Unique place. Great value. Murals on the walls and also some animal heads. This place had two connected rooms and a bathroom. We enjoyed our stay.

Our stay at Leaning Oaks Ranch in the 1893 farmhouse was absolutely delightful! It's a sweet escape, offering a rustic and quiet retreat. The location, tucked away on a cattle ranch down a dirt road, provided the perfect peaceful atmosphere, yet was still conveniently close to town. We especially loved our mornings sipping coffee on the porch, watching the cows graze nearby. It was a truly unique and charming experience. We also enjoyed drives and walks around the property, spotting cows, deer, jack rabbits, and armadillos! Margaret was a gracious and welcoming host, sharing the fascinating family history of the property with us. Would love to return, especially when the wildflowers are in bloom. Highly recommend this gem for anyone seeking a tranquil and authentic ranch experience!

Wonderful place! We had such a great time. It was super easy to get in and exactly as described. The House: The house is large and comfortable with plenty of spots to sleep lots of people. The kitchen was well stocked with essentials, a/c worked great, bed was comfy, and we loved being able to access the water and go fishing! The Area: Just down the street is The General Store which is a fun little spot with basic groceries, and a beer garden in the back with yummy food, a stage for live music, and even a little above ground pool where you can sip a beverage and watch the goings on :) not too far away is the town of San Saba where we got a birthday dinner at Pecan House Grill. The food was great and the atmosphere perfect for our celebration. Colorado Bend State Park is just minutes away from the house so there are plenty of outdoor activities. All around a great spot for a low-key and relaxing weekend getaway!

The cottage was perfect for our group of 8, including 4 teens. The location couldn’t be better for shopping, groceries, dining, and hunting. Cindy was extremely helpful and attentive, making sure we had everything we would need. The extra special details like the coffee bar, bottled water, game room with the jukebox, nice front and back patio to sit and visit, supplied ice, and bedside plugs for phone chargers was nice and made it extra special. There were plenty of towels and some toiletries if needed, as well as the washer/dryer with detergent. With it being right on the main road and close to town, it was quiet and still felt like we were in our own little space. You can tell a lot of love and care went into making this house special for those visiting this cute town. I’m sure I’m missing some details, but we loved our stay, would highly recommend, and will be back!! Thank you, Cindy!

The cabin was clean and cozy... meet all my needs... comfy bed, hot shower, plenty of electrical outlets to recharge my devices. The price was definitely right... it will be my choice for any future travels to the San Saba area.

Was pleasantly surprised to find out Jerilyn and her family are old friends of my Dad! Always nice to see a familiar face and to get a friendly welcome. The unit is exactly as described. Great location for a visit to San Saba!
