local tourist attractions. While in a convenient location, it also has a sense of privacy and tranquility. It’s quiet and the private jacuzzi room is so peaceful! The place is clean and tidy and has everything you could need. Also, Erick sent such a helpful document of restaurant recommendations, local tour guide options, in room massage options and in room dining options. We went to the recommended Travesía restaurant and it was 10/10 amazing! Highly recommend Erick’s place!

Beautiful surroundings and place! It was very walkable to downtown area with several shops and food places but far enough away to be private and quiet. The rooftop terrace with a clear view of the volcano was a plus! It was exactly as pictured and had several things that made the overall stay great! It had a ceiling fan over the bed, comfortable bed, essentials for cooking, option for blackout curtains, and nice decorations. It was overall a great value and would highly recommend for your visit! This is the place is to stay in la Fortuna. Erick and his co-host had a detailed e-docs on the check in process, local places to eat, attractions and so much more (this was beyond helpful and answered so many questions I had). This stay is so close to center of town about a 5-10 minute walk. I will be staying here in the future. Best bang for your buck for sure. My partner and I felt completely safe here too. Highly recommended for solo travelers or couples.

My wife and I loved our stay here! The listing description and photos are spot on - everything was exactly as expected. The place has a great vibe, privately nestled among lush tropical plants that create a peaceful, even some touch of White Lotus feel lol . It feels secluded yet welcoming. As many reviews mentioned, the room is quite small, which you can also see from the host pictures. But we were fully expecting that and found the space cozy and just right for us. Able to organize our clothes and fit a mid-size suitcase comfortably for easy access. The terrace was a highlight! I enjoyed having breakfast out there almost every morning—such a relaxing way to start the day. Plus, the best restaurant Travesía Restaurant is right at the corner (the steak + chimichurri is so delicious! beating most steakhouse in NYC!) Overall, we loved this place. As long as it's the right size for your needs, I’d absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for a unique and tranquil stay.

Very enjoyable stay. It was a great location; walking distance from a bunch of places to eat which made it very convenient. It was also quite private.

Just like the pictures, beautiful table to sit at. Cool sink and nice aesthetics in 15. Travesia Restaurantwas good but need to get reservations usually. Good burritos & tacos across the street. @ El Mariachi, Soda & Restaurante Rodríguez was also quite a an experience. Only a stones throw away, but you likely won’t forget it. Just had breakfast, so can’t really give much of a report, but it was good. Google maps has a video that will give you an idea of the vibe.

Reyna is the best :) She is always happy & ready to help. We stayed in another house because reparation was needed, but she really came through. There are often no numbers at the houses in Costa Rica so due to an internet problem it was a little search to find the right house, but after that we were happy we stayed in a nice neighbourhood and also close to the centre.

This was a great stay in La Fortuna! The location is clutch - out of the hustle of the downtown area, but close enough to make it accessible. The grocery store nearby was a great addition. We loved watching the sunset on the rooftop. Such a beautiful scene!

Alexander's place was great for two people! My friend got the bedroom and I got the loft space... One and a half baths meant you never fought for anything, and they actually have really nice sharp knives and a fully equipped kitchen. It's always nice to be able to cook. And the Wi-Fi was fast, ( as I worked daily with no issues). It was easy to walk around La Fortuna from there, but chill enough to not be in the heart of everything. High recommendation if you're headed to Costa Rica.

Nos hospedamos mi esposa y yo durante el fin de semana y quedamos encantados con este lugar. El estudio es acogedor, muy limpio y con todos los detalles bien pensados para una estadía cómoda. La ubicación es excelente: a pocos pasos del centro de La Fortuna, pero lo suficientemente retirado para descansar sin ruido. El jacuzzi privado fue definitivamente el plus perfecto para cerrar nuestras noches de la mejor manera. Uno de los detalles más impresionantes es la vista al volcán Arenal desde los ventanales del estudio. ¡Incluso se puede ver desde la cama! Despertar con esa vista fue simplemente inolvidable. El sábado salimos a disfrutar de la vida nocturna del pueblo, y el domingo lo dedicamos a la relajación en aguas termales. Todo fue perfecto. La comunicación con el anfitrión fue fluida y siempre atentos a cualquier consulta. Se nota que cuidan mucho la experiencia de quienes se hospedan. Recomendamos este lugar sin dudarlo y esperamos volver pronto.

