*1000/5* This is the review I'm most happy to write. My boyfriend and I arrived in Trinidad from Havana and received a very warm welcome. Though our time in Havana was okay, it wasn't until we reached Trinidad that our memories will be unforgettable. I was quite lucky that my boyfriend speaks spanish fluently which helped within town and communicating with the locals. I have about 5 words of Spanish in my vocabulary. With that said, there was never a time this family's hospitality, genuine kindness and generosity was lost in translation. Both my boyfriend and I left truly feeling apart of their family. Staying with them was amazing and I HIGHLY recommend their home. I haven't even been gone for 2 days and I already miss them. There is plenty more I'd love to share but the best way to figure it out is go for yourself. You will be extremely well taken care of.

I could warmly recommend Yanira’s house. I had a great experience staying with her, her mother and their cute little dog. Yanira helped me plan my days in Trinidad, giving me tips on where to eat and which places to visit. The house is very cozy with a beautiful inner yard where breakfast is served. It’s only a short walk away from plaza mayor. The room was spacious and equipped with AC, a ceiling fan and a wall fan. I would stay at Yanira’s house again 🙂 thank you for being a great host!

Nous remercions.s yobani pour son. chaleureux accueil et pour tous ses précieux conseils. nous a ons pu ainsii decouvrir Triniidad dans les meilleures conditions. la casa est située à quelques mètres de la ville. .nous avons pu avoir de l électricité même au moment des coupures car il dispose d un système de generateur. il nous a donné accès à la WiFi sur demande. merci encore à lui pour toutes ses attentions et pour les discussions très intéressantes que nous avons eu.

Maravillosa segunda estancia en la casa de Luis y Taimi. Luis y Taimi son muy atentos y disponibles. Ofrecen la posibilidad de un desayuno muy completo. El alojamiento es independiente y muy confortable. Hay dos alojamientos disponibles con varias camas en cada uno. Un gran gracias por toda su implicación y generosidad.

We had a lovely stay at Casa Giroud. There are lots of great restaurants nearby, and we enjoyed walking around Trinidad. The bed was very comfy and the room was huge! The bathroom door doesn’t close properly, and if the little window is open, the draft does open it into the bedroom. There was some noise at night from nearby bars/restaurants, but if you had the fan or air con on in the room, you couldn’t really hear it. Everyone at Casa Giroud was very helpful and friendly, and we would certainly recommend to anyone staying in Trinidad.

Casa el Delfin is about a 10 minute walk to the center of Trinidad. Susan and Luis live in the ground level of the casa and there are 2 bedrooms on the second level. In addition, there is a rooftop terrace where guests can enjoy their meals. We stayed in La Tranquilidad, which is advertised as being a quieter room in the back of the house. Overall, Casas in Cuba are not very quiet as there are no glass windowpanes so you can hear all of the road noise, etc. If you are a light sleeper, bring earplugs! Luis was a fantastic host, providing a delicious vegan dinner that left us stuffed and with leftovers for lunch the next day. He also helped arrange two hiking trips to nearby waterfalls with his friend Nino. We also took the bus to Playa Ancon for a day, which is very beautiful and relaxing. Luis also arranged for a private taxi to the Havana airport. Overall our stay in Trinidad was wonderful and we thank Luis and Susan (though she wasn’t in Cuba during our visit) for all of their hospitality prior to and during our stay.
