Great winter getaway! We spent the weekend ice fishing, coming back to a cozy fire and quiet evenings in the hot tub was the perfect way to spend the weekend! We found the main bedroom very comfortable and the location was beautiful!

We loved the cabin! Such a hidden gem. A great place to get away with family and friends to reconnect and play games and explore! We will be back!

Perfect location for what we came to do. Relax and snowmobile with the family. Dj's place was exactly what we needed for the size of group we were. Great amount of space for a large family, tidy, peaceful, and stocked adequately with towels, bedding, and kitchenware. The hot tub was a definite hit!

The cabin surpassed our expectations. It was plenty of room for our group. Travis was quick to respond to our concerns and addressed the issues in a timely manner. I recommend this space for a large group as there is a lot of space for everyone. The lake is right out the back door. Hot tub was inviting. Kitchen had spices and condiments and cookware for all our meals.

Prestine amazing cabin! From the linens to the furniture to the kitchen to the hot tub/sauna to the shower everything about this cabin was top notch!! 😊 watching curling in the hot tub after a long day of ice fishing, it didn’t get much better than that!! This cabin had everything we needed! Shelley is an amazing host, friendly, was always responsive to our many questions and very helpful!! 😊 The perfect getaway place, inside & out!!

Amazing space and location, perfect place to get away off the beaten path. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for some peace and quiet! Very clean and has everything you need for a nice getaway. We absolutely loved it!

My husband, dogs, and I had a wonderful stay at Back To Your Roots. We were first welcomed by her dogs, who made this trip extremely special for us; we entered a cozy rustic cabin that made us feel right at home; and Ryley remained responsive the entirety of the trip. My dogs roamed the area with hers, we had a fire with firewood provided by the host, we enjoyed our first winter hot tub experience, and the nearby restaurant, Chris’s, had amazing food! This was the country escape we needed and I couldn’t be happier with the experience. Plus, we left with 3 dozen fresh farm eggs!

Our family loved this cabin. It’s beautifully decorated and cozy. Exactly like the pictures. The views from the master bedroom are unbelievable. We woke up each morning to the panoramic view of the gorgeous sparkling lake and went to sleep with the sound of the loons. Our mornings were spent out on the paddle board and kayaks in the calm bay, when we got hot we took a plunge into the refreshing lake. In the evenings we tried (but failed) to catch some lake trout and took in the incredible views of this gorgeous lake. We will definitely be planning a return trip next summer!

Shannon and Chris are excellent hosts! They responded promptly to a few questions I had. Their place is very warm and inviting and was the perfect place to host our family Christmas . The beds were comfortable, the hot water was hot and the bonus room with the pool table made for many games and memories to be made. They supplied the wood for the fire place which kept us very toasty. They are very close to Klingers trail so we were able to go on many walks and did some cross country skiing. The lake is a bit farther away to walk but is due able, however we took the snow machines down to our ice shacks. I would highly recommend renting this cabin ( we had another family rent a different cabin down the street and it was a complete disappointment from barely any hot water, to unsafe stairs and electric baseboards not working) we felt very fortunate to be able to have exactly everything that was specified ! Oh and Shannon left a box of homemade chocolates and welcome note! ❤️?

Great location and great accommodations! Host was very responsive to any questions. Check in and out were seamless. Shell Lake is a lovely little Sask town.

Beautiful location and cabin. Everything was clean and ready for us. Beds are great. Location is great. We had a great stay. This was our 2nd time here and we will be back next year. Thanks Wick’s Retreat.

Great place

Check-in was easy. Our host made sure that everyone in our party was able to find the place. Everything was very clean and orderly when we arrived. We were surprised to find more cooking utensils than expected as well as a toaster. The bunk beds were a little tricky to get into but using the wall to counterbalance makes it workable. There were clean sheets on the beds but we all came with sleeping bags. The air conditioning was great as it was warm when we were there. There are two camp chairs and a table on the deck in addition to the barbecue. This property is very close to the beach and to a little beach front shop where people can rent canoes, paddle, boats and many other items. They also carry corner store items and treats. All in all, lots of nice little extras and a very restful place to stay. I would definitely recommend this place.

Meghan's place is beautiful and private. The cabin fit all 10 of us perfectly. It is close to the kids playground and the marina boat launch. I highly recommend Meghan's cabin for you next adventure! Thanks again for having us!

We were looking for a winter wonderland getaway and we got it! We brought our snowmobiles with us to use the trails there and we absolutely loved it! The location was great; peaceful, beautiful surroundings. We went for walks around the lake and marina to view the stunning sunsets. The co-op grocery store was also a quick walk to pickup a few things we forgot. We did find the downstairs to be a bit chilly, especially on the colder days, but we did see a space heater in the main room there. The bedrooms downstairs seemed warm, though. We really only used the upstairs for the two of us. The upstairs has a fireplace that we cozied up to every night after a long day of snowmobiling with the big warm blankets that were provided. It was so enjoyable. Ebani's place had everything we were looking for to take us away from our busy lives and have a peaceful winter getaway.

First night back in Canadian lands couldn’t have been any better. After five days road tripping from California, we arrived @ Serena & Ken’s cabin in the evening to a warm Canadian welcoming. Not long after we settled in, Serena showed up on our doorstep with a warm meal of fresh Pickerel and dessert. Such a kind gesture toward three weary travellers. The place is beautiful. Only wish we could have stayed longer for more bonfires & s’mores under the stars.

We loved our stay. The cabin was exactly what we expected. It was clean and had all the amenities we needed. Tabatha was available to answer any question when needed. We will definitely be back!

It’s a great Cabin by the lake, would definitely recommend it and host was awesome and easy to deal with!

Nicole was a great host. Very responsive and welcoming. The house was as described and we had no issues with any amenities inside. The grill was an added bonus and made cooking easy. Great view and nice and quiet neighborhood. Would not hesitate to book again.

Vaughn was quick to respond and helpful with any questions I had. He even gave me some extra tips on sites to see without me asking. Vaughn was a really great host and I really enjoyed the cozy stay and location in Candle Lake.

We had an amazing long weekend at Evan's place. Having a park and the beach near by was a huge hit, especially with the littles! This place is absolutely set up for bringing your kids, of any age, along! We had a lovely experience with some of the locals and even lucked out seeing the northern lights! Truly a memorable weekend. Would come again!

The cabin had an abundance of linens and towels, it was cozy and cute. It does have AC which was a welcome feature on the hot days. The kitchen was also very well stocked.

I didn’t want to leave, it was like being home. It was extremely cold when we were there. They offered to bring us an extension cord for our block heater on the car and the house was toasty warm when we got there!!! It was hard to leave

It was a great get away. Nice big rooms and well furnitured. Well thought thru. I loved the options of the couple toddlers beds for our children. Also we stayed with friends and we both had separate space to sleep at with the separate cabin. The only thing that was maybe not as convenient was that there is no washroom in the separate cabin. And the outside washroom is only available in summer season. Otherwise it was great. They also had an outside sauna as a nice little option but we were to busy to use it. Matthew has also well described everything that we need to know before we got there. And he as quick to respond when I had a question. Great place. I Would go there again. Thank you Matthew.
