Book it! My family and I stayed for our last bit of Spring Break (4 adults, 3 kids and a baby) and we had a blast! I can’t think of a negative thing to say about our stay. Upon arriving to the property, it just felt peaceful. The atmosphere and the community together have a sense of calmness. Check in and check out was easy. Plenty of cookware to use for having homemade meals. The backyard area was beautiful and full of seating. We sat around the fire pit, barbecued, fished and utilized the boats. There were extra life jackets, fishing poles and grills on site to use as well. Our kids had so much fun! Watching them disconnect from the world a bit and just have fun being kids was the best part. We loved our time at Richard and Carols. Definitely had me wanting to sell our subdivision house for a place like this!

The house was fantastic. Everything was comfortable and clean, and the equipped with everything needed. The property was perfect for what I was looking for. Used the hot tub several times, cooked out, lit a bonfire, and even went fishing using the row boat. Would describe this experience as glamping and then some. The house is not secluded per se as there is a neighbor very close, but the neighborhood is quiet. Would definitely stay here again, and very well may in the near future.

What a great family getaway! This was the perfect place for us to “unplug” and simply enjoy the surroundings. Whether it was my son challenging us to a game of cornhole or the family venturing out on the kayaks, it was certainly nice to have my teens away from their cell phones. The kitchen was fully stocked to enjoy cooking meals and even popped over to Fat Boys Pizza for a local favorite! Mindy was extremely responsive with any questions that I asked about the booking and made the process so incredibly smooth. We look forward to our next trip!

We thoroughly enjoyed our time but it was too short. The house was great, better than expected. Everything worked. We enjoyed hanging out on the boat house, sipping on a glass of wine while taking in the scenery. My only complaint was I didn’t catch any fish. We fell in love with Coldspring and may move there when we retire. The only problem with that is there aren’t many houses for sale.

We recently stayed at this beautiful home for a friend’s trip, and it was absolutely perfect! The location is stunning, and the house itself is spacious, comfortable, and thoughtfully maintained. The host was incredibly flexible with check-in and check-out times, which we greatly appreciated since our group was traveling from different parts of Texas. We followed all the provided home instructions, which were clear and easy to follow. There was a small cleaning issue in the downstairs bedroom, but the host handled it promptly and professionally. As business owners, we understand that things happen, but the way it was resolved was truly exceptional and added to the overall positive experience. We cannot recommend this home and host enough! We’re already planning to book more stays here in the future. Thank you again for such a wonderful experience!

Tranquility is an appropriate term for Gigi’s place. Miles of hiking trails on the golf course. Plenty of catchable fish just yards from the villa. Abundant wildlife almost close enough to touch. We came for two months to escape Michigan winters. The best part for us was the back deck which is all woodland. It also has a grill so you could make your own BBQ. We had the privilege to visit with Gigi and she is so kind and considerate. She makes you feel like family.

Cute house! The unpredictable high winds kept us from our boating plans but we were still able to enjoy the double decker dock and patio. We enjoyed the beautiful weather with a family hike at Sam Houston National Park just a short drive from the house. The hosts suggestions helped to easily make dinner plans.

The cottage was a great spot for a wonderful family get away! The space for 6 of us was great, room and bathroom accommodations were perfect. The area is so peaceful and quiet. It is a very easy and short walk to the lake, did some fishing and kayaking. There are also some walking trails close by, or the neighborhood is walkable, very quiet and scenic with all the trees. We did have some questions while there and Jennifer was great at getting back to us very quickly, as she has been from the very beginning. She gave us some great information on activities around the cottage, as well as, around the area. Was super helpful. Would recommend and would definitely stay again.

We had our family stay at his place and we enjoyed the place. The house is by the river so that was a bonus. The kitchen has all the tools you need. Mike was nice and responded promptly when I had questions. We will go back again.

My family and I traveled from Las Vegas, NV for spring break. This home was everything we could have hoped for. The lake was beautiful, the water toys were a hit with the kids. The neighbor Mr. Jackson and his dog Hazard were so helpful and welcoming. I highly recommend this home for your relaxing and peaceful get away. We will definitely return for summer. The good: there are plenty of games and water toys to keep you occupies and having fun, the beds are comfy, there is good seating for the amount of sleeping, the boat launch is super helpful with the kayaks. the not so good: the walls are thin, the rooms are tiny, barely bigger than the bed, not a lot of dressing room if that matters to you.

Just as great as the first time we stayed here! The cabin and area are peaceful! Perfect fire pit are and dock area to relax day and night. My husband loves to kayak fish on the lake as well. We will certainly be back a few more times!!

Our week-long stay at Franklin's home was truly amazing. The house is incredibly beautiful, clearly built with love and attention to every detail, which you notice from the moment you arrive. Every part of the house felt cozy and private. The upper terrace was perfect for bird watching, dining, and reading. The Jacuzzi was extremely comfortable and a great way to spend time with the kids. The fire pit was splendid, and there were so many places for barbecuing. The dock had everything we needed for fishing, kayaking, and enjoying the water. The surrounding nature was stunning, with beautiful sunsets every evening and a variety of bird species. We even spotted a crocodile, turtles, and plenty of fish in the water. Our family was so captivated by the experience that we didn't want to leave, and my son keeps asking when we can return. Thank you, Franklin, for allowing us to stay in your incredible home!

This place was absolutely beautiful and what me and my husband was looking for. Quiet and relaxing. Great place to get away from the city. The cabin was clean and cozy. Will definitely stay here again.

Cabin was cozy, clean, well stocked and had a beautiful lake view. It was the perfect place for a weekend getaway. Rick & Bernadette were great hosts, very helpful and always responded quickly. Would love to come back in the summer!

Rick and Bernadette were great hosts. They were very responsive and quickly answered any questions. Bernadette gave instructions on local grocery stores and laundry (we had a lot of laundry to do after days of no electric). Rick gave us great info regarding the water around the property. we had children and wanted to venture in and around the water on the kayak and flat bottom we rented. we had a great time and my family recommends to those looking for a safe and fun place to hang out by the lake. we took our dog with us who is 3 and sticks close to us. he was able to enjoy the lake and outdoors along with everyone else. they had a bonfire rolling a few nights due to all the wood that accumulated during the storm. we saw a family of ducks on the water. it was peaceful and the sunset was so pretty. there were plenty of linenes and towels for our group. we rented cabin 4 and had ample space. I'm recommending to a client of mines and discovered you can book direct also.

Decided to book a short little trip with my family to get out of Houston for the weekend. We had a great time and found the cabin quite relaxing. Exactly what we were looking for :) Btw, the view of the sunset from their shoreline is absolutely stunning. Highly recommend for anyone from Houston wanting to get out of town for a few days.
