This is the perfect place to stay when visiting the Lakes district, the Eden Valley is just beautiful and Woodpecker Cottage is ideally located. The surrounding area is beautiful and The Highland Drove Inn is right next door and the locals made us feel very welcome. Woodpecker Cottage is a cosy and warm cottage but it has plenty of space and a magnificent bathroom. It has all the facilities you could possibly need. Hilary and Peter are wonderful responsive hosts who were on hand for our every need. The welcoming touch of providing fresh bread, butter, jam, eggs and fruit was just great. I would highly recommend Woodpecker Cottage.

We were very lucky to spend Christmas and New Year in this fantastic place, it was so beautifully clean, warm, and welcoming. A short walk to the local shops, café and every easy to walk into the city center. We were sad that our time came to an end but definitely will put this accommodation on our list to visit again! We were looking for a convenient home base for several half-day hiking tours in the Glen Coe area and we found so much more in the Hill View Pod! It was so cosy, clean, private and had all features we wished for. Most notably, Michelle is a superb host, very welcoming, warm and forthcoming. She also prepared quite a few recommendations for activities which you can read about in the pod. The location is optimal. Not only is it just a few miles away from many exciting hiking tours, but also the town of Ballachulish is worth exploring. The quarry, Ballachulish Peninsula and the Brecklet path through the forest have provided us surprisingly beautiful short walks. For grocery shopping, a Co-op is nearby. 10/10 do recommend! Simply perfect! Thank you Michelle for an amazing stay!

Beautiful accommodation, absolutely pristine, perfect location if you want to visit Edinburgh but don’t want to drive into the city. Alan was very friendly and helpful with anything you need to know. Would highly recommend. Hope to return again.

Die Suppe und das Brot, die uns erwartet haben, waren wirklich super. Insgesamt haben wir uns sehr wohlgefühlt. Freundliche Kommunikation via Airbnb, aber gar kein Kontakt vor Ort, obwohl Lisa direkt nebenan wohnt. Man hätte bei Problemen wohl vorbeigehen können, aber es wirkte etwas anonym. Die Einrichtung ist etwas anders als auf den Bildern, aber es war alles da, was man braucht. Gut 15 Minuten Fahrtzeit nach Portree. Ich würde die Unterkunft weiterempfehlen.

Had a lovely stay. Choose as just outside St Andrews about 2 miles to the centre. It gave us easy access to St Andrews golf courses and with short drives to numerous beautiful coastal villages Crail , Pitweven and fantastic beaches along the Fife coastal road for the dog , Kingsbarns, lower Largo and Elie. The accommodation was very clean , well equipped for self catering with a really comfy bed and perfect for our trip.

The Nook is a fabulous place to stay - it’s private, cozy, bright and well equipped in every way. The beds are super comfortable and really quirky - we LOVED the climb up to the top bunk and the brilliant pull down bed! The views from The Nook over the Forth are spectacular (especially with a cup of tea in bed in the morning!) and its location is perfect for exploring Queensferry, with its quaint cafes, restaurants & harbour. Alison is a lovely host - she was so helpful and accommodating and we loved meeting her husband and the dogs when we arrived. I would highly recommend The Nook - we loved our stay and will definitely be back!

We had a lovely stay and was a good base for our day drips across Northern Ireland.

We felt really welcomed and the accommodation was great. There were so many thoughtful touches like food treats, slippers, bread, milk, new fluffy towels and beautifully warm. It was the perfect location to explore North Berwick. It was an excellent weekend away. Thank you so much.

We had only two nights at Sam's place but we wish we had more. The location was private and secluded but an easy drive to a couple nearby towns, as well as general location in NI made it a great choice. Sam and his family were so warm and welcoming and we felt right at home. Wish we could have stayed longer!

Absolutely perfect! Kim was so communicative and delightful to work with, and Bothan Nanna was wonderful. It was exactly as described, and in a perfect location for further exploration into the Highlands. Kim had everything extra I could possibly need to begin my stay, and more! Comfortable, private and great value for a high quality place to stay to break up a very long drive. Great host and the hot tub is idyllic. Appreciated James communication and local restaurant recommendations. It has everything you need including a very comfy bed and good bathroom.

I simply loved it.. words cannot describe how the place made me feel... Ryan sure knows what he's doing and he's very good at it.... I can't wait to return again!!!

Great stay, the cabin was beautiful and clean and in a lovely, peaceful area and we found Carol to be very accommodating. Would happily stay again!

As always this is my fourth or fifth time back to here. Always have a great relaxing time and plenty to do. The caravan is very well equipped. Everything you need. Also take my great nephew who is 6 yrs old here sometimes and he absolutely loves the play park on the grounds. Monica and Stuart are the perfect hosts. Always at the end of a phone if required. 5/5

Great base for exploring the area. Modern kitchen/bathroom, very well kitted out with anything you could need. Lots of nice places to eat within a short walk - we recommend The Bothy for breakfast/lunch.

The Smiddy was without doubt the most beautiful, clean and well equipped place we have stayed in. The view from the property was stunning and there were so many thoughtful touches from the maps and local books to the delicious and very helpful goodies which meant we didn't have to rush to the shops. Carmen and John were perfect hosts, really friendly but not at all intrusive. John was a real mine of local information and it was lovely to hear a bit more about the area, including the visiting orcas. We would definitely revisit and would highly recommend.

We booked here for our daughter birthday. She loved the hot tube, Orla was very helpful and friendly. We brought our dog. There was a lot of room for the dog to ran about. Orla has 2 beautiful dogs of her own and they are very friendly. My daughter just loved the dogs a lot of hugs and kisses 😂 we will be back in the future, thank you

Maddy was so welcoming and lovely! She made sure I knew where everything was, how things worked and that I had everything I needed. The chalet was immaculately kept and very comfortable. Beautiful location not too far out of town with amazing views and so quiet and peaceful. Throughly enjoyed my stay and would definitely recommend, the place is perfect!

Our second stay and will definitely be coming back. Lodge is very clean, has everything needed for a comfortable stay and the kids love the hot tub. Perfect location- 10 min walk to Penrith town centre and 10 mins drive to A66 and M6. Thanks for another great stay guys!

We had the best stay at Doireann’s house. The accommodation itself is perfect. Really clean, comfortable and spacious, with the most amazing views. Doireann ans her family are super helpful and friendly. We couldn’t have asked for more
