Amy’s place was exactly what I needed for my 5 week stay in Oaxaca. The house is a beautiful mix of traditional and modern. A simple and well designed space with everything I needed. The San Felipe neighborhood is a bit far from all the happenings in the city but if you’re comfortable being a bit off the beaten path and learn how the local buses work it makes for nice escape. Would definitely stay here again!

El alojamiento de Rmz nos resulto mas que conveniente ya que planeabamos hace una escala en la Cd. de Oaxaca rumbo a Cd. de Mexico para lo cual su localizacion es inmejorable. Con todos los servicios y amenidades para la vida moderna, es una casa muy amplia para pasar incluso una instancia de mayor tiempo, sin duda regresaremos muy pronto! A unos pasos se encuentra un expendio de pan, a la vuelta una tienda donde se encuntra todo lo basico y muy cerca diferentes opciones para comer y cenar!

David’s place is amazing! Trust me when I say that it is everything you want while staying in a small village in Mexico. Pluses: - The views are magical! - The outdoor shower was almost better than the views. Better yet, the outdoor shower has a view! - The house had everything needed for the stay, and it was very clean. Minuses (which are not the fault of the host): - There is a “towncrier” who drives around the village posting announcements starting around 7 AM. It was charming at first but got annoying after two days. Fireworks at night and dogs barking nonstop. This is not the fault of David but should be noted. Bring earplugs. - Beware that there is nothing but stairs and hills. If you have mobility issues then this is not the place for you. - Limited restaurants but there are small shops to buy groceries. Overall, I would highly recommend David’s place if you want to experience a small village in Mexico!

This stay was perfect for our large group of 8. We had enough room for everyone to enjoy their own space. The common area is beautiful and super spacious. It was pretty quiet at night, and we had no problems getting right to sleep every night. We walked everywhere so it was easy to get around to the centro. Alexandro was amazing at responding, providing clear instructions, and answering all of our questions. Would definitely stay here again! It was great.

Martha Alicia’s listing exceeded our expectations! They were very communicative and responded quickly to all of our questions, making the booking process seamless. The pool was perfectly warm, creating a relaxing atmosphere, and the bar service was excellent—friendly staff and great drinks. Highly recommend staying here!

The place is stunning, actually more beautiful than the pictures. It is really staying in someones home, the decoration is very cozy and comfortable. Since we had a car we thought it would be nice to be a bit outside of Oaxaca, and it was wonderful to have relaxing days in the house and by the pool. Also the local recommendations from Florencio were great! And some of us went to the city by taxi and bus and the connection was quite easy. Overall, we loved it and enjoyed our stay so much!

Tuvimos una experiencia maravillosa en este alojamiento. Los anfitriones fueron increíblemente amables y atentos, siempre dispuestos a ayudarnos con cualquier pregunta que tuviéramos para conocer Oaxaca. La ubicación se encuentra en un lugar tranquilo y silencioso que nos permitió descansar y relajarnos. Quiero destacar especialmente la excelente atención y apoyo que recibimos cuando se presentó un pequeño inconveniente por nuestra parte durante nuestra estancia. Los anfitriones nos apoyaron y nos brindaron soluciones efectivas, demostrando su compromiso con la satisfacción de sus huéspedes. Sin duda, recomendaríamos este alojamiento para una experiencia relajante y acogedora. ¡Gracias a los anfitriones por hacer que nuestra estancia fuera tan especial y por su apoyo en todo momento!

Beautiful oasis and refuge. Mariana was responsive for questions and needs. She was also very respectful of our privacy. A perfectly balanced hostess.

We loved our stay at Lili’s! Very comfortable and perfect for the two of us and our dog. We especially loved the beautiful garden and pool area with lots of shade and a hammock. We had a rental car, and this was the perfect base to explore the city and surrounding sites. Lili could not have been nicer or more helpful.

Tuvimos una experiencia extraordinaria Espacio encantador y con un toque de magia. Todo empieza con la calle empedrada que no tiene el tráfico (y ruido) del resto de la ciudad, eso ya es un Plus. Es una subida que es menos pesada de lo que parece. Al llegar, la fachada pasa desapercibida entre las construcciones residenciales de la zona. Entrando es que se nota el contraste entre el edificio histórico y la remodelación tan original y de buen gusto. El principal espacio para convivir es la bella cocina al aire libre, como es costumbre y tradición en Oaxaca. En la mañana, con un suéter es suficiente para el poco frío que hace, y el desayuno de Mary y el café, inigualables. Dormir en una cama desde la que pude ver el cielo estrellado, un detallazo de diseño que inspira a soñar. El colchón y almohadas muy buenos y cómodos. Recomiendo 100% a quien quiera tener una experiencia de conexión personal y alejada del ruido. Damián, un super host atento, efectivo y amable. ¡Volveremos pronto!

Wonderful stay in Colonia Estrella with tremendous views overlooking the city. Beautiful sunrises and sunsets every morning. Great for my two week stay, working remotely - and a 30 minute walk into town. A steep walk home to burn off the tlayudas and tacos upon my return. The apartment is beautifully furnished, a really great stay and couldn't recommend it more.

This apartment is fantastic! It's comfortable, well-organized, central, and very quiet. The kitchen is a good size, has all the amenities you need to prepare meals, and a water jug with an electric pump. The shower has good pressure, and plenty of hot water (although it takes a bit to warm up). It's in a gated compound, comes with its own parking and it's easy to walk to the center. My favorite thing about the apartment is that the living room window is aligned with the morning sun - it's a calming way to start the morning and enjoy the provided coffee. Olga was an attentive host, and I would certainly stay here again if I am in Oaxaca.

El lugar es muy amplio y limpio. La zona está retirada del centro por lo que es recomendable llevar coche y salir caminando de la casa sería algo complicado. Es una muy buena opción para llevar mascotas ya que su patio principal es muy amplio. Muchas gracias por recibirnos.

Una excelente ubicación si buscas estar alejado del bullicio de la ciudad. Lo ocupé para hacer un retiro y todo fue excelente. Contacto con la naturaleza y la vista del amanecer es linda desde los departamentos. Hay sonidos propios de los animales que viven por la zona pero nada que sea molesto. Cuenta con todo lo necesario para tener una estancia grata. La cocina y los trastes muy bien, cuenta con refrigerador y estufa con horno. Si olvidas llevar algún insumo, hay tiendas locales cercanas. Volvería. 🙂

Our four night stay at Julio and Gaëlle Casistas was perfection. Not only was the residence comfortable, clean, well furnished, and convenient to the lovely Pueblo of Huayapam, but our wonderful hosts were gracious, friendly and helpful beyond expectations. And their two playful, affectionate pups were a delight. I will definitely be returning.
