Beautiful house, unique design, perfect location. Located on the slopes of Irazu, the house is in a picturesque location. There is a gated driveway with a steel door which made the place feel very secure. The host was extremely attentive and responsive. Lots of little details like a warm snack when we arrived, marshmallows, etc. Definitely try the optional breakfast!! It may have been the best meal (definitely the best value!) we had on our entire trip! Nothing to walk to but we wanted to be close to the volcano to get an early start on our days.

El lugar es cómodo, limpio y tiene todo lo necesario para una estancia agradable. La ubicación es perfecta, cerca del aeropuerto pero en una zona tranquila, ideal para descansar. Además, el anfitrión fue increíblemente amable y atento, siempre disponible para ayudarnos con cualquier duda o recomendación. Sin duda, volveríamos a hospedarnos aquí y lo recomendamos totalmente a otros viajeros.

We had a great couple of nights at Guillermo’s beautiful place! It was a special stop on our travels to celebrate a friends birthday and from the moment we stepped foot through the gates, made our way through the lovely gardens, and into the cool sleek apartment we felt at home. We were able to cook with ease (everything we needed and more), great efficient laundry service, and a comfortable sleep and nice hot shower! The decor made it all the more homely (small details like nice smells and soft towels), and being able to watch the birds from both front and rear balconies was a treat. We had a great time and I’d recommend to anyone. We were 3 friends, but this is an ideal family destination too!

A absolute privilege to spend a few days here as a family. A gem of a house that felt immediately like a home. We loved the quirks and the passion for enjoyment. Top of our price range but to us it was worth every penny. Thank you Tucker.

Pasamos un fin de semana muy felices, familia de 14 personas. Lugar amplio, acogedor, limpio. Doug excelente anfitrión, comunicación fluida. Importantísimo deben hacer al menos 1 baño más, son solo 2 baños para 14 personas. Cambiar almohadas que son sumamente altas. Algunos bombillos quemados. Ideal tener leña para la fogata. La cocina espectacular, vista increíble, la mesa un 100 para poder compartir en familia.

Great place to stay! I only stayed one night but everything was as described and walking distance to everything you would need. Would definitely stay here again

Cindy’s condo is the perfect retreat for a family, or for a group. It is incredibly spacious, with more room than the pictures can show. The view of San Jose was gorgeous day and night. The pool was public to the condo, and was heated. The drive Into San Jose was a touch longer than expected, but that was no biggie due to all of the other amenities. Lots of balcony space, on multiple levels have great indoor/outdoor experiences. Definitely would stay again.

Leidy's place is a beautiful one. It's extremely clean and neat! She even left some great coffee and tea available on the counter. She offered help all the time. It was a great experience and I'd like to be back soon.

The apartment was beautiful and very accommodating! The amenities on the property were top tier! The front desk staff were friendly and very helpful. I would definitely stay here again! The price was great and well worth it.

Inside, Casa Verde is tastefully decorated, exuding a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The accommodations are comfortable and well-appointed, ensuring a restful stay. The highlight for me was the beautiful Terrace , perfect for enjoying Costa Rica’s pleasant climate. The host was exceptionally attentive and responsive, providing valuable local recommendations and ensuring that all our needs were met promptly. It was truly a wonderful experience!!!

We had an amazing stay at this house! It was very spacious and perfect for our group of 13 people. We absolutely loved having access to two pools, which made our experience even more enjoyable. The kitchen was well-equipped with everything we needed, including matches to light our birthday candles, which was a nice touch! The space for three cars was more than enough, and we loved that the beach was just 600 meters away. We truly enjoyed every moment here, and we will definitely be coming back in the future. Highly recommended!

We just came back from a week in the beautiful rainforest villa…it was heaven on earth! What an absolutely gorgeous property. Comfy beds, wonderful space for 4 kids and four adults (could’ve fit another family too), daily macaw and toucan visits on the balcony, wonderful housekeeping and the best pool. From the moment we booked, Hazel reached out to help us seamlessly setup all transportation and activities. She was proactive, very communicative and had everything setup for us without issue. Jorge then met us at the home to welcome us and was available for anything we needed throughout the trip. Jorge and Hazel made our trip so easy and fun…thank you! We hope to return again in the near future…absolutely loved our trip!

This is the best deal you can get. We had a group of 9 stay here and was very spacious. For the price you pay you get two trails on the property one leading to a waterfall. There are deer that you can go pet on the property and have a gate guard the whole time so you’re protected. Every single room has a view of the city which is tremendous sight to see. On top of that Chris, the grounds keeper, was very polite. He worked well with our check in considering we arrived at 3am. He knows the area well and has suggestions and always available to help with anything to need. If you plan to be around the San Jose are, this property/ AirBnB is a no brainer.

I’ll start with what you need to know. Yes, the airBNB is on private 4 acre lot. Yes the room was as clean and well designed as the pictures depicted. Yes there is lots of parking on the property. Yes the kitchen is fully stocked with pots, utensils, plates, cups and extras like sugar, cooking oil and coffee. Yes there is a laundry room with a washer and dryer. Yes this property is in mountains, but Uber can take you anywhere for cheap. My family and I were lucky enough to book this place for almost 6months. Erika was very attentive and kind to us our entire stay. Sure this is her business, but every exchange felt genuine. My boys absolutely loved being here with so much room to play and run around. Weekly, Ilse and KB switched our linens, gived us fresh towels, cleaned the entire bathroom and swept our floors. Mr. Orlando and Guillermo worked swiftly to address all grounds related issues. This team of four worked really well together to ensure our comfort. WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

I booked this listing for a group of 8 women. We all needed time to get away from our busy lives in the U.S. The six nights at La Sombra were peaceful and inspiring! What a beautiful location and beautiful grounds. We were all stunned by the property, in a good way:) It was even better than the beautiful pictures provided. Each villa was appointed beautifully with quality linens, towels, robes, bath soaps, dishes, etc. We especially enjoyed the patio views and the design of the structures that incorporate natural light and the surrounding nature. We ate dinner each night on the patio of the main house, and found a spot for morning meditations on the bridge. Catherine and Ryan were available and responsive before, during and after our visit. And, I cannot say enough about the local cook, Marta. We all wanted to take her home with us! What a treat:) Thank you for sharing your home with us, Catherine and Ryan!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. This is the 4th different rental we’ve stayed in on vacation in Costa Rica and has been our favorite. The house was extremely clean and modern but still comfortable. The beds were very comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed for a family of 5 to have meals and mostly eat in which is exactly what I was hoping for. The pool is a good size and perfect depth for younger kids. The house is close to everything we needed and we found lots to do, but the area felt very private. The area is very friendly with great beaches and restaurants. The views at sunset (and all day) are just incredible! We highly recommend booking this place and wouldn’t hesitate to come back!

This place was stunning, peaceful and secluded. Now, keep that in mind when booking your stay, the place is remote and the nearest store is a short drive away, so plan accordingly. We coordinated a chef and massage services to come to the property, and the hosts were accommodating of this arrangement. There are a few lizards and geckos that come and visit the property. Overall a fantastic experience with this property and we would recommend to anyone visiting Costa Rica
