Santa Cruz : locations de vacances au bord de l'eau

We stayed at Marco’s apartment with our 1-year-old baby and spent three wonderful weeks there. The accommodation is located in the sunniest part of the island. From the 4th floor, there’s a stunning view of the ocean from both terraces where you can watch the sunset too. The living room is bathed in sunlight all day and overlooks a peaceful park above the plaza. In my opinion, the apartment is even cozier than it appears in the photos and is fully equipped with everything you might need. We cooked and did laundry quite a lot during our stay. There are several restaurants, a hair salon, and a toy shop in the same building as the apartment. Across the street, there’s a greengrocer, and just a few steps away is a shopping mall. The playground is located in park just a block away from the apartment, and at the beginning of the street, there’s a traditional bakery filled with local delicacies. Communication with Marco was very smooth, he’s truly a wonderful host!

Wir waren als zwei Freundinnen dort und uns hat die Unterkunft sowie Lage sehr gut gefallen. Sehr praktisch im Gegensatz zu anderen ist das gratis parken auf dem Grundstück. Es war alles sauber und bei Fragen war der Verwalter Edgar jederzeit zu erreichen. Besonders schön ist, dass bei klarem Himmel von beiden Balkonen der wunderschöne Sonnenuntergang bewundert werden kann.

In 2017, we had an amazing short break in Madeira and stayed at Casa Betty. This year, we couldn’t resist and booked it again. I highly recommend both our host Betty and her spacious, beautiful, and very well-equipped apartment. Betty’s helpful manuals and quick responses to our questions made our stay a breeze. We booked the airport transfers with Flavio, who Betty recommended, and they were perfect. We spent a lot of time on the huge balcony, watching the ocean with an espresso or glass of wine in hand. A big thank you, Betty! Keep welcoming tourists to this beautiful island. We’ll definitely be back!

We had a fabulous time in Funchal. Yana & Oxana's apartment was great, very clean and walking distance to all amenities, restaurants and transportation. The view from their balcony was amazing!

This accommodation ticks all the boxes - its well equipped with gym, swimming pool and garage for private parking. Its based in a lovely village just outside Funchal and within walking distance of good restaurants and a few bars. Also has a supermarket nearby for any provisions you might need. Very well connected by bus as well as an option. Its best feature however is the amazing view out to sea from the balcony. We were always in a rush back following a day out and about just to sit there and unwind. Very therapeutic. Our Hosts were very responsive and helpful throughout the whole process. I would not hesitate to recommend this accommodation.

Die gesamte Anlage ist der sehr sauber und ruhig. Die Wohnung ist modern und klar geschnitten. Die Ausstattung der Küche für einfaches Kochen gut ausgestattet. Leider liegt der Balkon den ganzen Tag im Schatten (Reisezeitraum im Februar), im Sommer ist man damit bestimmt gut aufgehoben. Wenn man Sonne möchte geht man ein wenig und ist am Pool. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.

We stayed at this lovely home for two weeks.  It is exactly as it appears in the listing.  It is spacious, nicely decorated, and is well stocked to cook meals.  The host, Scott, has thought of everything to make the stay very comfortable.  It is a 20-minute walk to the downtown where you can find grocery stores, markets and everything you would expect from a thriving city.  The bus can be readily accessed, and taxis are reasonable.  Scott provided a list of recommended restaurants; we visited each one and we were pleased with recommendations.  We really enjoyed the deck and its glorious view.  We would highly recommend this home and host. 

Amazing Airbnb overlooking the town of Câmara do Lombos. Everything was perfect for 2 people including a well equipped kitchen. Also, lots of amazing place to eat - O Polar, Churchill's Place, Villa do Peixe and a supermarket within 10 mins walk! Parking in designated space was very challenging with our hire car, so we parked on the road instead which was no problem.

Det bedste Airbnb ophold vi har været på. Vi var to familier, 10 mennesker i alt incl store teenagere, og der var god plads til alle. Huset er en charmerende gammel villa, med opvarmet pool, udsigt og i gå afstand til centrum. Vi kunne ikke have ønsket os mere. Antonio er den perfekte vært, var hurtig og hjælpsom da der kort før vores ferie opstod problemer med vores booking(som vi selv var skyld i). De aller bedste anbefalinger herfra.

Das Haus weiß zu überzeugen mit persönlichen Touch und toller Ausstattung! Die Highlights sind der Garten, der Pool und die geschmackvoll hergerichteten Badezimmer. Auch die Kommunikation mit den Gastgebern war reibungslos und verlief sogar proaktiv, so wurde das fehlende Tischtennis-Netz ohne Hinweis eigenständig nachgereicht. Wir würden wiedergekommen!

Nous avons passé 3 jours chez Adriana. A l'arrivée nous étions un peu surpris par l'emplacement mais au final ce fut notre logement préféré à Madère ! L'emplacement au bord de la route n'était pas un problème car quasiment pas de circulation la nuit et surtout nous étions tout près du rocher de Ribeira de Janela et avec les vagues, c'était fascinant! La maison etait très bien agencée avec une décoration vraiment jolie, des éclairages originauxet tout l'équipement necessaire. Avec le cadeau de bienvenue que nous avons apprécié ! Le père d'Adriana s'est arrêté pour nous saluer et était tres sympathique. Nous aurions aimé rester plus longtemps ! A une prochaine fois j'espère!