A unique piece of architecture in a beautiful location. You can walk right in to the Monteverde preserve (assuming you have tickets) which is great for avoiding the crowds, especially in high season. The walk-in shower and wraparound porch are lovely as well. As other reviewers have noted, the wind can be very loud at night, but that was part of the experience for us. Don’t forget to look up at night if the sky is clear! Carlos and Sharon were very accommodating, helpful and communicative hosts; they connected us to a wonderful rental car company, 2Ride, which was far better and more affordable than other companies, and even helped us find the car we needed. Thank you Carlos and Sharon!

Stayed with my husband and 3 teens. The property was beautiful, and the hosts even more so. The house was spacious, well-equipped, and truly felt like a home away from home. My husband and I enjoyed morning coffee on the balcony listening to the birds chirping. This place was our one-stop shop—offering everything: •Airport transportation (they even helped us find a meal spot for our late arrival) •Grocery shopping service, with items stocked and ready—just reimburse on arrival •A walk-through of the home, and a property tour by Al the next morning ft fruit trees, a trail, and a creek. The HIGHLIGHT of our trip was Leo. He was an incredible guide and driver throughout our stay. He arranged excursions, took us on hidden hiking trails, and helped us spot waterfalls and wildlife. He knew all the local gems—from grocery stores to scenic stops. This trip exceeded our expectations. Worth every penny-peaceful, private, and still close enough to enjoy authentic Costa Rica living.

Place and location were great! Walkable to a lot of great restaurants and stores. Melissa was super helpful in booking activities at a low cost! Will definitely stay again!

Le logement est très bien situé et décoré avec beaucoup de goût. Le centre-ville de Santa Elena est à quelques mètres à pieds. La literie est confortable et tout est pensé pour s’y sentir bien. Attention si vous avez le sommeil très léger, le logement est au bord de la route mais la nuit reste calme quand même.

Roy’s rooms are a great place to stay in La Fortuna. It’s not right in town, but just a few blocks from the park. Easy to walk and a little quieter than being right in town. The rooftop patio is a great place to hang out for meals with friends.

Clean and beautiful! There was a huge back porch overlooking a field and a view of the Arenal volcano. Nice neighborhood.

Fue una muy calida estadía en este apartamento, nos gusto mucho. Muy bien ubicado y cuenta con todo lo necesario para estar comodos. Volveriamos sin dudas.

Excelente lugar, muy cómodo y tranquilo. Cerca de la Fortuna de San Carlos y otros lugares turísticos de la zona. Diana, la anfitriona, estuvo siempre atenta a las necesidades y muy amable. Súper recomendado….

Die Kommunikation war super schnell und auch der Check in und out hat super flexibel und einfach funktioniert. Das Bett ist sehr bequem und man kann die Küche benutzen um zu kochen.

The lodging we experienced here was truly delightful and the place was super clean. Our hosts', Elida and Federico, hospitality was superb and we got to experience La Fortuna like one of the locals. We took the boat tour of Cano Negro and had one of our favorite and most memorable life experiences while staying here. It was probably the best guided private tours available in the whole country and a extremely great value. Elida, our guide and host, arranged the whole day which included; a drive through the country side around the infamous Arenal Volcano, an extensive boat ride up river to a protected reserve where we saw rare wetland birds, caymen, monkeys, turtles, iguanas, snakes etc all living in their natural habitats. We also got to fish and enjoy our catch freshly prepared in LuLo's outdoor kitchen. While lunch was being prepared, Brayan our boat operator, gave us a tour of his Cacao farm and explained how to process it as well as harvested fresh coconut and other tropical fruits to sample. We were treated like royalty and everyone involved was enriched through intriguing interactions and exchanges. Spanish language skills are preferable but not required for this experience.

Lovely place, good location with a short walk in to the main part of the village. Can even see the sea on a clear day! Lili was extremely helpful with everything we needed during our stay. From helping to organise tours and shuttles as well as local recommendations. We would love to return!