We loved our stay at Felipe's and got really good tips from him on various things to do. Slept like babies and the house was perfect with beautiful view. Our best recommendations.

Our experience at Sweet Brava Home was excellent. The location was absolutely stunning with views of the valley and ocean from the upstairs patio and even just from the driveway! The home was clean and comfy - very well equipped for us all and our infant to have a comfortable stay. We had the pool heated but it was a bit expensive in my opinion; yet we were certain to make the most of using it! Gomes was very responsive and helpful. We got a great rental car price with him, and we loved the fresh bread each morning (as others have mentioned). 10/10 would stay again!!

Maria&Luara were fantastic and helpful hosts. The location of this apartment cannot be underestimated.This is the perfect location for Funchal and day tripping the entire Island. Having a place to park a car is bonus too as this gives flexibility to tour the island by car or take off on foot around Funchal.The property is steps to all the great restaurants,shopping and parks not forgetting the harbor right infront of the apartment too.Lots to explore on foot nearby thanks to the location.The balcony/terrace is huge and wraps around most of the apartment giving a spectacular almost 360 panoramic view of Funchal harbor, city and surrounding hills.This view is amazing at night and especially around Christmas time as absolutely everything is lit up with Christmas lights all around the city and up and down the hills and this balcony is truly the best place to see all this while relaxing with a drink on a mild evening. Also the view of the sunrise was also spectacular from the balcony deck.

Great location, beautiful panoramic view, super convenient that parking is included. Hosts were super responsive and helpful, there was terrible rain during our stay and they brought us umbrellas ❤️

We've stayed at this flat for six days - the location is great, we found everything we needed nearby, including grocery shops, car rentals and bus station! There is a large parking area right under the balconies and a pool we unfortunately didn't have time to use. Chayanne was very nice to us, really helpful and friendly, and we were overall very happy with our trip. Thanks, Chayanne!

We had a fantastic stay at this apartment in Funchal. It was spotless, well equipped, and had a stunning view. Upon entering, we felt immediately at home. The host, Marina, was incredibly responsive and made sure we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We would definitely recommend this property to anyone visiting Madeira.

Wir haben den Urlaub in der Wohung sehr genossen. Morgens den Pool alleine genießen. Leckeres Frühstück auf der Terrasse einnehmen mit Meerblick....Supermärkte gleich um die Ecke. Tagsüber tolle Wanderungen und Ausflüge unternehmen, entweder zu Fuß, mit dem Bus, der gleich an der Straße losfährt oder mit dem Auto, das in der Tiefgarage parkt und am Abend den Tag auf der Terrasse bei einem Wein mit Wellenrauschen ausklingen lassen. Gerne haben wir uns auch etwas Leckeres in der super ausgestatteten Küche gekocht. Wir haben nichts vermisst und es hat uns an nichts gefehlt. Bei Fragen war Susana gerne behilflich. Wir freuen uns schon auf den nächsten Urlaub bei Susana !

This was the perfect place for my family of 4 for 5 nights. Roberto met us for check-in and guided us into the garage, easy to park and utilize the remote control. From there you access the elevator to the 5th floor. The condo is exactly as it looks in the pictures. Our 2 adult children were with us and the room situation was ideal. The weather could have been better, lots of rain, wind mixed with some sun. I chose this over some other homes because of the amazing patio with a view, we didn't use that much due to rain.We ate at Francos the second night, which is around the corner, it was good, but we discovered the streets closer to the water and hotels, and ate in that area the next three nights. We also found a great breakfast/coffee shop called the LOFT in the same area, super yummy and so reasonable. The kitchen was fine, and worked for breakfast on a few days. Good to know there is a washer, but no dryer, so you have a drying rack. We loved our stay here!

We thouroughly enjoyed our stay at Nelson's apartment. Communication was excellent and pro-acitive, check in was easy and so was parking in the big car park across the street (we didn't bother with the basement car park). The place was much bigger than I'd imagined from the photos and spotlessly clean. Everything worked; we couldn't find the button to turn on the coffee maker but Nelson responded within minutes. My only negative about the apartment is that the bed is quite hard (and other have mentioned this too). There is a road next to the apartment block, but after about 9pm there is little or no traffic so all we heard was the sound of the waves on the beach below. Madalena do Mar is a small village, there are several bars and restaurants, but no shop. The area is surrounded by banana plantations. We used the apartment as a base to go hiking in the centre and west of the island, having spent a few days in Funchal before we arrived there.

I can highly recommend Leonardo as a host and this apartment. He was very responsive and answered all our questions. We loved our stay and felt right at home, just what we were looking for on our holiday. It was very peaceful, quiet and the views were beautiful. Our highlight was having breakfast/brunch on the balcony with the sound of the waves and the sun shining.
